This song was groundbreaking, written by Johhny Young, produced by Molly Meldrum, the original backing by a band called Lotus.
The best thing about this is that not one of these talented ladies outshines the other. They each bring their own unique brand of brilliance and it comes together into something magical. Très bon 👏

Saw Russell do this song last night in Brisbane with his band and a full orchestra. He was playing pubs recently & just finished this national tour selling 10,000 tickets. Amazing performance from anyone let alone a bloke aged 75 … 54 years after this was a hit. Nice flashback re Kate. Met her in winter 1985 ski season at Falls Creek Victoria when she was in “I’m Talking”. Hung out with her brother Phil that season. The definition of talent, passion and soul put together in a truly outstanding cover and performance , it's a shame many today can't sing with these 3 attributes and just rely on trend to make it..
I absolutely love these women and Mahalia Barnes is one of my favorites too . But I couldn't make a decision about which one of these was better than the other . It's just talent that can't be match . Other ones might be as good but no way they could be any better .
