Thank you for the wonderful video and review! We thank everyone who has purchased an Atlas Bar! We have added new inventory to our Etsy and Amazon stores so no one will miss out!
I appreciate that, James! I am really looking forward to years of training with the Atlas Bar.
When I saw you get one of these, I went ahead and purchased one. Your reviews are highly trustworthy.
Thanks so much! Please let me know what you think.
Thanks for the update, I was going to ask about Radio's issue. Great job.
Thanks so much! The new one is rock-solid.
Great format! It was cool to see a review, heating tip, and update all in one video.
Great to hear and thanks so much!
Like all your video's This one made me think about how I worked out in my carport. Snow ,rain and sometimes crazy heat. Like you I never missed a workout and I got close to benching 4 plates and could do 30 pullups. 35 years later I'm still working out but in spare room inside the house. Spoiled now.
Those cold workouts will definitely add character, grit, and toughness. I’m glad I did them, but I don’t miss them.
lol! I felt spoiled this morning in my 60 degree garage while it’s in the low 30s outside.
Good stuff. I totally understand the golfers/ tennis elbow issues. Glad you found a way to help yours. Have a great day and upcoming week.
Taking a break from lifting isn’t an option for me, so finding a way to work around an injury is paramount. Luckily, I think my elbow is on its way to being 100%. Thanks so much! You too, BBD!
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Im with you on the no time off. Unless its something drastic. We can typically work around most things. Just mixing it up a bit and keeping the body moving works wonders. Glad to hear about your elbow..
Exactly. Thank you, BBD!
Wow, on top of everything else, this looks like a good way to stabilize the wrist during certain cable workouts for folks who have carpal tunnel or other repetitive strain injuries. Great review!
Thanks so much. I definitely think the Atlas Bar will minimize pain and allow someone to work around wrist injuries.
Had bad tennis elbow 2 years ago!! Love that something like this exists! Great content as always bro
Thanks so much, LGG. I’m not sure if the AB eases the pain as much with tennis elbow as it does with golfer’s elbow, and hopefully I don’t have to find out 🤓
Atlas bar seems interesting…been also experiencing elbow and wrist pain from lifting and playing hockey 3 times a week…like you I never miss a workout even in the freezing cold Canadian winters in my garage 😂
I think it could work well for anyone with a wrist or hand injury.
Way to get those workouts in!
You know when you see something and think Why didn’t I think of this? This is one of those items haha.
lol! That’s usually the sign of a good product.
Format was great man!! 3 smaller videos in one was perfect.
Thank you, Tim. I appreciate that.
Good work HGHR! That back-supported tricep extension looks like it hits!
Thank you! It really is a solid exercise.
Having heat and AC is so nice. I just installed a Dynaglo 30,000 btu propane heater hung it on the wall and its perfect in a 20x20 garage. I use a portable AC for cooling vented outside thru a hole I cut and used a RV tube with slide door to close the hole outside when not in use.
That sounds like a good setup!
Good stuff as always! I still need to insulate the garage, but decided to get more cold gear clothes from underarmor and it’s working thus far.
Sounds like my last garage gym. 2 pairs of pants. 3-4 shirts, sweatshirt, stocking cap, and gloves. Right before I moved from my last garage gym, I insulated and put up Sheetrock and it helped tremendously. Thanks so much!
I grabbed a new infrared tower heater recently, and it has been a champ! That bar looks like a great addition.
Good to hear you found a good heating option for your garage, BGB. Thanks so much!
When you were using the A.B. on the short the other day, it reminded me of a Nautilus bicep machine I used years ago that had a block on the wrists instead of handles.
Interesting. Off the top of my head, I don’t remember seeing that model. Again, AJ had a lot figured out.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews There is a picture of Mike Mentzer using one, but I couldn't find it on Google Images. I think it was in a Robert Kennedy (Muscle Mag International publisher) book. Either Beef It or Hardcore Bodybuilding. Your father probably has or had both books.
@@briand5047 I’ll be on the lookout now.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews How you ever tried any of the Nautilus home gyms?
@@briand5047 I have not. Do they compare somewhat well to the commercial grade pieces in terms of good body mechanics / resistance profiles, etc.
Just bought one based off of your review and through your Amazon store. Merry Christmas!
Greatly appreciated. Thank you. I hope you like it as much as I do. Please let me know what you think.
Any thoughts on what to replace the “pads” with?
@@joemullen8453 it can’t be anything much thicker than what is presently on the bar. A squat pad might work, but the opening could present a problem. The easiest option, which I have yet to try, is glue the existing pads in place.
I'd never seen this product. Amazing idea. I've had significant issues with wrist pain when working heavy curls to the point I feel it has really limited my growth and progression. I will definitely be checking this out.
