I love standard posts for plate storage. Its easier to get plates on and off.
I’ve heard that from a few people. I have mentioned this before but didn’t include it in this video, one of the reasons Powertec has standard posts is because they sell one inch weight horn adapters so their machines can be used with standard plates.
i purchase my powetec because of your videos, i recently purchased the latest leg press adaptor. Thanks for all your videos.
Thanks so much. I really appreciate it.
I was going to sell my leverage gym. Then I binge watched your videos over the last two days and told 4 buyers that I decided to keep it. I had no idea I coud do so much with this thing. I had FUN working out on it today. Thank you so much for these videos.
That is awesome to hear. Thank you so much.
Love the versatility of this machine as well as your creativity!
Thank you!
Great hacks! Glad I found your site!
@@gerry742 thank you. I appreciate it.
Hacks Gone Wild!!! Good job. You have sure learned how to utilize your gym equipment over the years.
lol! Thanks, BBD!
Again ..... Excellent video. I just learned quite a few great ideas here and your shorts when I get my Multipress. Grandson is a welder and will modify the Multipress so that I can easily remove the bench to do various exercises and the Hacks. Will proceed with caution ... lol! Thank you!
@@johnsfamilychannel6454 I really appreciate it. Thank you.
Man you’re crafty! Awesome vid !!! I need to step my game up with my multipress bench
Thank you, GGH!
Awesome video 👍I really like the seated calf raises on the lever gym, I can get an awesome burn in my calves.
I've used squat blocks to make a pendulum, tried that one as well, but I need more weights for the machine - it slid a little and I got worried, so I'm back to standard squats with it.
Two things I'm liking right now, is reverse your squat blocks for a super stretch on standing calf raises with the squat bar, and another is using 2 D handles, the upper cable, and the bench set upright and attached , for support, and doing a kind of supported face pull. It's really probably more of a row at that point, just really high
Thank you and really good hear those exercises are working well for you.
Man I was looking for this last night because I saw you mention it on Instagram. Great video!
Thanks so much!
Awesome video! I love the hacks, especially the pendulum squat hack!
Have you ever had to replace any cables or pulleys on your Powertec?
@@farihaahmed9160 thanks so much. I have not had to replace the cables or pulleys.
As always, great videos. Keep em coming.
Really appreciate it.
Hey that 7inch bolt for the pulley is a fantastic idea. I also wish powertec had an attachment for a lat pulldown that is leverage based and not cable based. One that could be isolateral but I’m sure the design would have to be reengineered…maybe.
@@jasonm.9776 thanks so much. Their Multisystem has a lever pulldown, but that’s it. Most of the time, I like cables better for pulldowns.
Love your content!!!
Thank you!
If I had my small space, Powertec would be on the top with how versatile it is and what you can do. Great hacks!
Very true and thanks so much!
Great video dude, as always 💪🏻
Thank you, PPHG!
Well, if I had one, I would do these.
Great video
Greatly appreciated.
These are always my favorite for my leverage gym.
Really appreciate that. Thanks so much.
You made a good point to me that Powertec is a company who produces exercise machines along the lines with Atlantis, Hammer Strength, etc. where as REP, Rogue, Titan are companies which produce mainly weightlifting accessories such as barbells, weight plates, dumbbells, racks etc. so it's near impossible to compare Powertec to such companies as they differ in their production lineups. I never looked at it like that until you pointed it out to me.
Good advice for people to know before they make their purchases!!!!
Before it’s all said and done with, I’m gonna make you a Powertec fan. 🤓
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews
I believe you just might
I'll be trying the reverse bench press. As you say. it feels more like a decline due to the angle of the press! I also have a vertical leg press hack. I have two pieces of board bolted together. The lower piece is longer than the "handle so can take the leg pressing on it. Then the other board sits in-between the handles as extra "grip" and are then strapped around the handles.
Hard to explain, but its been very effective!
