Rammstein in Paris Full Concert Reaction on Patreon for the Fancy Diamond Tier: www.patreon.com/InnaSolo
they sing THIS IS NOT A LOVE SONG so there is no mistaking that this is not, in fact, in any way a positive tribute to america. The reason they are in space is even a troll... america's greatest achievement is going to the moon. And people dont believe it happened. The irony
Great reaction, thank you! 🙂"Zeit" is a masterpiece, and so is "Deutschland". "Ohne dich" is great and "Angst" as well.
thank you so much for the suggestions
As an American, this is probably my favorite Rammstein song. And yes, I know "This is not a love song". ;)
And yet I live in a version of America that I dont know or even recognize anymore. And it aint for the better. ❤ 🎶 👏 👏 👏
Yeah we have the same problem going on in Europe too :/
I think it's pretty clear what Rammstein's criticism of this song is, about American imperialism and how the United States tries to impose its culture and its truth in these poorer countries without caring about the impact it may have! Anyway, that's it Inna, continue with the work you're doing and Brazilian greetings to you!
Those drums are were made in the 70's by a Company named Staccato , they were single Headed Melodic drums , usually used in Studios, they made they weird shapes as a gimmick
I knew a drummer in a jazz band in the early 80's and if I remember correctly his kit were 'North Drums' but hey it's been 40 years, can't even buy a coffee with my .2 cents! lol.
I assumed they were styled after some kind of steering thrusters I remember seeing in old NASA videos that were fitted to one of the old rockets, Saturn or Gemini. Well there you go :) I still want to make my Les Paul knockoff into Richard's NASA guitar though.
Try out these 2 - you'll probably like them much:
- Mein Teil (live from 2013 - make sure you read the background story beforehand!)
- Zeit (official video)
And if you are deep into the Rammstein Story then you might dare to try this too:
- Bück dich (live from Berlin 1997)
Buck Dich would be quite the reaction...
As an American I loved this song when it originally came out and as a former resident of Germany (Wertheim) prior to the fall of the wall I can understand the sentiment. Such an amazing band from its interesting beginnings to now Wunderbar!
Definitely subbed! Cute, smart, gets these lyrics that basically no one gets.. and also - Hey, '97 is ours girl! 🤩🤩
By the lyrics that no one gets I mean the fact that you get what they really mean.. not that America's great and everyone admires them but the exact opposite... they are soo intrusive and got everywhere and ruined basically every other culture.
And don't get me wrong - I like the US of A but damn.. this is some truth right here in this song! 😵
lol she completely missed the whole thing
You should definitely check "Radio", I love that song!
It's a staccato drumset from the late 70's i think.they are made in America
They were forbidden to sing this song in America. But they sang it anyways and they were fined on 1 Million dollars
This song is literally trolling the United States. Poking fun at how we think we have such a stranglehold on the world financially and cultural influence. Truly hilarious and he's not wrong lol
Germany is just big mad Americans stopped their little European fun tour…. Twice.
@@awesomelana7227 we aint brother, most ppl here are very grateful for the liberation of Facism back in the 40s...rip to all the fallen Allied Soldiers, which for sure are great Heros!
Rammstein imo still got a point, in the (sometimes) not that great Cultural influence on the whole world the past around 20-30 Years.
Sorry for bad english, peace out.
Nice one, "Ohne dich" is great one too
Engel is my favourite song by these guys, I’m pretty sure they are classed as Industrial Metal like Fear Factory and other bands
i was expecting it :D
❤like this reaction.
The next song by Rammstein you should react to is "Engel". It's one of their earlier singles, but one of their most popular in my opinion.
did you react to "mutter"? director's cuts from the live in Paris is really a great version ;).
Hi Inna that is my second video from this band. The other song was quite hilarious.
This one I really didn't understand just the few things you pointed out.But anyways I enjoy your and always look for it to a reaction video.❤😊.
We're all living in America.
America is wonderful.
We're all living in America,
America, America.
We're all living in America.
America is wonderful.
We're all living in America,
America, America, America.
When there's dancing, I want to lead,
Even if you're spinning alone.
Let me control you a little.
I'll show you how to do it right.
We form a lovely round dance,
Freedom plays all the violins.
Music comes from the White House
And in front of Paris stands Mickey Mouse.
We're all living in America.
America is wonderful.
We're all living in America,
America, America.
I know steps that are very useful,
And will protect you from missteps.
And those who don't want to dance at the end,
Do not yet know that they must dance.
We form a lovely round dance,
I'll show you the way.
After Africa comes Santa Claus
And before Paris is Mickey Mouse.
We're all living in America.
America is wonderful.
We're all living in America,
America, America.
We're all living in America.
Coca-Cola, Wonderbra.
We're all living in America,
America, America, America.
This is not a love song.
This is not a love song.
I don't sing my mother tongue.
No, this is not a love song.
We're all living in America.
America is wonderful.
We're all living in America,
America, America.
We're all living in America.
Coca-Cola, sometimes war.
We're all living in America,
America, America, America.
I'd recommend Zick Zack (best with english subtitles). It's just fun.