Although I’m not dealing with wrist pain, I think the AB could be even more beneficial for wrist pain than elbow pain based on the bar’s design.
Update. I bought it. I love it. My only complaints are the welds could be better and the paint is sort of thin. But it works as advertised. Much easier to curl heavy with this.
@@thomaskennedy7842 really good to hear. Thanks for the update.
Great video again lol
Thank you!
I am very sad to admit that I've never heard of the Atlas bar.
When did it come out?
So It provides comfort to the elbows as the force used to perform the rep starts from where the pad sits and not from the handles, there by shortening the moment arm but adding comfort and leverage to the lift there by allowing more weight to be used and less pain throughout the exercise.
Nice little tool!!!!
The pads adding leverage on the forearm will remove some force needed by the targeted muscle and distributes it through other muscles to complete the rep but the pads also allow you to use more weight and they add comfort.
I like it, a very nice addition to any gym.
Someone with bad elbows should love this piece of equipment.
Nice Video
I think it’s been out for at least 2-3 years.
That’s right. I have noticed much less inflammation with my golfer’s elbow (specifically after biceps training) since swapping out my other bars with this bar.
I use the same heating system (space heaters) and currently I have no A/C just like when I grew up lifting in my dad's friend's basement and we had a space heater and no A/C. Yeah, in the summer I sweat a lot and I'm looking into getting some kind of A/C but I can't see paying $2K-$4K for
A/C so I dont know what I'm gonna do, I might not do anyyhing.
Take Care
I certainly understand not wanting to do anything when faced with that big of a price tag. That’s exactly why I’ve never had an expensive heating / cooling system in any of my garage gyms. This summer, I’ll have a box fan or two and leave it at that.
Been dealing with tennis elbow for months. I might have to grab this.
I had tennis elbow before getting golfer’s elbow. I’m not sure how well it works for tennis elbow, but if you get it, please let me know if it helps.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews any thoughts on the best exercise for side delts while dealing with tennis elbow? DB laterals and cable laterals seem to make it flare up.
@@tribaltek what about lateral raises with a cuff(s) around the forearm(s)? Those work well for me since grip / the hands are removed.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews good call! I think I have some cuffs laying around. Will try on my next push day. Thanks!
I got to get one!
When you do, please let me know what you think.
Seems like a decent bar, though it does seem a little expensive for 1 inch tubing, non super clean welding and under finished padding. Like you say though, it gets the job done I guess
As a side note, I like the way you have the weight tree behind the multi press. I love the way I have the yellow levergym and yellow multi system amongst black equipment, black flooring and black walls. Yet, The way you have your black levergym and multi press Looks appealing with it's own charm for sure.
Also I am glad you are enjoying the powertec lat tower. Although I cannot justify getting one back into my arsenal due to money, space and being covered by other cable stack equipment, I do miss the powertec lat stack pieces.. both for design and for an excellent strong negative part of the reps. The lat tower also looks good. The first one since the mesh grill looks in my opinion, that is worth a good look.
It definitely gets the job done. For the versatility, quality of each exercise, and lack of pain with each movement, I’m happy with the price…shipping from
another country is also worked into the price.
Thank you. I was trying to figure out how to get more floor space and moving the weight tree behind the MP came to mind. Luckily, it works out perfectly and it almost looks like it’s built into the MP.
I agree; the yellow equipment in a gym with black walls and black flooring really looks sharp.
Thanks so much, JP!
Just put my order in.
Very cool. Please let me know what you think.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviewsjust got it this morning, I couldn’t use it right away because I was going to Work. I freaking LOVE ❤️ IT 👊. This is why I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. Your the main reason my gym has The Powertec Leverage Machine and the Ironman IM 2000 your hacks are like having a big Gym at poor man prices with limited space. Thanks again Bro, I really appreciate you 🫡👊
Nice! I think ill grab one!
After nearly 30
Years of training, ive finally realized that the key to best bicep activation is to keep your wrists as straight as possible !
Very cool. Please let me know what you think.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews well - id have to get a low pulley or preacher curl first lol
@@danski6694 lol, well there is that.
Ps - is that you on one of the fettle fitness advertisements i just saw on facebook??
@@danski6694 it is.
Hi, thank you for your review of the Atlas Bar. I ordered one. I wanted to “Mod” it and improve on it a bit. I have a set of Ironmaster Super Bench Pro V2 small leg roller pads that should fit perfectly in place of the standard ones. Additionally I have a set of Allen collars with a 1” diameter to be able to keep the roller pads set in place. Thirdly, I am getting some Stainless Steel slip on handles with the very aggressive knurl option made by Jesse at JD Gym Equipped at a 7” length.
