Hi, Lauren. I first ran into your music maybe five years ago, and bought a couple of your CDs. Since then, I lost my job, was living in my car for a while, had a few short-term jobs, am now involuntarily retired.
To keep myself mostly occupied, I'm writing a couple of (probably never-to-be-published) novels, with subplots you might relate to - how to make education relevant and dealing with teachers and school administrators (and police) do the jobs they should.
I've also been spending way too much time on RUclips, watching music, music reviews, depressing news, and great vlogs and podcasts. I now know too much about Old Norse, among other things.
I'm excited to see you launching yourself into the vlogosphere!

Hey Lauren, it's David, from Donostia (Basque Country/Spain) but currently living in Barcelona. I discovered you cause we both share our love for punk rock and Brody Dalle, and when I saw your version of Drain the blood your voice and style blew my mind.
In these days of modern music with no guitars and auto-tuning it's so great to see that punk rock is still alive and that it inspires talented people like you to create new songs and scream to society that there are still a lot of things to complain about.
Talking a little about me, I've always loved music, the first cd I bought in my life was Americana by The Offspring when I was around 14 and that opened my mind to rock music. Before that I only knew my parents old cassettes of "folk" spanish music.
When I grew up a little more I started to learn to play guitar on my own and dreaming to be part of a punk rock band someday, I started learning songs from nirvana, metallica, distillers, nofx, no use for a name and many more.
That dream came true when I met some friends in my hometown that wanted form a band to make some noise, it wasn't anything really professional but we had a lot of fun during those times.
Not long after that the relationship I had with the one I thought that would be the "girl of my life" ended not so nicely. This led me to the first complete song I wrote in my life, the lyrics are saw (sad and raw) and the people that have heard it kind of get the same feeling when they listen to it.
So when I moved to Barcelona I decided I wanted to share the songs I created with the people willing to hear them. But I have something inside that just doesn't let me perform the songs in public as good as I know I could, I believe it could be lack of self esteem or stage fright somehow. Like I need to know that people listening are liking it so I can be more confident and sing and play as good as I can.
I still have that feeling when I go out to a park and start singing and there's someone near that I don't know of. I know that if I could face that feeling it would improve my performances a lot, but it's kind of hard to get rid of that, I've worked to change it, but I guess it's just part of who I am, and it just sucks xD
About social media, I wanted to share here a documentary I saw on netflix a couple of days ago that explains the dark side of social media, how social media does to control us, it's called The Social Dilemma.
It's conforting to see that an ARTIST in uppercase like you has the same concerns and fears than a regular person, or at least like me. I felt really confortable watching this video, almost felt like we were good old friends happy about having a conversation after a long time.

we started the quarantine, I started a band with my boyfriend and another friend, with whom we were super motivated. Every day for 3-4 weeks we went to our rehearsal room to record every day (because my boyfriend knows how to record). I
came out of high school and went straight there until 22 or something like that, and then ,suddenly, coronavirus happend, and we were 3 months unable to leave home. Now we are working on a disk, we have demos of it and we're about to record it well, but im so busy with the institute and i dont have so much time. The world seems to hate me haha. You motivate me and give me hope hahaha! I love your music and i really think you are one of the best musicians nowadays ☺.

Hi Lauren, I finished university this year so I can officially call myself an engineer now, I guess. The past years felt very stressful to me, to the point that now I have zero motivation left to actually search for a job or do anything useful other than small tinkering projects (preparing gifts for christmas etc). Feels like university took all joy away from me and replaced it with doubt and anxiety. I don't even know if I want to work in this field anymore. Now that was a cheerful introduction! :)
My dream was/is to work in the space industry so that at some point I would be able to point at a small light in the sky and say: "You see that? I made a small part of that and I am the one who knows exactly how it works and what it does." That to me sounds like the absolutely coolest thing ever. :D
I like your music and your style. It is fun and colorful compared to what I normally listen to and I very much appreciate that. Wonder whether I'll ever see you together with Sumo Cyco. ^^
Doubt and anxiety is the worst!!! So many people will relate to that feeling, many feel it straight after they leave school.. a feeling of 'what now'? Don't worry yourself too much and give it time, life has funny ways of guiding us down different paths.. maybe life is telling you to wait before you take a leap into a job as there's something around the corner. Who knows? Just sending you love anyway, the space industry sounds cool as hell!

Just like you do across social media, you speak with heart, clarity, passion and the heart applies to how you generally care about the listener and now viewer. It doesn't take a lot of time to show a little care but your attitude is exemplary. Has been for as long as I've been following you. I also like you have an understanding of the vlog-format. The focus is the talk and you do a wise thing by spicing up CERTAIN points with editing, zooms, filters. Some vlogs tend to do that endlessly and it gets tiring quickly. Hey Lauren, so great you're doing this now, you always seem committed in everything you do (i follow you in all your projects and i'm glad xd), even if its just for fun/vent it does some good when social media becomes a dark place sometimes. Anyway, i feel i can totally relate, i've been having a hard time to put myself together everyday since i'm conscious about it (specially when my family do needs me). I'm 22, almost 4 years on meds cause of agoraphobia+panic attacks and in between the only thing i can hope is to end school and start working, i wanna be able to function normally like anyone, not just pretend and hide the fear, the ugly parts of me. I know i'm a mess and for the longest i didn't wanna live just to depend on others, i think i'm only surviving at this point. I love to learn as much as i can so i take that... but well, overthinking is hell. Love you xx

I'm still in highschool and for as long as I can remember I've always wanted a sort of career in music. I've thought about audio engineering but honestly, making my own music appeals to me more. I've written a few songs but I usually loose motivation because half way through I usually realize that I would struggle to play in front of an audience because of my social anxiety.
Anyway - I'll keep working towards my goals and I'll figure out everything else along the way. So yeah, that's me 😹♥️

Just imagine how much more you'll find out if you keep watching yourself over and over. Me I want to be a martial arts legend and illustrator, if that happens I'll be shocked and amazed. Every passing day on this earth the human race gets on my nerves with it's selfishness, one of my worst traits is I'm prone to slightly getting into a negative mindset.
