Let us celebrate our natural hair. It is a God-given crown. Thank you little sister for your video. I use African Black soap melted in hot water instead of harsh chemical shampoos. ❤You look marvelous!
Thank you for posting and contributing to keeping the natural hair community alive. This really helps with representation and I hope we migrate back to posting content like this more regularly like we used to. Sending love from Florida, USA.
Thanks for the beautiful instructions, however it's clear that your hair is mix, growing long hair is not only how you treat them, but heredity have a great part to play.
This is so lovely! You've done an amazing job! I'm Kenyan too and I've been trying to grow out my hair. Unfortunately I haven't been very consistent with my routine over the years so I've only retained little length, but my hair is still longer than it has ever been my whole life. Since I was able to retain the little length I could, I'm inspired to treat my hair well and retain even more length.
2:28…. From my experience, detangling hair while it is damp or wet often lead to breakage and when all the water evaporated from the hair my hair was actually more tangled and dry. I’ve found the best practice is to detangle your hair while it is dry. Only using your fingers and oil. (No combs and no brushes). By putting oil on dry hair, it gives it more and will not only loosen the hair but it will soften it.
@@Receipt1705 I understand what you’re saying, but have you ever used oil and only your fingers to detangle you’re hair when it’s dry?? I would never recommend detangling dry hair with a comb or without an oil.
@@BeUr_Best do what works for you. But I’m putting suggestions out there for other people who are the same as me. I have what you would call 4C hair. And using my fingers (only) with oil on dry hair detangle’s my hair just fine. Again, if it don’t apply, let it fly. These are suggestions for people who find themselves in the same scenario I’m in. Detangling wet or damp hair does not work for everyone. It has done more harm than good for me. But it’s good to know it works for you.
@@champagnegold8614I use to detangle my hair when it's dry with oil and fingers too. For me it works better on my fine 4A/4B hair. But most people detangle on wet hair.
Just as I’m starting my natural hair journey after having my approx 2 inch past shoulder length hair cut badly by a hair stylist and I see a video with a Kenyan lady!! I’m Kenyan American. Feel like this is a good sign 😂❤
1. Wash your hair in sections 2. Detangle your hair while it's still wet/damp 3. Moisturise regularly (pay attention to the ends) 4. Protective styles (low manipulation) 5. Use less heat (always use a heat protector) 6. Only trim when necessary 7. Apply protein treatments (in moderation - balance protein with moisture to avoid it becoming dry) 8. Deep Condition during every wash day 9. Keep your scalp clean 10. Create a Routine (consistency is key for optimal results). bonus: Ayurvedic powders
I call it the elastic hair. Lol. Never seen so much stretchy hair in my life, with seeing a few visions recently. I have long hair at my hips and not from stretching and it can’t stretch beyond. Lol. I like the stretchy hair though. Beautiful 🎉

If you care for the hair properly, it grows. Each person’s hair is different, so it’s best for each person to learn about their own hair and what it likes/need.
I like your dimples you have some beautiful skin. You have some beautiful hair also ❤My mama got dimples too.❤thanks for the info on growing your hair out
Look how you’re pulling your ends. If you had a trim, it wouldn’t be that way. You don’t have to trim every month but you can trim it every six months to avoid split ends.
Do you have 4c hair? I always comb my hair with my fingers.....it works for me...i love doing it.i moisterise my hair with water and oil xi do single platts for my protect my hair i wear my wigs becouse its winter in the uk....love what my hair is becomming...love your hair x

If I detangle my hair while it’s dry it breaks.

Not everyone is the same, nor hair texture. My hair is 4b. It breaks if I detangle when it’s dry. When it’s moist, there’s hardly any.
