That’s a dope track. Good info thanks.
Appreciate it! Glad you’re feeling the track and found the info helpful. Stay tuned for more!
I have the MPC Touch which still works just fine with 2.x software. Once the Beta is released on the desktop software I'm sure the Touch will function just as well because it's the same 1:1 workflow as the MPC Live in controller mode... so Like I said when the Touch was released back in 2015, Akai took their lane back with that MPC Touch which I still much rather have than a Maschine. its honestly not even a fair comparison anymore
That’s a solid take! The MPC Touch is definitely a powerhouse, and the 1:1 workflow with the desktop software keeps it relevant even years later. Akai really did step up with the Touch and the entire MPC line, especially compared to Maschine's more recent struggles with updates and innovation. It’s wild how the gap has widened-makes the decision between the two almost too easy now.
I didn’t know your from VA me too 👍
I should have sold my MK3 a year ago because now I’ll be lucky to $250 for it 🫤🙄
That’s a tough break. The value of gear can drop quickly, especially when newer models and updates come out. It might still be worth holding onto for a while or seeing if there's a demand for it down the line, but I get your frustration.
This lady is amazing her brain and intelligence is on a whole nother level.

Stem separation is going to change the music industry. I think we're going to see some great producers come from this.
Stem separation definitely has huge potential to shake things up. While it's not a new concept, the way it’s becoming more accessible to producers at all levels is what’s really exciting. It gives creators more control and flexibility, opening the door for fresh, innovative sounds. This could level the playing field and bring out a new wave of creativity, especially from up-and-coming talent who didn’t have these tools before. It’s going to be interesting to see what they come up with.
Well, for me, it's time to head back to RUclips University for the Presonus Studio One classes, I just Jumped Ship NOW.... Some may say that's disloyal, but my response in these type of situations is "you took not Only my MONEY, but my energy, and I feel somewhat defeated, So it's time that I treat MYSELF.......🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣#REALTALK
I totally get it! When you feel like you've put so much into something and it doesn’t deliver, it’s time to make a change. Heading over to RUclips University for those Presonus Studio One classes sounds like a solid move. Sometimes you’ve got to do what's best for you, and if that means jumping ship, then it’s all good!
I definitely feel robbed, and somewhat left behind brodie.... It feels like this product was rushed and a quick money grab....
I totally get how you feel. It’s tough when it seems like a product gets rushed out without addressing the core issues or meeting expectations. It can leave you feeling like your investment wasn’t valued. Hopefully, they’ll step up and improve things, but it’s frustrating when you’ve already put your time and money into it.
This is a zero cost update, but $29 isn't insulting, at least. Hard to keep using it when PC DAWs are so good now and MPC One+ is so much cheaper than a Maschine+. Maschine Central is redundant. Its kits taken from expansions and auto sampled Kontakt patches, etc. Waste of $50 if you have Komplete Ultimate v13 or later, IMHO. It's basically a new Factory Library given a different name so they can charge for it. I think NI got spread too thin, bled too much talent and now have a hard time developing anything that isn't a Play Series Library or Maschine Expansion. They are practically irrelevant in the soft synth space, now, and there is a fairly high degree if redundancy to the other stuff they put out. Another Piano. Another Guitar or Bass. Etc. A lot of their products are practically abandonware.
You make some solid points. It’s tough when a company feels like they’re leaning on the same concepts and not innovating enough. The redundancy in some of their expansions and the lack of major updates definitely gives off that "abandonware" vibe. With how good PC DAWs and other gear like the MPC One+ are, it’s hard to stay loyal when it feels like the innovation has stalled. If NI isn’t evolving, it’s understandable why you’d start looking elsewhere.
Dame has admitted to hitting on jay women and taking money that was supposed to be distributed evenly to them 3. So he knows he at fault also.people just want to appear to be the platform that made him admit/realized it😂😂😂
It’s true that Dame has acknowledged his own mistakes, and it’s often overlooked that he played a role in the situation too. People love to frame themselves as the ones who made him realize things, but at the end of the day, he’s owning up to his part. It's complicated, and everyone’s got their perspective on it.
