Dr. Lebowski I've never been a gsp fan but he is a great guy and great fighter and this humility is why. that's how you learn.. one tool in your toolbox at a time. this is a really enjoyable video
GSP!!! A great example of how people at the top act when others show them new things. Humble and listening and learning. This is why the elite are the elite and everyone else think they know it all and don't respect good advice from an expert. GREAT VIDEO!
I totally agree. If you haven't heard of it, look into the Dunning-Kruger Effect. It basically explains why people who know the least are often the most confident, while the experts are the most humble.
NOT one time arguing his thoughts or opinions. Just opening his mind and consuming. He's great from work ethics and listening skills you can tell easy here.

rogan would have done outstanding in mma however he believes that you should only fight as a career if its all you have where as he has comedy, commentary ect so he dosnt because of the physical ware and tear and brain trauma
What a humbling video. GSP is one of the best fighters and has such an arsenal already and here he is sweating bullets and learning techniques from Joe. This is true MMA. You will never know everything, and the beauty is the journey to try and learn everything.
He mentioned in a podcast that he couldn't keep up with both training and his comedy/commentary. He didn't feel right not being able to devote himself to students.
the most amazing thing I see is I've been watching joe for 30 (?) years now. I can't remember him ever bragging about his fighting ability, or much else, for that matter. And look at what he can do.
joe is a humble martial artist as how a true martial artist is. they never brag theyre good but they will spew out their knowledge and when its time they show the world what theyre capable of...thats what rogan is doing in the video...
Both are equally scary. I mean practicing 10k kicks a day teaches you each kicks, each possibilities weaknesses, strenghts and flaws making them not a stronger kicker but a stronger fighter
This is how true martial artists behave humble and respectful towards one another which benefits them to learn how to become better, no ego just positivity to learn and teach. A teacher is always a student and visa versa.

@@martyrmessiah3903 You set the kick up with a power jab right hand and then the kick unless your fast and can just kick someone before they can react and this takes timing balance and knowing how not to telegraph your attack or someone coming straight in. I just can't believe an MMA champion in Jorge Saint P was never taught the correct way to kick with power and to chamber the knee and proper balance and to pivot putting your hips into your kicks, this is strange, this means his trainer and master wasn't schooled correctly and wasn't legitimate and maybe had bad trainers themselves. I practice Chinese Gung Fu and know these basic techniques learned as a knew student when I was a kid and when you kick someone they are hurt and fly back hitting the ground and they walk away.

I also help train a 120kg world power breaking champion. When he landed that kick on a shield, he'd throw you 2m across the room.
Respect for joe but the question is : can he really land that kicks under pressure with the same power and technique? Because 90% of the fighters can't land blows with the same power and technique under pressure , like Bruce Lee said: boards cant fight back