I hope it works well for you. That Leg Press hack sounds cool.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Just done the reverse bench press hack. 100 percent a better way. Thanks
@@stevesairsoft3457 great to hear it worked well for you. Thanks so much.
Learn a lot with your video !
Do you think it’s possible to « reverse » the front of the bench (the Arc stand) to gain some space ?
@@AxoO69120 thank you. The bench will lose some of its stability if you do that.
Awesome video and love the hacks! I am putting the longer bolt in through the pulling so I can rest the arms on them when not in use. What did you use in between the machine and plastic spacer? I can’t tell exactly what that is in the video
@@DennisW-m5x thank you! I used some old hard plastic jump rope handles and some black caps that unfortunately I don’t know what they are or where they’re from (they were just in my toolbox and happened to work perfectly).
The grizzly cuffs to do abdominals. Good idea.
Thanks so much.
thank you for all your tipps and guides in this and in the other videos. I just have found your channel and I love it ❤. Kind regards from germany
I really appreciate that. Thanks so much!
Another awesome video I really like watching your vids. Have you ever tried the powertec compact gym I would really like to hear your thoughts on it.
I really appreciate that. Thank you!
The Multisystem? It’s a combination of the Multipress (which I love), The Lever Squat (which I like a lot and I would like even more if I could load my spine heavier), and a lever pulldown (which I haven’t used but I’ve heard pretty good things about). I definitely think it’s a quality piece of equipment and I’d be glad to have it.
thanks for sharing your top ten HGHR. Your offerings are informative and useful as always!
The video has also jogged my memory about the bolt hack for the levergym to keep the arms up higher and out of the way.
I only forgot because I have been using the centre bar on the Multisystem lat station for machine facing close grip palms up lat pulldowns for a good while now, as I have not yet suffered a plateau from them.
i do however find it tight for clearance on the levergym when preforming lat pulldowns with longer bars, with the lever arms resting in the top position as standard. I also find the lever arms presence tight for leg clearance when they are resting on any lower position during any seated pulldown, so I will find the extended bolt hack option of great value when i come around to needing it.
If you would be so kind, can you please tell me the bolt size and length again here so I can copy and paste the information, and also the casing that works for this mod as I do want to get around to sorting out this hack before the day comes where I will appreciate the hack being in place.
Once again I hope powertec are making note from these small but big hacks to improve future lines as standard.
Cheers mate.
Thanks so much, JP. 7” x 3/8” it is a partial thread bolt so the pulley wheel revolves around it more smoothly.
I used jump rope handles as spacers and the two pieces on the end are something I found in my toolbox and unfortunately, I don’t know what they are.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Thanks for getting back to me on this buddy, I appreciate it. As it happens, I have this week off from work so I will acquire the size of partial thread bolt, take another look at the video and try to work out the rest having the time to do so.
Top hack is that. Thanks again!
@@johnpain8380 glad to help. I also show this in a RUclips Short called, Powertec Levergym Lever Arms Storage Hack if you need to see another angle or two.
Hello, I'm deciding between POWERTEC or a machine
Smith free weight with cable ?Thanks for the videos 🙏🙏
Thanks so much. I have an older video called, “The Ironmaster IM 2000 vs The Powertec Levergym.” That video may be helpful.
The way u used the low pulley to add resistance for dips, have u thought of any way to possibly use the high pulley to reduce bodyweight similar to a dip assist machine for people who cant do many dips with there bodyweight?
@@equalizer2233 I haven’t tried anything like that using the high pulley, but a strength band looped around the lever arms is a pretty decent option to offer some assistance to the exercise.
I think if I took a dip belt + cable extender and connected it to the upper pulley at just the right length, I would be able to put one foot in the dip belt and perform the exercise.
All great hacks. WHy do they not include numbers on all there equipment? REP, Rogue and Titan have numbers on most of there stuff.
Thank you. My guess is to cut costs. My guess is Powertec will include numbered settings whenever their products get updated because I’ve brought it up a few times in these videos, in emails, and in person.
Great video! Can you do one for the multipress machine as well? I'm sure some of the hacks can be done on both. Thanks!
