Been waiting for a new episode for what feels like weeks. Glad to see its back 🎉🎉
Omg the layers!!! 🎉 In love with this cute fishing habor! The vanilla detailing surprises from FC are incredible! Can't wait for the next one! ❤
Ooo the use of the parklife tile on the cliff side looks like a reasonable stand-in for riprap!
Always nice to see a new FC or OE video because these are so relaxing to watch after a day of driving my bus in Brussels
never thought to use the tiles as retaining wall! SUCH a good idea!!
Thanks for that idea with the tiling on the cliffside...and I think it should work for consoles...
FewC this is so beautiful and it's Vanilla!!! How you detailed the retaining walls was an amazing surprise. I was just thinking to myself "she'll end leaking some water and adding quays" but no, you did your magic ❤ Can't wait to see how you introduce trains in the build (what a surprise coming from me, right? 😂😂)
Ooo yes can’t wait for trains either!! 😄
Once again I'm gobsmacked! FC, you truly shine in detailing your builds; I never would have thought to use a pathway as you did. Bravo!
Aww thank you Jason!
The tile retaining walls are the best vanilla retaining walls I’ve seen. I’m an anarchist who generally uses quays as retaining walls but I’ll have to try the tile trick sometime.
Amazing idea with those decals, it does look almost like a proper quay. Great build and looking forward to an oil-importing industry build from you in vanilla now.
Love how you use all the industries. Love, too, that there is a restaurant in the commercial zone on the lower left area -a perfect place to have a seafood dinner! When I was young there was a real fishing harbor that we would visit (Noyo Harbor, Ft Bragg) and it had a road like this that you took down to the gorge where the harbor was. Love the new retaining walls, too.
I have such a weak spot for vanilla. And this is some spot on stuff! Love the use of these tiles. So creative and it fits in perfect. I'm remembering that for if i need it someday, lol.
Great video FewC! Like it!
ooh the layered city on the coast reminds me of Salvador da Bahia, Brasil. the Elevador Lacerda is a public pedestrian elevator that peds can pay to use to get from the lower city to the upper city plaza. something like that could work and add a fun form of transit and a point of interest
Thoroughly enjoyed that! The layers really make all the difference. Once you expand to a new tile perhaps a ferry depot to round off that fishing/industrial vibe?
Definitely need a ferry stop and depot, thinking in the town we’ll do extending out to the right of the harbour!
This reminds me what an absolute horror working with the terrain in vanilla CS was like LOL Learned a lot watching this! It came out looking great.
I love how it all comes together and looks amazing at the end. Loving the vanilla series.
Didn't know you could draw fishing routes outside of owned tiles... That's a game changer on some maps.
To get less sharp slopes for roads, you could have used some mountainside "road pins" going back and forth like a set of stairs between the layers, or ultimately made a longer ramp on the whole length to make it longer and smoother. With some more work with the terrain and water, using retaining walls is even possible even if cumbersome in vanilla. And now that you can chose the zonable configuration on each side of the roads, you can cope with mountainside layers a little more smoothly than just drawing fences everywhere you don't want zoning.
If I were you I'd use the offseting of the road beside the warehouses as an access point to a ramp going on the layer just over them instead of a ped path. Peds aren't wandering in industrial areas that much although combined with the bus line it makes some sense.
There is also a lack of access on the left of the area. Having two highway accesses could be good.
A ponerme al día! Llevo más de un mes sin ver sus videos, temas de trabajo por fuera de mi ciudad… Excelente como siempre!…
I did not know you could use those tiles on slopes like that. So good. I love the fishing industry, it always looks great but most CS creators just use it for aesthetics, not to actually make money.
It’s because of you I have cities skylines now. I’ve saved so much money through your link, and I’ll be buying a few more today. I’m hoping to eventually get them all. :) my hubby tried to get me to get this game for years. Watching your gameplay made me get it. Haha it’s confusing to play, but watching gameplay and making heaps of saves to figure it out helps. Haha thank you! :)
Thank you! And thanks for using my link, a big help in supporting the channel, glad you’re enjoying the content and finding it helpful!
Love the use of the tiles on the steep terrain! It turned out really well!
Amazing use of the limited vanilla resources well done!
Can’t wait to have that embanked rail in the background to this build
Beautiful build again, as always, by the queen of detailing. I'm not a fan of the rock facade on bankings though. They look weird from the reverse angle. Something I hope CO fixes for CS2.
Ive been loving these series. Havent played CS in a while but might get back into it before the new one. Thanks for your videos
Thank you for watching! A great time to get back into it 😄
The fishing harbour has turned out great. The layers really work.
