Thanks for the recipe. I remember when I worked for an insurance company back east in the 70’s, a lady would make Easter eggs in different flavors and sell them. She would take orders from the people in the office. They were dipped in chocolate and tasted amazing. One of my favorites was the peanut butter egg.
I used to make this for my mama. I made my Easter eggs for my kids the same way adding coconut to the dough, forming into eggs, refrigerate the dough, then coat in melted chocolate. This brings back many, many memories. Thank you so much! 😊
I first heard of this from a sweet neighbor friend and she made it every year for her family. I thought ooh. Then I tried it and it was good. Now that she's gone, I make it every year, and people love it. 🥔❤
I’ve seen the recipe for potato candy but I don’t remember ever eating it. I love anything with peanut butter so I know I’d love it! Thanks for sharing this old-fashioned treat🎄❤⛄
My mom would make this for us when I was a child and it's nice to see you present it here for others who may or may not have tried it but soon might! A little bit of work but the reward is worth the effort! Thank you!
A great fast and easy sweet treat Catherine!😍 It looks like you could get creative with the filling!😋 My mom always made fudge, divinity, date loaf candy, pecan pralines and some other oldies all from scratch from her grandmother!😘 I can't say I've ever eaten potato candy. But it looks pretty good and I think there could be other flavors that would be good too!☺️ Can't wait to see the other treats for us to indulge in for the upcoming holidays!😚 I've loved all your recipes from past years of using cake mixes and Jello, things like that, giving us lots of great and easy ideas for especially Christmas treats!😁 Thanks for sharing another great recipe!🥰

Powdered sugar is no problem if you are using a Bosch Universal Plus stand mixer because there is a lid….works great to keep powdered sugar, flour and other powdered ingredients in the bowl.

My g'ma made potato candy just like that. I have also made it myself.
My grandma made these every year.
Skip the peanut butter, stir in flaked coconut, drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper, and once it sets up, dip in chocolate.
Sounds delicious ❤

Could I try some chocolate to the potato/sugar mixture? Thanks
I've never tried it, if you do let me know how it turns out.
