@PylotGuy the camera is fantastic for photography. vlogging is a bit tricky without a flip out lcd. I’ve tried connecting to my phone for talking head footage and using the app to frame my shots. But then the face detect auto focus doesn’t work when it is connected to the phone. If you plan to vlog there are better options. If you’re taking pics or filming video other then yourself it’s a beast!
A7III can shoot uncompressed raw 10fps and A7IV can only do 6fps. A7III has better low light performance than A7IV. Anyway both are good.. A7III is just old beast that can beat some new cameras in low light performance.
During my research for my new camera, I was checking between APSC and Full-frame cameras, The A7III and A7IV are the best sellers on the market for videos and photos. I want the A7IV because of the 10bit and features but for a budget, I still recommend the A7III for beginners, the price, it has a good sensor, good image quality, and performs well in low light. I know it's limited with color grading for 8bit but I still believe you can push the color grading in Slog, HLG to the max or custom picture profile and make it similar to 10bit color and still make solid image quality video. "it's not the camera, it's the user that makes it" Right now I've finally got my Sony A6700 and I'm happy it has all my needs. The next camera will be Fullframe in the future and I keep my eyes on the Hybrid A7III, A7IV, Cinematic FX30 or FX3.
@Vansh_Bajpai sorry for the late response. So far, so good. I make a lot of pictures and small video footage. This camera is a beast for overheating. I don't have issues because I haven't recorded videos for a longer time, but I planned in the future. I bought the Ulanzi Fan 2.0 easy to use and cheap it definitely helps the overheating for extra record time. I haven't tested yet, but I'm prepared for the summers and new projects.
Of course nobody complains about wanting better resolution. At 24MP you've got a decent sweet spot. Good review. Too many folks have egos bigger than their ability or client list.
I still have mine ❤ sis it came out. I have traveled, have taken it to harsh conditions. It has gotten wet, freezing dust dirt, and it's still kicking.

I really can't decide between this beast & a full frame set up or a ZV E10 & more lenses, equipment etc to start with. So difficult to choose your gear these days with so many options! You showcased it brilliantly here.
I have the ZV-E10 as my first cam with sigma 16mm and 30mm. Absolute beast of a cam. Honestly the same quality as A7iii. Only diff is minor things. Rolling shutter being the worst if your panning ZV fast like a madman. The A7iii does have a special "magic" to it tho lol. Idk why i can tell when certain stuff is filmed with the a7iii but it looks unique. Overall, if your on a slightly lower budget I'd get the Zv-E10 and use the extra money to kit it out. Cuz good glass for a full frame is going to be more expensive as well. All up to you tho bro!

Thank you for these kinds of videos. A lot of creators these days are already ditching the A7IV for the rumored upcoming A7V. It almost makes me feel bad about upgrading from the A7III to the A7IV last year, like I did it too late. Open gate, 6K 60fps, internal RAW recording... come on, do we really need all that? People need to learn how to light and compose first. Great video, almost therapeutic, keep it up!
In my opinion, the black magic camera would be a great choice for creating high-quality RUclips Content. It’s professional video features such as 4K recording and wide dynamic range, would allow you to produce stunning videos that stand out on any platform. Also, the cameras, compact size and portability make it convenient for vlogging and on the go shooting.
I have been using one for more than two years now. A beast of a camera!! A certified legend now!! I just wish that Sony added a brighter screen and the new AF system. Make it 10 bit and 4k 60. The all new Sony A7 IIIA.

I was on the original a7s since it was originally released. You can get a LOT of life out of modern cameras. With the work I do, trading in my a7s for an a7iii was actually cheaper than renting a higher end camera for an upcoming photo project so it made sense to get an a7iii in 2024 for me. It's a significant upgrade compared to the a7s. At my day job I use an A1 for photo and a Burano for video so I am very familiar with Sony flagship and high end products and really don't feel that I'm missing much from the a7iii that I get out of the A1 - sure the A1 is the clear champ, but it also speaks to the a7iii that, especially for my personal body, i'm not aching for something more.

I had a III also and liked it. Bought an A7IV and it had overheating problems. Sold it, too. Now I have the FX3 and FX30 with built in fans. No more issues.
I sold my A7III and still regret it.. Even tho I have had A7IV and Canon R5.. Now only R5 which is a beast but still there are something that I miss from A7III. A7IV i don't miss at all, I had better keepers with A7III to be honest and it followed my dogs better than A7IV (which was kind of weird but it felt laggy and slow).

Definitely a beautiful camera, with amazing capabilities. For online content, you probably couldn't do much better. I've actually looked at the A7iii a few times. But, ultimately, I move past it since for my uses I do prefer cameras that can shoot 10-bit. Having had the A7C, I was able to get great shots as well. But, the banding and artifacts I got from some low light situations eventually lead me to sell it. But, if you're just shooting straight to REC709 colors, than the A7iii would probably meet most of your needs.
New online for around $1,200 right now. Not bad really for what it is and full frame. I am considering Sony for event photography, mainly the eye auto focus.

