- Finally working on the stance that I've pictured for this truck, and let me tell you, she looks damn good! Very happy with the work that myself, my dad, and my girlfriend put into getting this truck the way she is now! Couldn't do it without them!
Haters will say I ruined it, but I don't care. ;)

I don’t see why y’all saying “why lower a 4x4 " he said he wanted a race truck and what does 4x4 do in a race truck? Better launch!! And more traction! So yea i love the idea of a lowered 4x4 especially since its going to be a race truck uff 😍 its gonna be awesome
You got the right idea!
Ur a moron.. he ruined his truck numbnuts
RAM TRUCKS shutup Karen
I think my favorite part is just to get to read the comments. Lol I have never understood why 4X4 = lift only. I get that most buy a 4X4 to have to go off-road and not be as likely to be stranded if they do so, but that is not everybody. I bought a 4X4 because the winters here can get bad and living on a road with steep hills and curvy roads, I need the option to use it to get home sometimes. On the other hand, living on a curvy road sucks with stock height or lifted and with back problems, it is a lot nicer to get in and out of the truck now that it's lowered and it handles much better. Lastly, when I add more power, the option to have four wheel drive to launch is so nice to have. Sorry for the rant. I'm with you bud. Looks great and ignore the negativity. I bought a 4X4 for extra traction in my daily commute and race applications and don't need any extra ground clearance. If sending power to all four wheels required lifting, you would need to lift your Subaru too just because. Lol
Thanks, man! I really appreciate it! I'm not worried about the negativity. Haters gonna hate. It's doing its job and stirring the pot.
Shaneman20 Exactly! I think it's worse when people lift them, drive them everyday and never go off-road or need the ground clearance.
Brandon S ur an idiot! 🤦🏻♂️
@Brandon S anyone who off-roads a new truck like this, is usually called a fucking idiot, that's what old trucks are for, oh and I see lifted, mud tires, street quens all the time, and I think what a waist of money and time
Down here in Texas we love dropped trucks and that’s one bad Silverado keep it up
Wrong.. lowered trucks are garbage
RAM TRUCKS nah
Your truck your taste, looks great man 👌🏼
O_o Lowered Z71.......I like it. Now for a good set of rims and rubber to go under her. Looking sharp bud. Keep it up.
U probably drive a riced out Civic punk
Congrats man, welcome to the dark side.. I'm a bit of a rarity here in SC with a lowered truck but love it.
how much did the whole lot cost ya? i know everything from IHC (front and rear) is 700 plus shipping
So sick looking. great work Shane can't wait to see what you do next.
Yeah I wouldn’t lower a 4x4, now a 2wd sure but doing it on a 4x4 is a waste in my opinion.
West Hills Rides this.... jack that thing up not slam it.
Its a race truck ya’ll don’t understand.
Funny part is I do understand my first, second, and third trucks were built with acceleration over off roading in mind. My 86 was a single cab, short (wooden) bed, and dropped with a 502bb. My 93 was a beefed up 350 extended cad/step side stuck dropped. My 04 I did not do much too it but all of them were 2x4. My 14 is 4x4 and I plan to lift if and possibly supercharge it.
Wasted z71 , shoulda raised it, those trucks are a lot of fun
West Hills Rides true
Did you get a good alignment on the front.?
Welcome to the Honda gang
😂😂😂
Good information
Your truck, your options
Nice truck can’t wait to see it with the new wheels and tires
Ive always loved lowered trucks now if only companies would bring back tiny trucks like the old Subaru Baja and the 80s Japanese trucks those things were fucking awesome
Did you use stock shakles on the back . Or just hung leaf springs to new hangers ??
It’s your truck, you can do what you want to do with it
Had any trouble with those front CV angles? That is my biggest worry lowering my 4wd.
Love the way it looks tbh
looks awesome, i too lowered my 2010 lazer blue gmc 4x4 3/5 ,got to love breaking necks still with the 4x4 emblem
Love the way it’s looking
I’m not really with lowering a 4x4. But with these new trucks you can do a 4x4 launch. So I see how it would be nice in a lowered truck.
I'm thinking of lowering my 15 Silverado back end to level it and make it easier to load home projects
Kurt Zimmerman I lowered my 2014 3 inches in the back to level it opposed to raising the front. Very happy with it.