Great reaction. I recommend you a rare video: "Spring" (jump). It is very socially critical and (and as always with Rammstein) ambiguous. I think it fits in our current times incredibly well. It's the official video with the paper men (fanmade). Be sure to find the one with the subtitles.
"Zeit " too! Thanks!
👍👍
Vergleicht mal denn refrain der Melodie mit Living in America von der Band The Sounds uebrigens haben The Sounds das Lied Frueher Komponiert klingt ein bischen abgekupfert von Rammstein ?
next one: 'Ohne Dich' ?! ; yeah you're also amazing
Yes more rammstein nice. Go for Rammlied live in America it is a burner and what a show , you will love it ✌😊❤
The only answer to your question which song of Rammstein to listen to is: ALL OF THEM :D ... no, really, all of them. One of the running jokes I had with my girlfriend when listening to Rammstein was that each time we heard one I said: "THIS is my favourite Rammstein song." ... until the next one on the playlist and I said the same line :D ... I have been a fan since 1996/1997 and even now I still can not point out which of their songs is my favourite. When tortured I would say: "Engel" ... the first Rammstein song I ever heard.
I've watched pretty much every reaction to this song and I've never seen anyone mention the japanese "Elvis" on a Harley Davidson.😞
Can you react to limp bizkit song just like this live in Woodstock 99 that would be awesome!!!🤘🤘😁😁
rammstein is best Live !
If you haven't seen it yet, I'd recommend 'Angst'(Fear). It's a powerful song and disturbing video.
Pls make one about Moskau from Rammstein
Auselander next please. :)
Please react to official video of
Ohne dich
Du riechst so gut '98
Mein herz brennt
Zeit etc
As a German, I must ask, how do you translate the line "Vor Paris steht Micky Maus"? Because I somehow suspect, a mean little wordplay may be lost in translation.
Zeit!!!
Low energy girl. That moves agrhh dead fish
Best Line is:
Coka Cola Sometimes War.
>coca-cola, sometimes war
What do they mean by 'sometimes' ?
maybe you could take a listen to till solo/other LINDEMANN - Knebel, LINDEMANN - Ach so gern (One Shot Video) and INDEMANN - Steh auf (Official Video)
It's easy to dislike America for all we've done around the globe over the years. People don't even have to try very hard to find things to disapprove of. I do find some of the finer details particularly interesting in this video. The United States wouldn't have ever gotten off the ground with the Saturn 5 if we hadn't brought over a bunch of German Military (we're not allowed to say what party they were from in Germany on RUclips) including Werner Von Braun to make it happen. Essentially the moon footage was made possible by Germans. Then there's the depiction of fast food, televisions, shoes, etc which are not America pushing it on other nations, it's corporations doing so, not that I'm a fan of corporations and the way they behave. The biggest irony of all is that we're all watching this video on RUclips, an American company that helps creators all around the globe reach audiences around the world, and even provides monetary compensation to many of them from ad revenue, and you're likely watching this on an Android device running an OS that is written by that same company, and watching this video in a browser or dedicated app also written by that same company. America had a hand in bringing it to the world through the internet, cable systems, and satellite systems that we helped design and put in place.
To be honest, I don't take offense to this song at all, even though it's written to be a gut punch to Americans and our way of life. Art can be brutal sometimes, and Rammstein does it well. I don't apologize for our influence, because it wasn't forced on anyone (aside from the Native Americans, where we did actually wipe them out) any more than watching RUclips is forced on people. Free will is a real thing.
Moon Landing - Lost technology. 😂😂😂
Hallo eastern Europe. Skål from northern Europe.
🤝🇩🇪🤝👍🙏🫶👏👏
Next reaction Weird Genius - Lathi ( ft.Sara Fajira) official music video
I adore watching another non American who gets this in its entirety (and the infection of American influence) Basically ever American reactor sits there not seeing a problem until the "This is not a love song" break happens, then they are "What?" Then confusion.. "Don't they love us?" 😆
they never have afraid to talk about of controversial topics since the very beginning of their career til nowadays.
They are musicians so of course they can....we life in an western world. There is no problem for them to point it out, we have free speech. Even if the edge lords pretend we didnt.
@@nikolah.8472 agreed but I don't know any band can do as Rammstein does they were censored so many times remember that.
Rammstein, a heavy metal group from Germany.
As an American i can agree with this but i mean England had there chance to take us out when we rebelled now we are a superpower deal with it lol
They did Deutschland about thier native Germany. Now United States with Amerika.
at least pizza is from Italy.
Subtitles?
To be honest, I'm sad that Inna obviously grew up in such a toxic environment of self-censorship that she considers Rammstein "brave" for this rather innocent satirical video and the fact that many reactors think so these days, especially younger people, says a lot about the current deplorable state of freedom of speech.
This video is not satirical it shows the cultural genozid made by USA.
@@arnolsi I remember the interviews that the members of Rammstein gave at that time and they stressed that "Amerika" is not a hate song. Guitarist Richard Kruspe actually moved to New York at that time. So don't project your hatred of the USA onto the band.
