I dont understand how you realizing you find a greater % of the human population sexable than you did before warrants breaking up a monogamous commitment you had. Just seems selfish. Obviously "explore" means "have sex". Seems very selfish, seems like a weak justification, and I'm gonna guess breaking up was a big fuckup on your end.

Thank you, Josh ❤️, for having the courage to tell your story 👍👏! I am sure that it will help many. It is never easy to live one's life truthfully, because of cultural conditioning as well as societal and familial expectations. The lives of many otherwise productive human beings are ruined because they have chosen to succumb to what others expect of them instead of being who they truly are. What tragedy! Everyone has only one life to live, and maximizing one's potential and happiness should be the overriding goal. We must support one another who are in a similar situation. I wish you the best in your personal journey. 🙏

I just found your channel and am seeing this after seeing newer videos, two years after the fact.
I don’t really know you, but now, two years after this video, you seem so much more relaxed and comfortable in your skin.
We get so many labels and roles pushed upon us, and freeing ourselves from them is such a revelation. I remember during the time I was about to come out, I became hyperaware of how much I confined my behavior based on fears about what someone else would think of me. Even something as simple as wearing a flower on my coat. “My God,“ I thought, “I’m stressing about whether to put a flower on my coat or not?!”
Having lived for about 14 years in a very traditional society, I saw there how clearly relationships and roles were almost scripted. In childhood and adolescent life were like a big dress rehearsal where you learned your roles, and then marriage was the play in which you acted out what you had learned, continued in your roles, and then you were done. In the west we fancy ourselves freer from those rolls, and we’ve definitely started shedding them, but we are far from done. I think more “obvious” gay and lesbian people maybe started dealing with that earlier, because they were already rejected from conventional roles to begin with. It was harder for people who could pass more easily as straight. But now we’re getting to the point where people who grew up and identified or maybe still identify as heterosexual, are also realizing that they are so much more than a role, or a collection of anatomy.
I love your use of “transitioning/transcending.“ I do think that spiritually, we are complete. By that I mean, we have all the qualities that our society tries to divide into “male“ and “female.“ Or “masculine“ vs “feminine.“ And I do think that, beyond the persecution of people who don’t fit easily into roles, a lot of the confusion and angst around gender is that, while we try to shed these restrictions, we still are insisting on defining ourselves according to a gender, or trying to come up with new classifications. It’s as if, on this continuum of gender and orientation and sex with infinite points along it, we are trying to come up with a name and classification for every possible point, and where lines drawn between them intersect. Where I think we need to be shedding that baggage.
If we are not careful, we can exchange one prison for another. We are already so much more than any either-or, and just as a person should be able to love the person they love without having a label slapped on them for it, we should also be free to think and move in this world through the jungle of “gender roles/characteristics” without being punished or label for it.

This made me emotional because I 100% relate. I started out thinking to myself how much more I prefer women to men, but, I also never felt like I was lesbian. Nor did the term bisexual fit me. It wasn’t until I was 24 (29 now) that I found the term Pansexual. I felt that suited me best. It was like coming out to myself all over again which was emotionally draining. Then I found the term Demisexual. Which means not limited to sex, but, to have no sexual desire unless a bond is formed. Which my husband said that was what suited me best. So then I started to express to him when we were dating: ‘I honestly don’t feel feminine all the time. Or masculine. I just feel like I am me.’ Which is when I learned of pronouns around January 2016. So I decided to say to some close friends and him: ‘I’ll respond to she. But. I feel as though I am me. So. You can say she. But. I’ll respond to she/they.’ Later in 2017, I found out about Shiva & Shakti where it explains that it’s a perfect balance of divine masculine and feminine, from that I learned of Advaita Vedanta, read: BE HERE NOW by Ram Dass and everything now has started to slowly fall into place for me. Sometimes? I still feel trapped and I feel it’s a never ending journey on learning what helps you expand outside the box of, ‘YOU WERE BORN - SO YOU MUST BE -.’ I appreciate you sharing this video so much. Thank you. We all need to heal and it’ll take a while but I know we will get there. Stay strong love.
PS: I remember commenting and tweeting to you long time ago on your account you shared with your brother that I appreciated you did Plant-Based food challenges and it was what made me look more into it and found Veganism. Since then? I made the transition over to align my feelings and actions. Life is journey and all we can do is just keep living it.