Many cameras have come out since that are technically more proficient. Obviously loads of them have much bigger megapixel counts. But I don't feel I'm anywhere near to getting squeezing out everything the a7iii can do. I do wonder how many people who regard cameras like the a7iii as obsolete have any idea how to create images and video that connect to people.
Guys I had the A7iv. Would you believe me if I told you I took it back because some things on A7iii are better??? Hear me out: - for home creation 8 bit 4k 100mbps is GREAT. Trust me. Expose properly and you’ll have more than enough for home videos, small client work and RUclips. - for home creation and RUclips, the 4k60fps 400mbps files ARE HUUUGEEE. Plus my laptop became so so so slow I couldn’t even view 10 bit. - the A7iv is HOT. When I was just playing in menu it gets hot. Even my kids said it’s hot while viewing pics, now imagine a shoot. - The memory cards to record high bit rates are EXPEEENSIIVEEE. - The last straw was the battery life. I’m a casual user and my 3x a7iii batteries I hardly EVER charge. A7iv just EATs battery life. I swear I’d leave it at 30%, 3 days later it’s just flat. While A7iii. If I left it at 30%, in 3weeks it’s at 30% and I can shoot. - the flippy screen. Some people love it, I’m the camp that prefer the pop up screen. If 90% of your work is photo. Bruh, A7iii is STILL UNBELIEVABLE. If 90% of your work is video. It’s not good enough. Thanks for listening 😬
Any ideas why my Sony when I shoot overhead takes only horizontal not vertical pictures and videos ? ( only when overhead positions) I have the same issues with Sony zv1ii and zv10
I personally love my Riii but I mostly do photography. It is built better and has twice the expected shutter life. Video on the 7iii is better though. On the Riii you have to shoot in crop mode for the best image because the 42mp does line skipping while shooting video in FF. The video is good though but it looks best in crop mode at 18mp full readout.

Its the person behind the camera that makes the difference. The A73. is a breakthrough tool that gives the creator so much more latitude to work with. The upgrades from this are good, but they do not always translate to better work. This video is proof of the brilliance of making the best from a superb canera eith raw talent. I havecrhat and the zcanon 5D2. The only place where Canon shines is in skin tone. But really, the Sony is king.
I wish Sony have better long term support for their products and keep providing software updates for older cameras like the a7iii, but oh well they are a greedy company trying to push you to buy their new products so alas that will never happen

I mean when you can find clean used copies for $700 I still think they are definitely worth it. FF with evf and AF that competitors are just now surpassing lol. The autofocus is still better than z6ii/z7ii and r5/R6 ... Video looks better than the 6700/zve10ii in my opinion
@@nicedward7544 if you're using it for nothing serious then it'll be way more than enough but 8 bit isnt really that good and the lowlight benefits of it being ff isnt as important as it used to be since the a6700 plus some noise reduction is not that bad for some moderately lowlight scenes of course if you could get it for cheap and it fitting your use case then there wont be any issues but me personally if price didnt matter i'll still choose the a6700 since the photos from the 7iii is great but the video really doesnt hold up as well

I love the A&IV and wont upgrade to the A7 V. No reason. Maybe VI in 2030.

The a7iiii is the camera that convinced me to change over to Sony after 20 years of shooting on Canon.

- The last straw was the battery life. I’m a casual user and my 3x a7iii batteries I hardly EVER charge. A7iv just EATs battery life. I swear I’d leave it at 30%, 3 days later it’s just flat. While A7iii. If I left it at 30%, in 3weeks it’s at 30% and I can shoot.
- the flippy screen. Some people love it, I’m the camp that prefer the pop up screen.
If 90% of your work is photo. Bruh, A7iii is STILL UNBELIEVABLE.

Any ideas why my Sony when I shoot overhead takes only horizontal not vertical pictures and videos ? ( only when overhead positions) I have the same issues with Sony zv1ii and zv10

I personally love my Riii but I mostly do photography. It is built better and has twice the expected shutter life. Video on the 7iii is better though. On the Riii you have to shoot in crop mode for the best image because the 42mp does line skipping while shooting video in FF. The video is good though but it looks best in crop mode at 18mp full readout.
Then lowlight would be a consideration

Its the person behind the camera that makes the difference. The A73. is a breakthrough tool that gives the creator so much more latitude to work with. The upgrades from this are good, but they do not always translate to better work. This video is proof of the brilliance of making the best from a superb canera eith raw talent.
I havecrhat and the zcanon 5D2. The only place where Canon shines is in skin tone. But really, the Sony is king.
I wish Sony have better long term support for their products and keep providing software updates for older cameras like the a7iii, but oh well they are a greedy company trying to push you to buy their new products so alas that will never happen

to be honest the a7iii really isnt worth it anymore
it just feels like it's riding on it past reputation more than anything
just get the a6700 or something
I mean when you can find clean used copies for $700 I still think they are definitely worth it. FF with evf and AF that competitors are just now surpassing lol. The autofocus is still better than z6ii/z7ii and r5/R6 ... Video looks better than the 6700/zve10ii in my opinion
@@nicedward7544 if you're using it for nothing serious then it'll be way more than enough
but 8 bit isnt really that good and the lowlight benefits of it being ff isnt as important as it used to be since the a6700 plus some noise reduction is not that bad for some moderately lowlight scenes
of course if you could get it for cheap and it fitting your use case then there wont be any issues
but me personally if price didnt matter i'll still choose the a6700 since the photos from the 7iii is great but the video really doesnt hold up as well

I still have mine ❤ sis it came out. I have traveled, have taken it to harsh conditions. It has gotten wet, freezing dust dirt, and it's still kicking.