Thank you. I almost made a hack video for the Multipress but ended up just showing a few things in a RUclips Short. I may end up making one at some point, but you’re exactly right, there is a lot of carryover.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Thanks, I'll look for the short.
@@Bomber6215 it’s called, Powertec Multipress Update.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Thanks again!
Have you ever thought of swapping out the nylon pulleys for aluminum ones?
@@tedhammond4578 not really. It’s already pretty smooth. Also, if the aluminum wheels shorten the life of the cables, it’s not worth it to me.
I really like how you added a set of wheels to the accessory rack. Did you have to do any special modifications to the frame?
Thanks so much. The newer models have threaded feet; luckily, I was able to simply remove the feet and screw in the wheels, which I took off a piece of old furniture. I have a RUclips Short going into a little more detail called, “Powertec Workbench Accessory Storage Rack Hack.”
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Nice! Thank you, I'll have to check it out. I keep mine in the corner, but the idea of actually adding mobility now, changes the entire landscape of the garage. 👍💪
@@michaelb459 one of the best hacks / modifications I’ve made.
You would love widebodybench it’s so convient
It does look really cool.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews watch the chest press and pec fly video tell me this isn’t genius af i just bought there whole package
The footprint you can’t beat that you can use it as just a bench and out attachments away

@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I ask him to send you one to review it. He’s probably gonna say no but I ask anyway
Do you think the ROM plates could be bolted to the previous model of the levergym? The shape of the support post looks the same.
It would take someone who is pretty skilled to make that modification safe and as sturdy as the machine comes from the manufacturer.
I like the number 3 hack for your legs... I was wondering if a Titan/powertec/forceusa Fitness Leverage Squat Machine feels the same as your number 3 hack?
Thank you. It’s pretty close. I have an old RUclips Short where I compare this hack to the LeverSquat.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews thanks.
can you deadlift using the arms?
@@3rutu5 I don’t think it works well because the lever arms are too short and their attachment site is too high. In my video, “My Favorite DIY Belt Squat,” I show how to balance this out a little by standing on plyo boxes, but it’s still not an exercise I recommend.
You are POWERTEC MAN
You know like Spiderman or Batman
I still dont get your loyalty for so long to a company that IMO is not reciprocating.
Imagine your garage full of free stuff if you were REP man or Bells of Steel man
lol! Powertec is good to me. I’ve gotten a few pieces from them over the years. However, I mean this with all sincerity, I would rather have the Powertec equipment I do than a garage full of Rep, Bells, Titan, and Rogue.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews
To make that statement, you have a sentimental attraction to Powertec, something happened and you have convinced yourself Powertec is the best ever. Nothing wrong with that and IMO, they are just as good or better than Titan or BOS but they are not better than REP, just my opinion.
You push who you want and I'll keep enjoying your videos!!!!
@@bobbyhunt3009 Powertec’s product lineup is deeper than almost every company there is. For example, Powertec has 3 stand-alone leg machines, the leg press attachment, and a leg extension / leg curl attachment. Rep only has a belt squat attachment which isn’t very good.
I guess because I like machine-based training, I choose Powertec over the competitors.
I will admit, Rep has the new dumbbells, a deeper bar lineup, and more heavy duty racks, functional trainers, and benches.
I appreciate that, BH!
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews
Oh Yeah, I see what you're saying. Powertec does have a nice lineup of exercise machines and REP is a company based more on lifting accessories (barbells, benches, racks) instead of exercise machines.
Matter of fact REP has no machines outside of the functional trainers.
I am going to post a hack this week which will blow your miiiiindddddd!!
Sounds good!
Someone has read kelsos shrug book 😄👍
I haven’t had a chance to read the book, but I’ve found the Kelso Shrug to be a great alternative to traditional shrugs and less likely to aggravate the neck.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews the beauty of a homegym is making things work, on my megatec multipress alone i do hacks for chest delt bic tric back even neck ext with a harness