What you need is absolute truth. Something that never changes, is the same yesterday today and forever. That truth only comes from the God who created you. I don’t believe in conforming to someone’s confines of who we should all be. Serving a role that doesn’t come from our hearts leads to this suppression of us. I loved learning this about you. I was a huge Brothers Green fan during university, and I always felt like I identified with you a lot. I think I must have subconsciously seen some struggle within each of us. It's nice to see that you have investigated your mind and found solace in the truth. I myself am questioning autism at 30 years old, and it's brought me a lot of peace to see that my decades of "pretending" to get by aren't the result of a fault within me; merely misunderstanding. This is no fault in you, either. Best of luck and thank you!

I came out as gay on New Year's Day 2012, and my family and most of my friends have been incredibly understanding, and I'm grateful to them about it. I first realised I was gay in 2001, and I kept quiet about it out of fear that everyone would drop me, and I do regret not doing it earlier. But I have come to realise that I wasn't ready at the time.

I know this isn't going to get a lot of likes, but in the spirit of living in truth I think I should put this out there.
Joshua, the world will tell you a lot of things that aren't true. I've been a big fan of yours over the years. I enjoyed watching your early days because you had so much energy to try and help so many people. But I saw you trying to prove something to yourself. You started changing the way you cook, dress, even talked to the camera. I could sense frustration as I watched you trying to make changes but not seeing the differences you were hoping for. I watched when you got married and what your relationship was like. I believe every married couple eventually figures out that it's a challenge and not the fairy tale that was previously envisioned. Moving to Colorado hoping that it would fix something. Going to Peru. I'm going to say something that may not sound loving, but if I didn't love you like a brother then I wouldn't bother saying it at all: You can't fix your problems by running from them or throwing away the good things in your life. You've had success in so many areas but are so focused on trying different changes that you end up running from all the good in your life. The world will tell you that it's good to explore these things but but you will only end up sad and alone. The majority of people can't stand to be around their family, let alone work with them but you could pull it off. The majority of people couldn't talk into a camera, expressing their real emotions in such a captivating way and then post it for the world to see, but you can and do! To find love and make a life long commitment is easy to do, but to honor that commitment is extremely difficult and very rewarding. I don't doubt that you've gone through some trauma but hopefully you can see that your choices are continuing that trauma and you are not allowing yourself to be in the loving environment of a family where you can thrive, learn, and most importantly, heal.
Right now society is making it popular to experiment with this open idea of sex, both gender and orientation. I want to ask you though, if you were having thoughts about living as a homeless person and wanting to stop taking care of all personal hygiene, shake all personal responsibility and commitments, and just see how rewarding it was too experiment with all this new nomadic lifestyle, you wouldn't have all this support from the society that we are in. It sounds more like that person is going through some trauma and is needing some help, hope and a reality check before they make some decisions that will seriously alter the quality and length of their life. But since this fad is going on and so many people are feeling confused and are also in search of the secure feeling of stability, you are going to hear a lot of people encouraging you to continue down this road that leads to nowhere. There are others who feel the need to feel anything at all and turn to self mutilation, even lighting themselves on fire. Eventually they stop these things and search for the activities in life that bring balance, comfort and joy.
You are a lot of things: an inspiration, an example, a son, a brother, which means you are a boy, a cook, a musician, an artist, a human being, in all of its emotional glory and imperfection. The list is just scratching the surface, but hopefully you can recognize that these titles describe you, not define you. You don't have to hate them, run from them, or prove them. They came to you. You are sure to expand the list. You are going to continue to do great things in your future, if you want to.
If the kids teased you about being gay then that doesn't make you not straight. If you liked women's fashion then that doesn't make you not straight. I don't expect you to share every detail of what happened in your life, but from an outsider's perspective it seems to me that this is just the next line item on Josh's list of things he will regret giving up and will feel the need to prove to everyone that he is happier from having done.
This isn't meant to sounds condescending, although I know it's a little harsh. This isn't meant to sound like a lecture, although I know it is long. This isn't meant to sounds like a judgemental critic either, although it did take analysis of your life and the relatively small small part of the story that is revealed to your audience. It's meant to hopefully give you some perspective from a man who has watched a lot of your content and agrees with much of it but respectfully disagrees with a fair portion of it as well. Sometimes we need to hear it from someone who is distanced enough but still cares. I don't know if you'll even read this, or if it is enough to inspire a desire to start discerning the difference between proactive change and running from a problem. On your quest to find truth you've ended up doing things have hurt yourself and those who love you the most and something has kept you from having this fact. You could read this and justify yourself or put up excuses as to why you've made certain decisions. It's unproductive. You already know what you've done and seen the fruits.
Here's to wishing that you will enjoy life, and spoiler alert, the only way to really do it is by loving and serving the people you meet. Facing the problems head on instead of running. Shed the things that are not part of you and reclaim all that is!

