This was the second course - we settled very, very quickly. Some nice ringing and they are a lovely eight, albeit trickier than they should be with the clock wires and floor timbers. Enjoyed ringing today, thanks for asking - and Happy Rest Of Your Birthday!
Good striking, lovely bells, rung here a couple of times at the beginning of tours into Oxon. I agree with Simon, pity about the floor beams and clock wires which make ringing awkward, other than that they are real gems. Thanks for posting
Does it honestly get any better, a beautifully harmonically tuned classic pre war Taylor peal and beautiful ringing. I love thexwell definded open leads which are easy with a tenor behind to lead from but when the tenor is turned in more difficult.
Nice ringing 😊 Quite quiet in the ringing chamber compared to most places, but it seems to be the perfect volume. Most towers have ringing chambers where the bells are too loud for my tastes (or else excessively inaudible), these are just right. Reminiscent of volume in ringing chamber of Basford in Nottingham
@@danielbellringerLooking back you're right & I was talking nonsense, as my phone had decided to turn the volume down without me noticing 😅 They are indeed a tad loud
@@danielbellringer yeah 🤔 when I was your age, I couldn't ring inside like that impressive for major. Now I'm learning method well still learning it since late last year.

Thanks simonbellringer, happy to have rung a peal here!

I would they say they are fairly loud rather than quiet but certainly not deafening

@@RingerThomasAbergavenny are too quiet