Jake Hitchcock what did you do to drop the back ? Shackles ?
vlone cock yeah I used Maxtrac shackles, I meant to type 2 inch not 3. They were easy to install and have a grease fitting for the bolt that holds the leaf pack to the shackle. Have had it in for almost two years every thing is still perfect.
Jake Hitchcock also have two inch shackles on my 14 but she still has rake 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 I was wondering what else I could I do to drop the rear a little more
Shane did you ever have any vibration during hard acceleration? I did a 2/5 drop on my 2017 Denali 6.2 1500 4x4 and have a vibration under hard acceleration from 4000 rpm and above. I have an LT4 supercharger with tune and other mods with a conservative 520 whp. I am making this a street truck. It’s got to be a pinion angle issue. Curious if the Calvert traction bars would lock the pinion alignment in place under hard accelerations? The kit is a matrax lowering kit made for Denali with magnaride. Uses drop springs with factory control arms and flip kit. Thanks
You may check and see if you have transmission shims. That's what I had for my kit. I have no vibration issues.
I have the exact same truck. 2014, black, extended crew and dropped as well lol
Hows your turning with the INEZ kit?
Does the bottom leaf spring come in contact with the trac-bars any?
Yes, it does. I am still debating removing that spring and installing shims in place of them and see how the truck responds.
Did you have a problem with your rear wheels hitting the wheel wells at 6” drop over big bumps ?
Only in the front. Front fender liners have rub marks at the top of them. Lol. Rear is mainly more stiff than it needs to be and does washboard. I'll eventually figure out why.
@@shaneman20 well like when I did mine I like the way it looked but was like damn it’s hitting the frame then when I looked it wasn’t it was hitting the top of the fender like where it returns inwards towards the bed and I’m on stock rims and all
That’s a good kit IHC I have the same kit on 07 Silverado 4wd put some bump stop to keep u from bottoming out
All these haters LMAO... dropped trucks are huge here in cali man you see a dropped truck on just every corner you turn here in the city.. I currently have a leveled '13 silverado myself I plan on dropping aswell wish me luck!
LoCcdOutSS same here in Houston, Texas!
please dont
4x4 or 2 wd , it don’t matter , you do what you want to do to it unlesss any of this fuckers pays off your truck , I’ll drop a 4x4 ANY day just so people can talk 😂 but yeah man, i seen comments of people unsubscribing but that don’t matter, you got more people subscribing and I will also recomend your videos to more people , enjoy your truck brother 🙏🏻
My guy 😎🤙
Where did you get the bell tech flip kit?
LMAO all these haters are funny😂. We all have different taste, just cause you like taking your truck off road and fucking it up doesn’t mean all of us do! I prefer riding low on the streets & keeping it clean. I have a single cab 4x4 and I’m already dropping it 🤙🏼 keep it up looks clean
Thanks for being honest. Truck looks great I'm looking to lower mine
Have non against lifted but lowered u get to admire it more
Cool video I’m considering lowering my nnbs z71 4x4. This was my first 4x4 ever it has a leveling kit on it and I’ve thought about a lift but I’m a lowered truck guy. I guess I could get a 2wd but I want to keep this one. That being said Lol how’s that “salt life” going in Indiana?
I can hear the frame rusting outside.
I'd love a review of the ihc 4" front drop... Specifically, I'd like to hear how it affected things... Turning radius, ride quality, and anything else it may have had an affect on. I'll be subbing and looking out for that vid.
I'll get back to you on that one. Worth mentioning.
@@shaneman20 are you still alive??
looks so wicked lowered, Congrats!
If only my truck was on road only. Unfortunately I have to go off road too much and need the clearance.
Beautiful truck
Come to southern cali bro you blend in here with our trucking community👌👌
Aquí andas foo
What’s the exhaust set up
Will lowering a 4x4 truck ruin anything? Because I seen a single cab ram that I want to lower it but it’s 4x4
Just have less ground clearance. Biggest thing to keep in mind, just like lifting a 4or, make sure your driveline/CV angles are good. Nothing crazy. Otherwise, it will cause accelerated wear.
Sway bar links are screwed up. Should have been engineered better than that. Not your fault but the manufacturer would be hearing from me.
Do you think that if you had it at 7 in the rear it would bottom out?