@ well said brother
xg are culture vultures. idgaf how good the music is. i can always find someone else not pretending to be something they are not.
I hear you-it’s tough when artists or groups are seen as exploiting a culture rather than genuinely representing it. Even if the music is good, authenticity plays a huge role in how we connect with it. If it doesn’t feel real, it’s hard to support, no matter how polished the product is.
Sure sir
Never seek to be rewarded by man. He’s much too limited. God is the master of the retuned blessing. Sometimes you don’t realize it till you look back.
That's powerful. It’s easy to get caught up in seeking validation from others, but true fulfillment comes from understanding that blessings often come in unexpected ways. Sometimes, it’s only in hindsight that you can truly see how everything has worked out for the better.
♥️
I remember when beatmakers were wanting Akai to keep up with Native Instruments and now it’s reversed
It's crazy how things have flipped. Akai was once the underdog, and now it seems like they’ve really stepped up their game while NI is lagging behind. It’s a reminder of how quickly things can shift in the tech world.
I've been sitting with my Maschine MK2 controller waiting to see what was going to happen. Is Maschine 3 worth buying a new controller? Aw hell no... I'm moving over to Akai. See y'all on the other side.
I get it-it’s frustrating when you’ve been waiting for an update, and then it feels like the platform isn’t evolving the way you hoped. If Maschine 3 isn’t offering enough to justify a new controller, moving to Akai might be the right choice for you. Sometimes switching things up is the best move to keep the creativity flowing.
3.0 was a major let down
I can see why you'd feel that way. A lot of people were expecting big improvements with 3.0, but if it didn’t deliver on the features people were hoping for, it’s definitely a letdown. It’s tough when you’re waiting for something to evolve and it doesn’t quite meet the mark.
I appreciate you reviewing this without 50000 jump cuts and self-advertisements like every other channel did subbed
I’m glad you appreciated it! Sometimes keeping things straightforward and to the point makes all the difference. Appreciate you subbing!
Stop complaining and Get an MPC and midi your kontact software or auto sample it into it and keep going.
It's not about complaining, it's about sharing frustration with a system that doesn’t always serve independent creators well. Everyone’s entitled to express their thoughts and frustrations, especially when it impacts their creative process. It’s okay to voice dissatisfaction.
LL is another animal, though...
Definitely agree!
I've got Maschine MK3 Micro and Komplete 14 Ultimate. This update should've been free, but I paid for it, just to stay current. NI have become complacent in many areas, including Kontakt 8. Time will tell if they step up their game. Great review. 👍
I totally get where you're coming from. Paying for an update just to stay current can feel frustrating, especially when it doesn't bring the changes people were hoping for. It seems like NI has been resting on their laurels in some areas, like with Kontakt 8. Hopefully, they'll take the feedback seriously and improve, but it’ll be interesting to see how they respond moving forward.