@@arnolsi thats your interpretation not the musicians...cultural genozid is such an edgy buzz word. It is much more about soft power and beeing aware this influence is all over the world. Dont overreact on such topics.
@@nikolah.8472 I made 50 years ago a big travel through the world. I can tell you that the West meanwhile dominate the culture all over the world. Everywhere the same brands, the same music, the same movies and so on.
It's not very much left from the native cultures in other states.
@@arnolsi and i dont say it isnt dominant, but it is slowly changing. The US were very dominant for 50 years, but slowly competition is rising all over the planet. Im from germany and i see that we are very dominated by english language, but i see it as an advantage worldwide as export nation. We can trade easier and can communicate easy with other nations, with german alone this wouldnt be possible.
It isnt a bad thing or a good thing. Yes US products are very present, but german products too, chinese also and south corea is dominating now in soft power imo. All kids in germany are very obsessed with corean music at the moment, not US music.
It is important to be aware of influencing powers and the intentions behind it, but it also benefit us with products we dont produce in that quality. Films and series are very bad in germany, so im glad we have US series and films.

Zeit, but it's hard to watch, taff topic ;)
As an American; I get it.....I get it. 😊 Dankeschön Ramstein.
Yet, humans still risk everything to come here. Billy Joel...."we didn't start the fire".
controversal? no
Til Lindemann of Rammstein said that 'Amerika' was written after the US launched their invasion of Iraq in 2003 - the 2nd Gulf War was a waste of life and resources by the George W. Bush/ Cheney administration initiated under a huge lie and false pretenses that Saddam Hussein was trying to acquire 'weapons of mass destruction' when he was not... (The real intent was to secure the Gulf oil reserves by force and finish was Bush Sr. started in 1991-the 1st Gulf War)
Released in 2004, 'Amerika' was a rebuke and plea by Rammstein for the US to recognize the power and influence it has in the world... and those in power should reconsider before invading sovereign countries under bogus pretenses... The war in Ukraine by Russian aggression has reinforced how wrong that path of action is.
This is not a love song
I don't sing my mother tongue
No, this is not a love song
Be so boring without us…..you are welcome 😊
Gotta love the German sense of humor. Of course, the alternative to living in Amerika was...well, I'm sure they remember.
ode? lol wow you missed EVERYTHING
This is not a Love Song!!!!
To me it's humbling to see the 'American Effect' being perpetrated on the rest of the world, it sucks to be cool.
You said "they are already controversial, with TV, and pizza outside".
What does thar mean? Please explain. You have followers for a reason. Your followers follow you and hear things like this, and what are they supposed to think? And since it's called "america", is Rammstein being stereotypical? I don't know any Americans that eat pizza outside and watch TV. Aparently Germans are jealous of American freedons even though they exaggerated shit in this video. If an American band sung a song like this, they would be labeled as racist and forced to disband. I myself am a German American, and I don't condone their lyrics or your "response".
Please explain the pizza outside statement you made...
Stereotypes are art, huh?
Oh, and Rammstein, maybe deal with the issues in 🎵Deutschland🎵 before you complain about 🎵America🎵.
I guarantee you there are more eastern meditation practitioners and vegetarians in the US than there are Buddhist monks in East Asia eating cheeseburgers; more black Americans celebrating African heritage in the US than Africans believing in Santa Clause, etc.
I thought multicultural exchange, tolerance, and openness, etc. were good things. Americans can take on aspects of the world's culture, but if people in Japan like Rock music somehow *we're* the villains?
Rammstein, Germany, and the rest of the planet... you're welcome! From 🇺🇲
Ingrates.
They did make a song called Deutschland, check it out.
@digithead62 ,
Yes, I know. That's why I put musical notes around it, as in-- "🎵Deutschland🎵"
I was saying that Germans should fix the issues they brought up in that song before just making a stereotypalooza about the country that both defeated and saved them last century and upon whom they rely for their own continued existence.
And the song Deutschland addresses more actual real societal issues while the song Amerika is a very superficial litany of stereotypes in which they basically complain, "how dare they be influencial."
We never colonized all these countries and forced them to put up McDonaldses and drink Coka-Cola. Can Germany (or pretty much any Western/Central European country) say the same thing about their history of cultural exports?
Oh no! Our cultural importation is done via free market choice rather than impirial armies and colonization! How dare we?!
Other countries complaining about US cultural influence is like a fat, spoiled dog complaining because the neighbor kid keeps feeding it junk food when it goes into his yard and asks for it.
If you don't want it, don't take it. In the meantime, we should be saying, "You're welcome," not "we're sorry."
Just guessing that this video suggests, Russia might be a better example of, "FREE WILL"? iF so, enjoy.
Anti american song. For the Iraq invasion.🇮🇶🇮🇶🇮🇶
Nonsense
not jsut for iraq, for every crime all around world, also mockery of their media and stuff. ultimate insult was fake moon landing at end :D
You people are all so specific, its not ANTI american song. It only points the obvious influence out that the US have on all parts of the world. Sure there is critism, but you are much to worked up on things they dont mention here.