I don't think so.
a dropped 4x4 is nice has more traction when your driving in snow or rain
How does it ride without a notch? Does the axle hit the frame hard ?
Very well. Hasn't hit the frame yet.
Is there a camber kit that comes with the front ? & do you have link for the parts you ordered? Let me know pls I plan on lowering my 14 sierra soon 😈
No. You use stock camber plates. Alignment shop will get your camber adjusted. Honestly, my camber wasn't too bad when it was finished, but the toe will be an issue.
Shaneman20 what website did you order the parts from ?
@@scottyls2750 I think Inez Hotrods has a website now. Used to have to call them.
Shaneman20 thanks for the info I ordered the parts already 👌🏻 soon I’ll be running the same set up
@ Shaneman20 Fool why did you get the Z71 package if you were going to lower it !?!?!?!?
Cause 4 years ago, that wasn't the plan. Then I said, "f*ck it."
@@shaneman20 Dude other truck Dudes are gonna see that lowered Z71 and are gonna think " Has that Dude lost his Mind "
@@thunderbolt5354 Can't say as though I care. Still a practical truck. I can still use the bed to haul stuff. Besides, racetruck.
@@shaneman20 Yea Shaneman you will be testing out those skidplates for the transfercase and Oil Pan !
@@thunderbolt5354 🤷♂️
It looks clean dropped!
I’d love to race you with my Silverado. We live in the same state and would love to compare trucks with different mods.
Where can i buy the mount to raise the transmission up?
Mine came in the kit with the belltech flip kit.
Does your truck by any chance sitts lower on the driver side ?
Not that I've ever noticed.
@@shaneman20 thanks for the reply and awesome work man. Your truck sounds mean man nice aggressive sound 👍
Does your 4 wheel drive still work without any problems
Yep!
One word answer. Something must have gone wrong.
Do u have the link for the parts am trying to do the same but for my crew cab
Unfortunately, with IHC, you'll have to order via phone. Everything else is online. I'll update everything once I get the chance, my man.
Shaneman20 ohh alright bro sound good thanks will like to know where u got the stuff cuz I wanna do the same
How u like the IHC kit??
Love it. If used in 2wd applications, it's amazing. If used in 4wd applications, biggest thing is keep an eye on CV angles.
I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 4x4 how would I lower the front ?
Not sure. I lowered mine with upper and lower control arms.
Oscar how low did you end up getting your silverado ?
What would the resale be now.
Worth what someone will pay.
Does the rear bottom out?
Nope
What tonneau cover you using?
Access Vanish.
anybody know where I can find ignition coil packs, I have a 2015 ltz 5.3 I have bunch of shit done to my engine, slp 3 inch stainless exhaust, tuned, s&b intake, ported throttle body, throttle body spacer, moroso catch can, I have 8mm ceramic plug wires but can't find fricken coil packs.
That's like raising a 2wd, pisses people off, but they didn't pay for it, so their opinion means jack shit. I kinda wanna raise my 2wd 3ft, but also wanna lower the back to be level.
Not a fan of lowered trucks...but that’s my opinion for my vehicles and why my 16 is on a fabtech 6”. On the other hand, I appreciate other styles and you’ve got a clean setup!
Less is more!
what exhaust is that @shaneman20
Corsa Sport.
I’m not against lowering a truck however I’m against lowering a 4x4. It looks good.
Still have some tire gap. Should of went to a 7/11
I was mainly worried about CV angles at that point. 4/6 gave me what I wanted without being ridiculous.
Looking good, we have the exact same truck. Get a Crespo wing for the truck they look sick!
Are you going to c notch it?
Don't need to.
Really ?
@@AaronLTX-vs1tk Clears just fine.
Shaneman20 is this on all nnbs?
@@AaronLTX-vs1tk OBS. 2014 truck with cast control arms.
Yes you ruined what was a great stock Silverado ! What are you thinking Dude !
What am I thinking? I do what I want. My truck, my money.
@@shaneman20 Bub I would not let you near my new 2018 " STOCK " Silverado 4By4
thunder bolt fuck you. It’s his truck his money and plus why would he be near your shitty truck. He lowered his 4x4 and next is his supercharger. Then some radials.
Looks sick man! Fuck the haters
Awesome, sir!
Just ruined your truck