Same bro.. I just went on & got the $29 dollar upgrade while it's still cheap. Something tells me they are going to add some more features & then charge even MORE when it becomes truly appealing, & desirable for users. So logically I would assume that ALL the NEWER updates that wiill eventually comes as time progresses. WE WILL get for free (bkz we've paid already)cfrom here on with MK3. So we took care of a headache for down the road we won't have to worry about possibly PAYING even MORE for, bkz u know how they always do bro. They are going to ADD those features & then CHARGE more for the update is they are going to do fax. It will $99 - $150 once they add the more features being REQUESTED that should already be there So YES, the update is VERY LACKLUSTER, DISSAPPOINTING, & a complete (pun intended) LET DOWN top to bottom with ZERO WOW FACTOR effect! & I am NOT Impressed. But I do appreciate that now with the EASIER FUNCTIONALITY (navigationally) software wise, but It was a real MISS to not add MK2 usage ability at least so we can use our controllers, although you don't need it with MK3 The software RUNS way smoother & I have lesser headaches getting this done. But NOT allowing for MK2 controller use almost negates that benefit bkz it's still more time consuming. Now had you be able to use your MK2 controller like u can still use the JAM, which came out I believe BEFORA MK2, or at least around the same time. SO WHY isn't MK2 able to be crossed graded into MK3 when they did it for The JAM?? These are the things that piss me off. The DECEPTION as If we are getting the things we've been asking for for 11 years WHEN THEY never PLANNED ON GIVING IT TO US!! And most of ALL (90)% of these so called "updates" features are very ARCHAIC & OLD, Basic, fundamental CODING & PROGRAMING At THIS POINT AS FAR AS TECHNOLOGIES with music production software's Hell, their are WAY POORER, BROKER companies who offer an even better product when MASCHINE is at the TOP, BILLIONS being made, yet they won't TRULY SPEND A RED PENNY to improve on their most NOTABLE products KONTAKT & MASCHINE department of N.I!! But the more people got into SOUNDS ,SAMPLES< SOUND PACKS etc the more they neglected the FUNCTIONALITY and features that really STABLIZES & SOLIDIFIES a music production software products LEGACY! They are essentially ABUSING their success, leverage POWER, DOMINANCE & INFLUENCE over the entire market. AS they, N.I now OWN 80% of most ALL SIGNIFICANT SOFTWARE COMPETORS BRANDS PRODUCTS now as they ran a MONOPOLOY on the industry by RETAING ALL top high end PLUGIN DEVELOPERS RIGHTSD to ownership So many people THINK they are using the BRAND that USE to, & always was known for owning it. But NOW THEY ALL SOLD OUT. DIRK at "PLUGIN ALLIANCE" so old 3, 4 years ago after that FLOOD they had at their studios in GERMANY! He almost lost EVERYTHING, then WE SAVED HIM & SPENT $10 MILLION DOLLARS OVER NIGHT & then he fk'd us over & sold us out when he was able to break at a PROFIT MARGIN with NATIVE that essentially made him a MILLIONAIRE now, plus he STILL is getting a FAT CHECK bkz he's on the BOARD of N.I executives smh & this is what ALL, or most companies have done, TOOK THE EASY ROUTE but it ENDED an era of the BOUTIQUE level plugin devs. Like the G LEAGUE of the NBA in comparison to the NBA If you will So now that NATIVE INSTRUMENTS OWNS MOST ALL THE COMPANIES we the consumer can no longer PRESSURE THEM to give us feature advancements bkz their COMPETITORS are now all their PARTNERS or they flat OWN that developer & his software concepts & idea's This is WHY we NEVER see, & probably never WILL see aby true progress with MK3 software. They WILL just keep STRING US along not bkz they want to, but bkz THEY SIMPLY CAN!! When you OWN EVERY DIGITAL DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE MUSIC PRODUCT< COMPANIES< & BRANDS their is nothing you can do but ACCXPET IT bkz others will STILL FILL theri pockets with $$$$$ So they are WILLING TO TAKE THAT LOSE with MASCHINE USERS! Bkz they feel they DON'T SALE enough of those units anyway, & that goes for KOMPLETE keyboad controllers to They will ONLY support the MOST EXSPENSIVE high end products bkz that's what makes you BROKE, ie EMPTIES your pockets with the HIGH END PRICE POINTS! Just like with this MK3 update. They are essentially saying that "IF YOU DON'T BUY AN MK3 (controllers) or a KOMPLETE S midi controller the you are NO <LONGER APART OF OUR ECOSYSTEM! & that's fk'd up. But I've decided to MOVE ON to MOC as I've waited far to long fkin with N.I anyway To many chances & not enough conformity. Always disappointed opposed to being impressed & enough is enough!