I sense some homophobic vibes, if you were a true fan let alone a decent person you would feel happy for him! brothers green was a small part of his journey in life and he’s now becoming someone he needs to be and deep down has always been, I’m beyond proud of him for coming out to his supporters and opening up the way he has cause it’s not easy talking about childhood trauma. I wish him the best.

Been watching you since your RUclips show with your brother. Wow, how much you’ve grown! I struggled with this as well, and with being gender fluid. I very much feel fluid in all ways of my body and soul, and labeling is just a tiring process I don’t care about anymore. I love everyone and everything with my whole being, and that’s what matters. Seeing you be this way is so wonderful. I check back on you and your brother now and again every few years and the growth you both have done is wonderful. Here’s to you, Josh. You’re special in every way, and I hope you feel all of my love and kindness through the computer hahaha.

Love it! I’ve always thought “human” is the most appropriate way of labeling everyone. if you want to understand more about a person, get to know them. Man, woman, gay, straight, NB, trans, BI, are all labels that have an array of stereotypes attached to them. To understand someone learn about what they like and what they value, ascriptions of labels Isn’t productive. best of luck to you Yoshua!!!!

This really resonated with me, because I was always kind of the same way. Though, being female, I don't think it was quite such a big issue for me. It is kind of more accepted for girls to be androgynous than boys. Still, when I was a kid, I basically gave zero fucks about "boy stuff" vs. "girl stuff." I loved running around outside, making poop jokes and climbing trees, but also playing with dolls and makeup and other girly stuff. I had a buzz cut for a little while, but also had no problem wearing frilly dresses.
But as I got older, society's expectations started to seep into my brain along with the idea that I needed to "fit in." So I started to subconsciously tone down my "masculine" side. I think I had a much healthier attitude when I was a kid, lol. There have been times when I wondered if I was trans, just because I was overthinking everything. But I've found that if I don't overthink, if I just let myself be myself without agonizing over what category it puts me into, it doesn't really bother me. I'm fine with my body and mostly fine with being a "woman." It just doesn't fit me (or probably anyone, honestly) 100%.
And I agree that we probably will live in a more or less post-gender world someday. Gender is kind of an antiquated concept. There is going to be (and already is) some backlash, of course, because the ideas of "masculine" and "feminine" are such a huge part of our culture, and a lot of people build their whole identities and worldviews around them, so there's a lot of fear there. But that's the problem. We put so much weight into these labels that we end up trying to change people to fit the system, when really we should be doing the opposite. People don't fit into neat little boxes, even if some come closer than others.

