What type of material in the caulk gun did you use the to replace the rubbery, caulk-like material you chiseled out of the gutter with your screwdriver?
It's kinda just looks like normal Ace brand white caulk. You could use a caulk or sealant specific to RVs. Marine sealants are even more robust as fr as I know
I enjoyed your video. It gives me confidence to do my own gutter repair/refresh. I do have what appears to be a pin hole on the passenger side. My rocker panels are shot too.
Hope that was an automotive seam sealer. Great way to add protection is goop TF out of the roof gutter with cheap turtle wax. I put on about 3 - 4 layers once a year.
Good F job dude 👏👏👏I just both a Van for a small project I don’t know how too used a hammer 🔨 😅 but you give me hope I’m going to do it myself fuck it, thank you again a blessings to you 🙏
for the rust reformer spray, the reviews say to spray on rust, and not to sand to the bare metal. Did it bond to the bare metal ok? and did you clean the metal with anything special after sanding it? or just wipe with water and let it dry completely?
You will want to remove any loose rust before spraying rust reformer. I always wire wheel my projects down to bare metal and then I use the rust reformer because I can't always get all the rust in the nooks and crevices. The results have always been great when I use the product like that.

Yeah i had no money in the van and it had 300,000 miles on it so nothing needs to be perfect. But i enjoyed the van and now have 2 different vans.

It is holding up good so far. I did not use any thing other than water when i sprayed off the rust converter. Then just let it dry very well.

Well at least that original paint didn't just peel off in the wind like on my Chevy truck.
I had a chevy express van that did. It was horrible.
Window seals leak in these older Ford Econoline vans !!!
How is it holding up? Has the rust came back?
Sorry i would keep forgetting to look at the roof to see how it was looking. It seems to be holding up well.
What type of caulk did you use?
Dont know what they used, but you should use an automotive seam sealer...
Did not like or subscribe bc you refuse to tell us the products you are using.
what power tool is that youre using to get the rust off
Just a drill with a wire brush in it
