Also: This song is FUN!
You could translate this song into any language or even play it for someone thousands of years ago and the reaction would be universal. My dad is in his 70s and thought this was hilarious
These young people grew up in networks of large American companies led by the descendants of the Puritans. Enough said!
Compared to the late 60s and 70s it is all going backward now.
Especially knowing rap exists.
For me the song talks about the search for happiness and how sometimes we are blind and we don't realize that what we are looking for so much is closer than we think. In the video Till is looking for a woman with big breasts, but since he is blind he does not realize that he is surrounded by them 😅

I absolutely love this band. I downloaded most of their music. I don’t speak German but a few words. I visited Germany and want to spend more time there. The country, people, culture, history, food, language, music and of course the beer are among the best in the world.

I saw Rammstein live for the first time in 2010 when I was 13 (almost 14) with my dad, uncle, and some others. It was the LIFAD tour, so Pus*y (I'm not sure how strict YT commenting has gone) was song I knew, but I did not know about the cannon until I saw it live. I was singing along, and I accidently got eye contact with my dad. We both knew the song and ofc what Till's dick cannon meant - but the awkward thing was that we never had the birds and the bees talk 😂

I have been huge fan of Rammstein since 90's, I'd say that one is my favourite song so far, and your suffering approaching to the titen subject has improved it greatly.

That's something I always found funny in the US. You can show the absolut bloodiest murders on TV but don't dare to have a naked breast or *gasp" a penis visible, they'll crucify you for that.

Gut Frau Inna, I am so loving your reaction to the video. I listened to Rammstein when they first emerged here the US; haven't done so in a while. I learned German long ago and am fairly out of touch with it, but I do catch a general meaning unless I stop the video and really try to remember/figure out what is being said. Your attitude and demeanor is infectiously amusing; thank you so much for the laughs (I needed them!).
I lived😮 in Germany for a decade, I first found out about Rammstien from the movie Tripple X. Been a fan ever since. I'm 66❤

If you get the chance to listen to earlier Rammstein albums inna, you will find some very colourful lyrics. Besides their awesome music the poetical lyrics are wat made me a Rammstein fan from the earliest days of the band.
same. first time i heard du riechst so gut and herzeleid back in 95 i was an instant fan. also i was 11 when the first album Herzeleid dropped i had my brother buy the cassette and loved every second of it even if i didnt know what any of it meant at that time.

I really enjoyed that video. I lived in Bad Tolz when I was a child. I was surprised to understand what he was singing. I am so glad it wasn't in Byrisch (sp?)! This brought back some memories!

I'm a guitar player and I've heard of this band and this was the first time I listened to this song and although I'm American I had no idea what they were saying....but they definitely kicked ass
If you are from the US I recommend you check out their song "Amerika". It's one of my favourites by this band.

Rammstein released several videos in close succession when they dropped the latest album. This one is a lot of fun but if you want some more intense deeper, darker ones try Zeit or Adieu. Zick Zack is on my list of ones I really don't care for as the visuals were on a stepped up tier of disturbing but can still be amusing.