These improvements will hopefully transform an already very nice piece of kit, into a top tier attachment? But the question I had for you is specific to the stainless steel knurled slip on handles. He has the option for them to be completely stationary with set screws or he also allows for the possibility of rotational ones. I can see that rotational might be a good enhancement to this piece, however, never having used it, I wanted to get your opinion on whether you would feel that having rotational hand grips would improve the piece and its function or make no difference at all, or even be a detriment? Thank you in advance for your reply/opinion
Thanks so much. I think all those upgrades could be very good. I made a RUclips Short with an update and I think I mentioned a revolving handle would be cool because all of my curl bars revolve and it could allow for a more fluid movement but I can’t guarantee.
I say go for it. Please let me know how it goes.
Thank you for your quick reply. I put the order in for rotational (Delrin bushings) 7” handles. I peek at your short as well. Once I get it all configured and tweaked I’ll let you know final outcome. Won’t be cheap outcome, but investing in a piece that gets a ton of use and should last forever will make it a worthwhile investment.
@@stevenkoos looking forward to hearing about it.
I am curious if you looked into a dedicated 240 volt breaker. A 240 volt space heater would have really gotten things warm out there.
I checked out a few of the 240 volt space heaters. I think my set up will get the job done, but if I decide I need it warmer and warmer faster, one of those would be a good next step.
Gday HGHR, hope you had a merry Christmas and happy new year mate
Seeing you're doing a few cable exercises here, how does rear delt flys feel on your powertec functional trainer?
I hacked my 2x3 rack with 2 high points and 2 low points for shackles and bought 2 high pulleys, so I use the existing high low tower on my rack when using both pulleys at the same time and the makeshift functional trainer I turned my rack into isn't too bad, I can do unilateral high and low rows and unilateral pulldowns on the floor/crossovers/seated rows if I connect the low pulleys with a chain etc, but rear delt flys is an exercise I haven't tried yet, but hope it works. I think I seen you use your daisy chains on your powertec levergym for it, so I'm guessing it'd work for me
Thanks so much and same to you, RWBB. I had to cut grooves into the pulley housing so each pulley could swivel 180 degrees. Without that modification, it didn’t work very well. However, I have a few rear delt variations I perform on 1 pulley while using both hands. If you check out yesterday’s RUclips Short, you’ll see what I’m talking about. Not a lot of tension in the beginning of the rep, but for the second half of the rep the hack works really well.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews ok cool, just watched it.
Yeah I've been doing incline cable pullovers last few months and as long as I have a little bit of tension/close to no slack at the start then it feels decent, so while those cable flys are a bit of a different movement pattern I guess the tension would be similar still
Ok, it works ok, I just have to pull at the same time to even out the tension
Would you compare this bar to the Max grip and Prime cable attachments
I sold my Prime attachments and knock-off Mag Grips. I found I was using my GymPin D Handle with my Revolving D Handles and Angles 90 Grips more. While all the above are mostly used for Pulldowns, the Atlas Bar is used more for curls. This has been far more helpful for my golfer’s elbow than those.
If someone already has a cable pulley setup; is the Powertec Multipress the better buy than the Levergym? The Levergym pulley function looks a bit weird.
I think so, but you would miss out on some of the lower body exercises like calf raises, squats, seated calf raises, leg curls, etc.

@@HomeGymHacksandReviews ah that's a good point, the Levergym includes a "free" leverage squat movement.
@@bmwofboganville456 I like having the band pegs too and I like being able to disconnect the bench. However, if I’m doing a flat press or a decline press, it’s on the Multipress.
Who makes the vest you sometimes use for plate pin loaded pushups?
Quick Play. I have a RUclips Short Mini Review for the vest and it’s linked in my Amazon Affiliate Store (RUclips Bio).
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Thanks! I ordered one with your link.
@@cetatlanta I really appreciate that. Thank you. I also show in Levergym Hacks 5 how I connected it to the lower pulley for dips.

$135 dollar? you got taken for a ride.
I don’t feel that way. To perform curls without pain has made this some of the best money I’ve spent in a long time.
You never get taken fir a ride buying cable attachments. Cable attachments are basically small new machines. Every attachment feels different and is like an new machine. Best way to add to your home gym if you have little space.
@@apcfitness I have to agree. With all the added versatility, it does seem like a got a few new machines for the price of a cable attachment.
That's how I feel about my Mag grips, absolutely love the way they feel...and I too am dealing with golfers elbow right now which was from a back and biceps day which probably could have been avoided if I had them prior to this injury. Looking forward to getting back to 100%