Next I'm wondering if it's worth starting on a transport hub? With set areas set aside for later unlocked assets.
Thank you! Yes as soon as we have trains we'll be right onto that and wider transport planning 😃
@@fewcandy Cool. I think that's your next milestone if I remember correctly. Aside from your obvious skill at presentation I do like that you think out the transport connections.
My first comment I think, but just have to say, that honestly, this, for me, might be the most impressive build yet. Before the timelapse i could not imagine this turning out so great. The different textures for the different layers of retaining walls work really well.
Thank you! Yes my builds are often ones you have to stick with as they all come together at the end 😅 glad you enjoyed it, appreciate the comment!
Love this channel. One of my favourites.
Just discovered your channel and love it 👍 great work, makes so much fun to watch
Thank you! And welcome to the channel! 😄
Can't wait for the next one. Keep up the amazing work!
very nicely done this fisher area, nice city too ,great job,i follow you now ,interesting how you build cities .👍👍👍👍👍👍
Lovely build Few. Layering is great!
I really like the layered coast build, especially the varied retaining walls. I would suggest at least making the lanes on the ring-road's half intersection one-way so you don't have cars making overly sharp turns onto a high speed road or having them come in closer to a 90* angle
I like the build, it looks really good
Love your builds! Thank you!
I love the stone you used on the hill. Is that on the workshop?
Next to cake, this my favourite layered thing ever .
Haha thank you so much!
You: select the park tile
Me: Why? I don't think this will make a matching floor.... Wait... what... to cover the cliff?!? - That's ingenious.
Thanks for new surprises in a game I thought I knew all about.
Just wondering: You turned off the seafood factory (to save costs until you get your oil industry running, I assume); any reason not to turn off the warehouses for plastics as well?
With the harbour naming rights gone, how about we name the Seafood Factory for when it opens up... Salmonilla Foods. Got a nice ring to it 😂
Fun facts if you have that rusted to rain with the water use keyword cos it's time to smooth it out and the way cheaper
I would love to see more "Parking lot" in a District zoned Industry.bcoz its mostly missing from vanilla game.IRL the are everywhere. thus the parking lot come's in a building is insufficient!, there no rooms for cars for the workers in a district, thats only i want to see from ur content ❤.
In CS2, do you plan to use the cut and fill road feature to create terraced areas like this? Or would you prefer to continue detailing the cliff walls?
A transit hub in the town center would look very nice
Coming when we unlock trains!
So cool love it new to your channel and am following along this city build on Xbox console keep up the great work
Thank you! And welcome to the channel! 😃
Vanilla sure has come a long way since CS first came out. . . . Prop Line Tool...Zoning Adjuster...so much nicer.
Cool build, love it
Thank you!
Some parking parks would be great in between the offices and industrial buildings…
Amazing as always!😎👍
Recently witnessed the street light poking through the road in my latest build I solved it by just change the position of where the node starts but yep that’s a vanilla annoyance I’m coming to terms with
Wonderful 🎉
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think it's possible to head west (ie, make a left) from your fishing district unto your ring road highway.
Looks fantastic 👌
Thank you!
I love it ❤
Please do the Liberal Art College as the city's first university 🥺 Almost no one uses it in their let's plays and it's literally the best looking one ^_^
❤❤❤ another amazing ep
Another eps yay🎉
Brilliant
The guys in fish area need a food truck and lunch area or green space.
Will this work for ore too? The map I'm on doesn't have any.
Yes it will, works for any of the industry types!
Have u seen the cities skylines 2 screenshot leaks?
❤
how do you make it look so easy
Great ✨✨ 💎💪🏽😉
Could you do a how to build on city skyline
Do you do video where they aren’t speed up at the end? I like videos where it’s not at 5x speed 😊
Not many, I’m a detailer at heart and the videos would be far too long if I included live gameplay of all of the detailing! You can watch my live streams though which obviously aren’t sped up! 😄
How can I get these mods
Like what I have to get that option like Factory, Parks
What do you mean?! "Vanilla" means no mods are used.
If you're missing some assets then you need to check out the DLCs & CPPs (additional content).
@@carstenzimmermann4435 she have industry option and park option in same game how ?? In parklife u get only park option and in industry u get only industry option how did she managed to get those things in same game
@@akshitkumar365 If you have all DLCs, you can use them at the same time. I don't understand your doubts
Is this what a fish stair is? 🤔
No fish market?
Coming in the town we’ll do just up the coast from here!
Please, share the savegame! 🙏🙏🙏
They are shared with patreons every ep, but after 10 episodes will be available on steam to everyone!
can you build me a fishing area haha
