I'm glad i saw this. Being 6'5, this may not work. I need to find one to try first. But being over 40 a machine like this would help me a ton. 😊
Nice review, hey I could use some of those collars lol
Thanks so much! 😂😂😂
Send me some of those collars, let me know the cost if you’re will to.
These are not the collars you want on a barbell. They are really kind of a pain because the screw comes out if you twist too far then the screw needs to be threaded back through.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews oh I’m not using them for barbells, I have other attachments or machines I could use them on.
This is where the magnifting spectacle came from the weight of the back machine and it ended up on the gamesmaster but atleast that shook the boat 😂
I finally took the plunge and purchased this on sale. Thanks for the hack regarding the blocks/grips. It made a HUGE difference. Love the channel, as I am a Powertec fan, as well.
Great to hear and thank you! This machine is pretty rare in home gyms, so I greatly appreciate knowing the hack helped you.
Who hacked the router?
I wish I had the space for this. Looks awesome! Great video!
Thanks so much! If I had to guess, you’ll figure out a way to add something similar to this to your Power Rack. 😆 😉 🙌
👍 Great Hacks! Do you still have the chin-up machine on Craigslist? I just made room for it in my gym and noticed you have no link to it anymore. Thx.
Thank you! No, I sold this about 10 months ago, it was just a bit too big for the Bonus Room above the garage.
Been using versa-grips for pull-ups as my grip strength maxes out before biceps. The Angles90 looks like a more ergonomic option, going to try them or gymnast rings.
I have the cobra grips and I’ll use them from time-to-time. However, I like the greater freedom of movement the Angles offer over fixed bars.
Hey Coach you just keep improving with every video and equipment keeps getting better. This machine is a keeper for sure👍Stay Blessed and healthy
Thanks so much, BbB! Same to you!
Good review. Thank you.
Thanks so much!
Thanks for the review. BTW, you were referring to another channel "Mrs Home Gym Hacks and Reviews". I cannot find that on my searches. Can you please point me to that channel? Thanks.
Thank you! Mrs. HGHR is my wife. She is at the end of the video…she doesn’t have a channel.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Hi Hacky, this isn't my thing, I just hate lifting body weight, assisted or not 😃 and do you want to record Mrs. HGHR in reverse next time?! thanks in advance 😉
@@leftwinger764 Hey, LW! Yeah, this definitely is not a machine for everyone. I’m also more of a machine / bar / plate type lifter.
I think this is Mrs. HGHRs third time appearing in a video. On rare occasions, she faces the camera…like in my review for the Ultimate Row Handle.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviewsthen i have missed it. I will look at it. Thanks
Gave ya a shoutout towards the end of my latest chest workout video. Just wanted to show appreciation.
If you're using the knee pad handles for chest presses, forward is great, reverse, I use an adjustable roller seat. That gives me the proper amount of range of motion and resistance that I was looking for. I would have bought this unit just for those exercises and prefer to use it that way over the attachment accessory on the lever gym.
Great to hear from someone who has this piece of equipment. I am glad to hear you like the pushdown exercises.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I've had this unit for 7 years. Still too old and fat to use it for what it was designed for, but I get a lot of chest and triceps benefits from it. Try an adjustable stool, chair or bench for the reverse press. You can load this unit with a lot more weight than the lever gym accessory like I mentioned and it is considerably sturdier than the other version. You and I have a lot of similar likes in equipment. I like going from the lever gym to the chest/tricep presses on this machine to the Titan fly machine. Great focused workout for chest.
I use a Adjustable Hydraulic Rolling Swivel Salon Stool Chair I bought from Amazon. The angle of the legs fit right up against the unit so it won't move.
@@knpo22 that 400 pound weight capacity definitely makes for a more sturdy piece than the 200 pound weight capacity of the attachments.
Thanks so much!
@@knpo22 very cool. I like it!
I’m over here happy with my sets of 8 pull-ups lol. Hey atleast the next time someone tells you “when pigs fly” you can point em my way!