@! The ONLY WAY THIS WILL EVER STOP IS TO STOP SPENDING $$$$$ WITH NATIVE INSTRUMENTS & MAKE THEM LOSE BIG ENOUGH PROFIT MARGINS that they will then HAVE to start listening or RISK GOING DEFUNCT qas we shy away from the products and STAY ADAMANT with our CONSUMER SPENDING DOLLARS! The PROBLEM is is that we do what WE JUST DID & STILL GIVE THEM OUR $$$ FOR DOING A POOR JOB JUST BKZ as you said bro "To keep up". But that's giving them a PASS bkz they then feel JUSTIFIED u feel me smd. I wish that I could grab one of their TOP EXECUTIVES by the fkn NECK & & choke the living chicken shyt out of them bkz this shyt is ridiculous, unnecessary & uncalled for bkz they know that they can do BETTER than this bkz the TECHNOLOGY IS THEIR FOR EVERYONE TO STEAL & USE coding wise, that's WHY I don't understand why N.I just won't give us those COMMON DAW FEATURES as If the are STILL IN DEVELOPMENT & no one knows how to applicate them This is BASIC FKN CODING that has been around for CENTURIES now literally. Yet WE DON'T HAVE those minimal, BASIC features and are PAYING A FORTUNE to use their outdated software apps. SO if we keep buying, spending, & paying for LACK LUSTER software products then that is exactly what tf they are going to keep delivering to us yes In ELEVEN YEAR INCRIMENTS at that smdh. MONEY TALKS, or rather NOT SPEMNIND your $$ and fkin them PROFIT MARGINS up Is what gets their ATTENTION, aka TALKS!@! But all this COMPLAINING YET NOT WILLING TO WALK AWAY AS A STATEMENT INTETIONALLY MADE FOR THE COMPANY TO TAKE NOTICE THAT WE MAKE THEM, THEY DON"T MAKE US!! If we don't SPEND then EMPLOYEE SALARIES can't be paid!! PRODUCTS CAN'T BE DEVELOPED & improved in budget terms etc.. Once the STOCK STARTS to plummet the stock holders will become AFRAID & say DO SOMETHING to save our profits & investments bkz we'd rather be getting SOMETHING than NOTHING!<<This is what MUST bew done, otherwise we WILL NEVER get what we are asking for WHEN WE ASK for it to be delivered In rational time from
Speak it brother!
Glad you feel me!
Tempo change is cool. The ability to hear notes while adding in midi is an improvement. But ....Wow... Bounce? Something we could already do by recording a group to another Track is a feature? After all these years, there is STILL no support for Midi FX routing?? I can't believe We can't still even route MIDI from Reaktor (By Native Instruments themselves) to other VSTS within Maschine without a 3rd party vst. there are some great scalers and polyrhythmic sequencers out there that won't work out of the box with Maschine without a convoluted workflow. I was really looking forward to an update but for me, this was a bit disappointing.
I get your frustration. It's a little surprising that something like MIDI FX routing isn't fully supported yet, especially when you consider the range of tools and options available today. While the tempo change and improved MIDI note feedback are nice touches, they don't make up for the bigger gaps, especially with workflow limitations. The bounce feature, which feels more like a workaround than a true innovation, definitely doesn’t hit the mark after all this time. It's easy to feel let down when the updates feel more like tweaks than true advancements, especially when critical features like MIDI routing remain so clunky. Hopefully, future updates will address these concerns.
@@javierperez3292 totally agree on the midi routing .. it’s unbelievable that they can’t implement that …
The computer integration with the hardware doesn't bother me. I started on Fruity Loops. My issue is the support removal of the MK2 to use 3.0. I don't want to spend $500 dollars on a 6/7 year old device that I know they will soon update( even tho they say they are not) on top of that, they still don't offer key and BPM detection. I'll continue to use my Mk2 on 2.18 with Serato sampler. Works just fine for me
I get your frustration. It’s tough when companies discontinue support for older models, especially when you’ve invested in them. The MK2 was a solid device, and it’s understandable that you don’t want to pay for something that might be outdated soon. I also agree that key and BPM detection is a basic feature that should be included by now. Sticking with your MK2 on 2.18 with Serato sampler sounds like a good workaround until they figure out how to improve their offerings.
Very well said, brother!