I just watched an old video from "Brothers green eats" with you and your brother and the first thought i had seeing you was "omg i hadn't realized they're non binary!"
I always felt safe and comfortable with the kind of person you presented as since way back when i watched you and your brother everyday c. 2015
You inspired me way more than i had ever realized since just now, and i saw a lot of myself and who i wanted to become in you
I've been thinking about your old videos on and off for years but even more so recently (~yk how time itself resonates within the human mind, right? Thoughts, emotions, events, all repeating at a complex/compound sine wave like a thread that links every subjective manifestation of them as if there were only one, as if every apple you think about in a specific context/mindset/state is the exact same apple, as if there's wormholes linking them as if by pinching spacetime itself, but instead of actual gravitationally based wormholes, it's entanglement and complexity(alright.. now it got to an incomprehensible level, to get it there's Sapolsky's lecture on complexity and susskind/maldacena's ER=EPR theory of quantum gravity) , information, entropy, energy states/types/flavors/essence/semiotic significant/metaphysical properties of matter and their behavior on a complexily dense region of spacetime, like the human brain, the collection of our brains as a barely-if-at-all-conscious superorganism and every other layer of sufficiently complex systems from chemistry to cells to the cosmos~) and anyway, i was probably just gravitating towards this so needed moment, to be proud of your being and grateful for what it's done to impact, influence and inspire mine.
It's great to find you again and see that i was blessed to see you expressing yourself since way back then and that it allowed me more freedom to be and find out who i am and how i think of my being in human dialectics.
I came out as enby to my family exactly 6mo ago
If i hadn't grown up seeing beings like you id probably still be suffering and struggling to fit in by trying to squeeze myself into the masculine cisheteronormative gender concept
Thank you so much for being yourself ❤
May the universe be kind to you and bring much joy and prosperity for your soul, the ones you love and everyone else we live with in this blue marble.
Remember that language is just fables we invented to pretend like we understand anything and that reality is far more complex than the human mind could've ever even dream of processing.
Words aren't truths, the truth is unspeakable, it's the air we breathe. not what we think or who we think we are, but who we simply _aire_ just by being breathing per se.
Words are lies, everything we named has been by such action artificially condensed into an extreme simplification that couldn't ever contain even a speck of the vastness of the truth behind such concepts.
Genders don't exist, people are just people no matter what we call them or the categories we put them into. they're just delusions of the human ego that become ideological prisions if you(and we as humanity itself as a whole) actually believe in them.
Don't limit yourself, you're just too infinite to be reduced down to such smallness and offensive simplicity.
Love you and your soul ❤

I also came on youtube today looking for someone nb to follow, specially i wanted to see them cooking, like a full day of eating vlog or something related to both somehow
I'm glad i found exactly what i didn't know exactly i was looking for
Again, it's like this video screamed at me so I'd come here to fulfill this moment in time
And yeah, i also realize that the yt algorithm(after years of many many hours a day being used and trained by me) has reached a level of complexity wherein it acts as an extension of my own brain and sometimes knows more about what I'm seeking than myself even, but i accept it and take it in as part of myself, as another layer, like the knowledge we ourselves gather throughout life, that isn't us but still shapes us and guides us.
But that's just as much part of the universe as anything else, so it doesn't actually matter but it does help quite a bit.
Also 3days short of a month that I've parted ways with a SO friend bc she couldn't respect my mental struggles w/ mainly autism("-like symptoms") and too many other psychiatric disorders that i suffer from and got blamed and shamed for by her; and my gender identity, to the point where she said "if you really insist that i don't call you a man.. (more like scream it in blatant transphobia as if to purposefully hurt me).. I'd rather never call you at all ever again"
I wasn't even asking that she used gender neutral pronouns to make me feel gender euphoria, just that she didn't purposefully label me as a man(always emphasizing it loudly) knowing that that's not how i want to be thought of and perceived as by myself and others.
Also did ayahuasca yesterday and she was also there too and i thanked her for the enormous love and goodness that she brought into my life, all she taught me and all she will forever represent in my life and that'll love her eternally, and asked forgiveness for all I've done as well. And that was it. I hope she has a happy life and grows to be a better person for others as much as she is, ever increasingly, for herself.
Maybe she'd be welcomed back somehow and carefully if she eventually overgrows her psychophobia and transphobia, but until such improbability is actually fulfilled i just thank her for allowing me to learn to prioritize my own well-being instead of humiliating myself for approval of someone that never really respected me.
Can't believe how much better i am now, how much I've grown bc of everything that happened..
I've never been prouder of myself
Still working on the extremely verbous oversharing habit, but it helps me think slowly and more clearly, to structure my thoughts and reflect upon my feelings and i still have a few more months of growth and character development to be until i can fully blossom into my true and matured self, so I'll allow myself to continue doing it unapologetically until I'm able to let it go.

You can never find truth inside my friend. Truth comes from only one source. I see someone searching, like all of us, but lost as well.