😂 😂 😂
Thinking about buying this man and had to come check out your reviews beforehand! Top tier review as always
Thanks so much! If you do get it, I highly recommend the pull up bar hack I showed in this video.
Just one of the most likeable guys on RUclips. Period. Thank you Sir! Super informative and you always touch on all the key points. One question it doesn't look like the dip handles are adjustable. By any chance have you come up with a hack for that? Thank you!
Thank you so much! They are not adjustable and I have not come up with a hack. It would be awesome if they were adjustable. During the winter, when I spend more time in that gym, I hope I can come up with something that doesn’t require welding.
Home Gym Equipment
Excellent review. Thank you for crisp quality content.
Really appreciate it. Thank you!
HAHAHA “oh that’s nice” lol bro I felt this. Nice piece here. For sure as we age it’s something we will need more of. 30 is solid for pull ups too man!
lol! I’ve taken over most of the house, so she also has a love / hate relationship with all this stuff. Our wives have to put up with a lot 😂
I’m far from 30 nowadays. On a real good day, I’d like to get 20.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews 😂😂😂 Same. And hey I’m right there with you lol
It would be cool if you do more workout videos at your garage gym, thanks for the content
Thanks so much! This summer, I may try to document the program I am doing now. I hope it’s helpful to see the different pieces of equipment in action, which was one of the main goals in my DC Series.
Great video and creative hack, as always!
Thank you, Carter! I appreciate it!
I didn't know Monica B was still active in the fitness world.
It was some years ago, but still about 10 years after HS. (I’m trying not to date myself 😂)
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I thought you meant more recently. I remember being at the Night of Champions in NYC in the 1990s. She placed 4th. Thought the crowd was going to riot. A crowd favorite, for sure.
@@briand5047 this was a show she hosted (after her competition days). It’s where I met Phil Heath (before any of his Olympia wins) and Gunter Schlierkamp. You’ve been in the game for a while to recognize the name Monica Brant…not to mention see her compete! That’s awesome! 🙌
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Yeah. I haven't been at a contest in years. Might go to the Tampa Pro next year. Isn't far for me.
@@briand5047 very cool! It’s worth it just to go to the expo and get a bunch of free stuff 😂
How big is that room?
11’ x 22’ and the highest part of the ceiling is 8’.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews a guy wants to sell me one for 200. He's an hour away. I'm also 6'4". You think it will be ok for a tall person?
@@highschoolbullieskennel1461 that’s a good price. 6’4” is probably pushing it.
the woman's not-so-enthusiastic attitude to new gear is so recognizable. Is the foam at your mouth with enthusiasm, you dance with joy and you pee in your pants of
excitement, they casually say 'it's ok' 😡
If I could get my wife to like lifting as much as she likes running, I’d be in good shape 😂
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews believe it or not: same here! 😃
@@leftwinger764 lol! I tried to run with her on her birthday and made it about a 1/4 mile…nope…not for me. 😂
Great information
Thanks so much!
good review. yeah its kind of a niche machine and it seems its a tad on the smaller side trying to keep in home friendly. Over all not bad i guess if you're really building a "complete" home gym where you basically have everything..Good job and glad to see Ms HGHR in the video, even if it was her backside lol..Have a good day!!
Thanks Michael! Yeah, a few of the commercial ones I’ve used have 2-3 steps leading to the pull-up bars…I would’ve had to cut a hole in the roof for one of those 😂
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews hey..maybe one day "IF" you build a building for your gym you can go all out with the full size ones..im sure Ms HGHR would whoop you if you put a hole in the ceiling LOL!! Keep up the good work!!
@@thebodybeatdownDiTi lol! Believe me, I have thought about a building if I continue to do this.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews that could be epic..you seem to go all out with your love for equipment I bet you would really make a nice gym if given the chance..I look forward to the day..
@@thebodybeatdownDiTi thanks so much, Michael. Yeah, I truly love bodybuilding, home gym equipment, etc. We shall see.
