  • The Bellflowermews ring of six ceramic bells, have now been hung in their 4th location in Aylsham, Norfolk. They are hung above the Matthew Higby & Co ring of 8, The John of Gaunt Ring, and the six bell rope circle falls within the circle of the 8. Hanging was completed on Tuesday 5th September 2023, and later that evening, prior to a quarter peal on The John of Gaunt Ring, the bells were rung for the first time by members of the 'Society of Aylsham Campanile Youths'. In 2018 they were augmented to six and hung in Haywards Heath in Sussex. In 2021 the 2nd became cracked and was replaced with a spare bell, which is slightly sharper than the original, and they were hung in Aylsham, Norfolk.
The belfry audio sounds very different to what is heard in the ringing room. With the ceiling and insulation in the, the ringers cannot hear the double strikes and I was surprised to find our some did (mainly due to being left to go over the balance too far).
    6 bells, 3lb 5oz in F#. Ceramic bells.