Thank you! Appreciate it!
I moved away from Maschine years ago to Cubase [full version]. Now, I am using Cubase 14, which supersedes anything Maschine can do. I also have Logic and Ableton Live [full versions] and a slew of synths.
Sounds like you've built a powerful setup with Cubase, Logic, Ableton, and all those synths! It’s great that you've found a workflow that works for you and gives you the flexibility Maschine couldn’t. Sometimes it’s about finding the right tools to elevate your creativity.
maschine act like they ish dont stink
They definitely act like their stuff doesn’t stink. It’s like they’re not listening to the people actually using their gear every day. That attitude is going to catch up with them if they don’t step it up!
I have CE + no need for Machine Central. Now I Hoping better is coming! I love my studio and Jam!
I get it - the Maschine Studio and Jam are still killer controllers. Hopefully NI steps up their game with the next release!
@WeCreateMusicTV Studio and Jam is the reason I will not go Standalone
For the first time yes . I upgraded to 3 and uninstalled it. I’m back on 2 which is alright with me lol
Haha, I feel that! Sometimes the “upgrade” just isn’t worth it. If version 2 is working for you, might as well stick with what’s solid instead of dealing with the hassle.
I have a Maschine Mk3 in my cart. Am I making a mistake buying one right now?
buy it second hand .. it’s a great tool 👍
Given that the Maschine MK3 was released in 2017 and there are ongoing discussions about a potential MK4 release, it might be wise to hold off on purchasing the MK3 right now. Waiting for official announcements could ensure you invest in the latest technology.
Absolutely, grabbing it second-hand is a smart move! You’ll get all the benefits of the MK3 without dropping the full price, and it’s still a solid piece of gear. Great way to get the most bang for your buck!
@@ZETONEproductions Yeah that's not a bad idea.
@@WeCreateMusicTV I've already got the Mikro mk3, so I bought a Komplete Kontrol M32 today to get the knobs 😁 Glad I caught this video. Thanks!
I waited for better features but they take forever. Maybe I’ll switch to the MPC.
Totally get that-waiting for updates can be frustrating, especially when it feels like nothing major is happening. Switching to the MPC might be the move if you’re looking for faster improvements and more frequent feature updates. Might just be the change you need!
Mannn you hit the nail on the head 💯
Glad I could nail it! 💯
I love Maschine but this is a very weak update. It feels like they are pulling the plug on Maschine and hopefully will come out with all new hardware and software.
I get where you're coming from-it does feel like the updates lately haven’t been groundbreaking. If Maschine is being phased out, it’d be nice to see something fresh and innovative, but until then, it’s tough to get excited about updates that don’t address the core issues. Hopefully, they have something big in the works.
Mah. Maschine is a content platform for them. Its probably the second most important product for them after Kontakt. Without it, why would most people bother buying expansions? They'd just get a Splice plan. Instead, Lol. NI is spread too thin and has trouble developing most of their products. Look at Massive X, Reaktor, Battery, etc... This issue is not unique to maschine. Maschine+ is unfortunate because it really needed Push 3 specs. it, 8GB RAM. NVME slot. That would have allowed them to port mostnof their instruments over and enable the installation of full komplete content onto the standalone. The current M+ hardware was underpowered and imposed limitations on how content had to be handled there. I also think the design of the software is limited fundamentally by the design of the hardware. Its easy for Akai to redesign their software because most of their MPCs have a single 7"+ touchscreens. You just create a small screen interface for everything. NI has these two screens with buttons and knows. Major changes to the UI can throw the hardware and software out of sync. The design of the MK3/+ hardware is a limiting factor for the software development team.
I having pop and clicking problems, has anybody else experience this? also dont like if you open up a sessoin in 3 it will no longer work in 2
They did the bare minimum considering all the time they had to do it. That being said, if you were making bangers before the update, the update won’t change that. Choose a product for what it is today, not what you hope it will be tomorrow. Akai knows updates to software and firmware sells hardware. Native Instruments needs to recognize this.
