Volume on the video way to low
Volumes fine either turn your volume up or maybe you have hearing problems

We originally found out about Dive bar through RUclips and very refreshing to find out when we meet you in Dive Bar you were exactly the same as on RUclips.

Big change of heart. Wasn't long ago you had the one over the road from the Dive on the go too.
Certainly the good times of been a Bar owner are over in Pattaya. Your drive past proved my point the bars are empty 20 years ago in Pattaya most bars you where lucky to get a seat. Watched many RUclips videos by diferent vlogers doing drive byes and walking the Sois Only on a rare occatoin have I seen a Bar full like the old, days. Let's be honest people never sell a buisness if it makes money. Allways enjoy your walk abouts in Pattaya my home for 12 years in the past when I first retired. Returned to self employment due to boredom myself, or I would of wasted away like I've witnessed many expats do in Pattaya. Keep up your own good interesting work making videos.
Yes, so many bars now, all giving it a go, some making money, most just hanging on. I will continue with more videos very soon

I stayed on Buakhao for six weeks recently and I was really shocked to see how quiet soi Chaiyapoon was, especially with all the new bars that had opened up...but then again most bars weren't very busy except for the old reliables
Yes, many bars are not busy now, but some are very busy. It’s interesting times
Glad you got ok , I owned a bar on soi 6 and I couldn’t even sell it for 500k baht. I ended up just giving the keys back to the owners.

Great video. I'm sure selling the dive bar wasn't an easy decision. But with all the stress from the vault , I can understand your decision. The Titty Twister was the name of the club in the vampire/ Bank robber movie Dusk to Dawn with George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino. I will be coming out for my first time in August. Definitely will check the dive bar

Hi Dean. I feel a bit sad about the Dive bar news... It is one of the first places I visited in Pattaya, and I was there many times after that, just on my own or with some bar crawl. I really liked the mood, girls and patrons. I had really good times there talking with other tourists, having drinks with the girls, and even beating Trevor at pool. :)
I will definitely miss those times. I hope the new management changes nothing. Take care, Dean.

That Pump Station is the original one. I first went in there 23 years ago. Sat at the upstairs bar drinking my beer and a Thai ladies head popped up between my legs. You all know the rest of the story.
And yes that did use to be Pizza Hut😎

Soi 13/1, I had a Bar there from 2001 - 2012 called Monkey Business which was next to the Playpen, think the Bar you meant was Office Girls

I rarely comment but wath alot in the past of most vlogging while in the 'lockdown' seems strange but never been there and yet saw too much that I could nearly walk around like a local
Never considered in the past but definitely see myself living in Thailand or the Philippines soon
I wouldn't consider trying to make a living there although i admire your success under difficult circumstances
I would only make the move with passive income

VIP bar on soi 13/2 you mentioned. Nice slate pool table and has first floor lounge with ST room, ensuite. I heard it's for sale.

Good question, I plan to change the name to Living the Pattaya Dream. I’m sure I can do that without loosing all the old vids and subscribers. I will announce new name on next vid. Hopefully see you when you are here in July

Good vlog as usual Dean. You have made the correct decision to get out of running a bar, it's a Mug's game. All you do is run yourself into the ground for peanuts. Have a great retirement keep up the Vlogs as I'm sure you will do well with that. N/B Sort out the sound on your Vlogs as this one was at best poor.

I went to the Dive bar on 29/04. What a deception. Nobody came say hello and after my drink, my tip was as they treated me of course. No wonder that the bar was for sale. But before I heard good comments, so that was the reason I went in.
So sorry you had a bad experience. That’s what make running a bar so hard, keeping the standards and service high all the time.

I think an ongoing series detailing how to get the most out of a Pattaya vacation would be great and has almost Infinet variations. You could do lengths of stay anywhere from 12hrs to 12 weeks. Tailor the videos to different budgets. As well as to different parts of town.
