Something interesting that I've noticed about this fight is that it doesn't use KR. Which only enforces the idea that this is PAPYRUS you're fighting against, not Sans. Sure, he is underswap papyrus, but it's a papyrus none the less.
@@tealover2871 He pretended to be asleep to be honest (Sans probably did too), and in the end he chooses to believe in you, something ONLY Papyrus would do. So this Papyrus isn't that similar to "Sans" (And probably the Sans of this universe shouldn't be that similar to "Papyrus" either).

Sans literally just trolls You, and makes fun of you during the game over screen. Not only that, but Papyrus didn't even try to defend himself from the attack, showing that he was in fact blindly believing that the human would do "the right thing"