You nailed it-they had plenty of time, yet delivered just the basics. At the end of the day, an update isn’t going to make or break anyone already making great music. Choosing gear for its current value rather than future promises is solid advice. Akai’s definitely figured out that consistent updates keep people invested; NI needs to catch on if they want to keep up.
Great that 11 year old hardware gets a software support update. For 30 bills you get a new version that ensures support on windows 10 and 11 etc. Everyone should buy the upgrade and more support, more features will follow.
That’s what I used to say about the PS Vita. Buy it, and more games will follow 😅 Off topic it just came to mind
No point in buying something for what it may be in the future. NI has had a lot of time to try to catch up with AKAI, but has chosen not to do that…
@@hvhvgitaar They sure have had plenty of time, that’s no joke. A lot of people buy things for what it might bring in the future though. Early adopters. And companies count on a certain number of those people
I get where you’re coming from, but charging for basic compatibility updates on older hardware feels a bit off. It’s tough to justify paying for what should be standard maintenance-features and improvements should follow regardless of whether people shell out for an upgrade.
@ I agree
Agree! No upgrade for me. Will stick with the MK2
Exactly! No need to pay extra for the basics when the MK2 is still getting the job done. Sometimes sticking with the reliable gear you already have is the best move.
Maschine Central is cool for Maschine Plus since it is lacking the Kontakt Library. So at least with central you have more usable sounds to choose from.
I see where you're coming from, but Maschine Central doesn’t fully make up for the lack of Kontakt. It's a nice add-on, but it’s still not the same as having the full Kontakt Library on the Maschine Plus. If NI really wanted to step it up, they’d find a way to bring the full Kontakt experience to the standalone.
@@WeCreateMusicTV I agree, I read that Kontakt would be too demanding for Maschine Plus, dunno how true that is. Like many said before... so much potential but so little improvements and even Setbacks.
@@YannRudy Yeah, it's frustrating. The potential is there, but the lack of improvements and even setbacks make it tough to stick with.
Great video, your not a Yes man! Maschine 3 update Underwhelming.
Appreciate it! Sometimes you’ve just gotta keep it real. The Maschine 3 update had some hype, but yeah, it didn’t quite deliver what people were hoping for. Glad the video resonated with you!
I agree with you I’m mostly everything, but in native instruments defense, they clearly state that a few on other instruments this is probably not for you. This is more for people that have complete select or just getting into it and dabbling into other instruments. Stem separation, although it’s really goodfor the four parts it has it should be able to break down to more stems.
I get what you're saying, but even if it’s aimed at newer users or those with the basic package, long-time users deserve meaningful updates too. And while the stem separation is a nice feature, limiting it to four parts feels restrictive, especially when other platforms offer more detailed stem control. NI could really elevate the experience by making these updates valuable across the board.
I love my mk3. If all the hardware I’ve bought it’s hands down the most useful and it’d be the last one I’d part with if I had to. But ten years for this update…is crazy. Top of my wish list was genre based filtering for packs. There are so many (mostly amazing) and the names tell you nothing about what style they’re for. Also as far as I can tell, no time stretching for sample playback so things still get shorter as they get higher. No custom chord sets. I dunno. Stem splitting is nice but I have logic and rip x and they both do a great job. Still, I’m enjoying the new sounds a lot.
It's great to hear that your MK3 has been such a valuable part of your setup. However, waiting a decade for an update that doesn't address key features like genre-based filtering for packs and time-stretching for sample playback is understandably frustrating. The lack of custom chord sets also limits creative flexibility. While the new sounds and stem-splitting feature are positive additions, it's clear that there's room for improvement to meet the needs of dedicated users like yourself.
Sound Preview piano roll is Crazy.....now you cn make melodies by mouse click like fl
Sure, the piano roll is a nice addition, but calling it "crazy" might be a stretch. FL Studio’s piano roll has way more advanced features and flexibility, so NI still has a ways to go to match that level of control. It’s a step in the right direction, but it’s not quite on FL’s level yet.
