I have a7iii for over 4 years now.. its very solid camera and im making my first movie with it.. the stabilaton is not that great but i put cage , monitor and matte box so it will be much better handheld the way..
@@quantimun its more solid.. and dosent shske that much.. of course if you run eith it, it will.. the picture movement feels more natural.. and you will get better over all shots..

I get that this video is 9 months old. But it's still 2024 hehe. I still rock this camera. aF is just simply amazing still for 2024. I will say if you're about to buy this camera now, it's better to invest in a7-4 body in used market now that the price is pretty decent now.... Imo.
Auto focus would be better on the a6700 for sure - both would work fine though and do you want that full frame look? that's a big difference between the two

In some cases, if you're more in to video I'd say yeah. But if you need or want full frame, better viewfinder and dual sd card slots for redundant recording and are on a budget then the a7iii is better - $500 cheaper for me.

I got you. Tech moves fast but I guess not that fast. It was definitely cool to see how we don’t need 10 bit colour and the newest sensors to achieve amazing results. It’s all part of gear acquisition syndrome and being able to just be happy with the camera we have :)

It would make for a great travel camera and your lens is very important for low light quality so get a lens that is f 1.4 or f1.8 that will help with both low light photos and videos but if you have the money for the a7iv it’s even better in low light for video because of the dual native iso
I hope you accept my point of view I have never regretted anything in my professional life except that I moved to Sony Sony is a trash can Never throw your money away, don't even think about buying any Sony camera, and don't even watch any promotional video comparing it to other cameras, Sony is not a camera at all I am not here to promote a brand or to recommend a camera, I just advise you not to approach Sony camera products at all if you want to start properly. @MattyDCCollins i actually don't do anything that requires a "B Camera" the reason I bought it is because i take my camera on work trips to remote areas all over my state and I have to leave it in my car and otherwise unsecured situations, my A7RV with the lens I use it with is Luke a $6000 setup, the A7III with the lens I keep on it is like a $1500 setup
It's definitely a better camera but I had two issues when looking, 1 they hold their value a lot more on the used market because it's a newer camera but there's a lot of good used a7iii's as an existing Sony Shooter it works with my collection of lenses. But if you're starting from scratch with no lenses and don't like the idea of buying used, I would definitely go this route

personally I would take the a7iii if it's mainly photo :)
A7iii is the same price and way better. Dual slots an an evf that's much better

If you're looking to shoot in dark situations just get yourself a new lens :) one with a low aperture like 1.4 or 1.8 :) problem solved

I’d agree with you if you’re looking to get in to video but for photography I don’t think it’s fully necessary to spend the extra cash 💰

Hey EK, very different cameras. If you shoot mostly video and have the money, buy the Siii if you are on a budget the a7iii will be fine for video.

You would be totally fine with either :) just make sure you get a nice prime lens to go along with it maybe a nifty 50mm to start

I love my a7iv bro can't speak to the R5 as much but for hybrid work I LOVEEE the A7IV
the a99ii is a better option if you are on even a tighter budget and you own some Minolta lenses. It's basically an A7RIV on an Alpha body.
