    Once again, I gotta be 'that guy'. :) Perhaps some will scold me, but I don't believe that we should count some of these results - e.g. +36 kg OAP, +161.5 chin-up, or the most recent extreme attempt by Smaev - as WRs. Notice how in the first case the athlete generates a huge amount of initial momentum by raising the weight up prior to the pulling itself; Mathew didn't do a similar trick with +32.5, since he had his weight attached to a belt. Smaev, on the other hand, didn't reach the bar with his chin (take a look at his reflection in a mirror) and doesn't start from a static hang. Don't get me wrong, these titans are obviously insanely strong and I firmly believe that solid reps with just a few kg less could've been achieved. But I also reckon that we should maintain high standards regarding what really counts. As an example, just take a look at what has been achieved in 2:40 - a new record with no massive form short-cuts. That's what we should aim for.