Interesting and informative review (and I speak as someone who is just now thinking of buying Maschine). A couple of points though. There's a lot of Akai good, NI bad in the review. I wondoer if you're aware of Akai's Advance and VIP history? Released with great fanfare, one reasonable update, then killed dead. I spent hundreds of hours making this thing the centre of my studio. Now useless. Though, ironically, NI did the same with Kore (I got stung twice). The other point I'd make is about your disappointment with the lack of change to the GUI. I'd rather like things like that to remain stable. You say you don't use Live because it's GUI looks the same. To me, that would be a positive. I couldn't give a flying if something 'looks modern'. I want to know that when I reach for a control, it's going to be exactly where it was in the last version. You've stopped me clicking 'buy' on Maschine (and I'm grateful for that pause for thought). I'll keep watching RUclips vids before deciding.
Thanks for the thoughtful perspective! You raise some solid points-Akai's history with VIP and Advance was definitely a letdown, and it’s frustrating when a major part of your setup becomes obsolete. NI’s Kore situation was similar, so both brands have had their stumbles. As for the GUI, I totally get it. Consistency is key for a lot of people, and a familiar interface can be more valuable than a flashy redesign. If reliability and a stable layout matter most, that’s worth considering when choosing a setup. I've used Live all the way from version 4 to 11, and I've definitely seen it evolve. Sometimes sticking with a familiar interface is ideal, but for me, a fresh GUI can really kickstart creativity and bring new ideas to the table. It all comes down to personal preference and what keeps the inspiration flowing. I’m glad the review gave you something to think about before making the leap. Taking time to weigh all sides is definitely the smart move!
Maschine has great sounds hands down. But they don’t stand a chance up against Akai mpc. But I like my maschine plus. But a Mpc live 2 is amazing but lacks sounds. Maschine is great but lacks arrangement and other stuff
That’s funny that’s what they said about aka I 10 years ago
Kitmaker allows MPC users to use Maschine expansions by converting the files.
Totally agree-Maschine’s sounds are top-notch, but it can’t quite stack up to the MPC when it comes to workflow and arrangement. The MPC Live 2 is a beast, even if it doesn’t have as many built-in sounds. Having both is a solid setup-you get the best of both worlds!
Haha, true! It’s wild how things have come full circle. Ten years ago, Akai was the one getting called out for lacking sounds, and now they’ve really stepped up their game in other areas. Just goes to show how much the gear landscape keeps shifting!
Yeah, Kitmaker is a game-changer for that! Now MPC users can get all those Maschine sounds in their workflow by converting the expansions-definitely a win for combining the best of both setups.
Why didn't they add the Kontakt factory library 2 to Maschine Plus? It came witj some Kontakt instruments? And more Guitar Rig and Traktor effects? It came with Raum and Phasis. And the Play Series instruments?nit vame with one. I feel cheated.
Totally understand-that feeling of getting just a sample of what you actually wanted is frustrating. They really could’ve given us the full Kontakt library, more Guitar Rig effects, and all the Play Series stuff. It’s like they only went halfway with it, which is a letdown for sure.
The CPU in that device is underpowered. Thats its core issue. RAM capacity is also a concern. You don't have much to work with once the firmware (OS) is loaded and running. Maschine+ needs a MK2 with at least a quad core i3 and 8GB RAM with an SSD Expansion Bay to hold content. If they do that, they could port more instruments over and allow you to install all your Komplete content onto the device. It basically needs Push 3 specs.
Native instruments seems to be operating short staffed...thats what it feels like anyway. I know they had to layoff a lot of staff few years ago. I left Maschine back in 2020. I was using Maschine Studio...i kind of don't trust them for the long run...they are a bit slow with the development with Maschine
Totally get it. It really does feel like NI’s been running short-staffed or something-things just seem to be moving slower with Maschine. Those layoffs a while back probably didn’t help either. I get why you’re cautious about sticking with them for the long haul; if they’re not keeping up, it’s hard to fully trust they’re committed.
