The 77 cents a pound turkey got my attention! I make my dog's food instead of buying commercial (low quality) dog food. I use chicken or turkey for the main protein source, along with whatever organ meats I can find (esp. beef heart). I paid $2.30 per pound last month for boneless, skinless chicken thighs for his food, so buying up turkeys will save some bucks!
I cook them in a huge 90 year old pressure cooker that belonged to my mom. The turkey comes out flavorful and moist, but not browned. However, if I take the fully cooked turkey breast with skin and broil it in my toaster oven, it turns out great, or I cut up the cooked meat for future recipes and freeze it.

Sad but true. I can't remember the last time someone spoke those words to me, it's been years.
My husband of 14 years abandoned me in 2015, and my family in Texas stopped having anything to do with me in 2016. My brother says that I'm "dead to him".

I just saw the most beautiful thing ever! Not only did I jump up and run to Aldi’s but I also stopped at Costco and guess what I saw!!?? The Deal Guy videos being played on most of the display TVs!!! I felt like a proud sister seeing her brother graduate college! ❤❤❤
I would have squealed out loud if I walked into Costco and saw Matt's smiling face on the big screens! That would be indication for me that I'm in the right place. ☺

I discovered Sister Schuberts rolls when I had a Sunday School teacher that said they were a source of sin for her. Several women raised their hands and asked where she got hers. Those rolls are delicious!

The sweet potato casserole is so good it has become a staple side dish for our holiday gatherings. It's always heavily requested. We have to stock up because they are only available a few times a year.
Grandmother comment about the brandy was sooo funny. Thanks for these great tips. It REALLY helps save time and energy.

Those "mini pancakes" in Denmark are called aebleskivers. My grandmother was Danish and she made these. I have an aebleskiver pan as well as many of my relatives and I make these also. I can't imagine that the store bought would be anywhere near as good as homemade. We tear them open and put butter and sugar in the center. They are so good! They are traditional at Christmas time.

That GF cheesecake is fabulous! Even if you don't have to be gluten free.
When making a pumpkin pie with Libby’s pumpkin, add an extra teaspoon of cinnamon. It will change your view of pumpkin pie.
You're right, more spice is better! My mom always doubled the spices, but I like 1.5x. 💜

The Butterball smoked turkey shouldn’t be ignored! All you do is heat it through for moist turkey with a light smoke flavor. I always buy two so we can enjoy it over the summer for sandwiches!!
I've made french toast with the chocolate chip brioche...it's FANTASTIC!
I got the heater last year. I used it all winter with no problems and it's still going strong. It's more than enough for a small room and can take the chill off a larger one.
When Matt showed the Butterball turkey (0:16) to the right I saw the smoked turkeys. They are outstanding-fully cooked and absolutely delicious.
I got the heated blanket for my dog . She loves it

My daughter found the foldable steps at her store (southern Indiana) and shipped one to me for my 18 year old cat. The cat wouldn't use any other steps prior to this so I was skeptical but I'm glad to say it was worth the price!!

Just stopped at one near work, half of the Advent calendars are sold out, but they still had cheese and luxury chocolate, along with the little chocolate ones we give the kids to help track the days

We purchased pumpkin pies from Costco two years in a row. Within 48 hours, both began to mold. This year, I make the pumpkin pie or no pumpkin pie at all.
Did you return them and get your money back? That's way too soon to mold/go bad...😢
@ I tried to get my husband to do that both times (I am disabled). I believe he returned one of them.

I always wanted a stand mixer (too much money) until I bought one of these little cordless mixers. Now it's so easy and convenient. It's all I need. Just stick it in the cake mix for two minutes and shove it back into the drawer.😊

Seriously! I think Matt should be nominated as "America's Dad" now that we no longer have dear Bob Saget. I think children instinctively know good people, and they are drawn to them.
Is anyone else reminded of the late Bob Saget when they enjoy Matt's Dad jokes? I loved Bob, and I remember watching him on "America's Funniest Videos", and how my little boy and his young cousins were crazy about him and laughed at every goofy joke.
Yes, I am aware that Saget did very "adult" humor in his stand-up shows, but that was for an adult audience. He never did that humor for children.

I think Legos are budget friendly, if you consider how durable a toy they are, and how diverse play can be with them. We've had a bucket of Legos in our family for almost twenty-five years now; everyone has played with them, still plays with them, and they still look brand new.

If I lived nearby, I'd do it for free! When my son was little, I wanted to be home with him so I started a sewing/alterations business out of my house. My favorite jobs were making costumes for stage productions. Hemming a skirt is a quick, easy job. Of course, I'd have to make Mara some of my handmade silk origami beaded butterfly hair clips to go with it.
I need to rent some grandchildren since I can never have my own, any kids out there that need a fun but weird grandmother who raises goats on a 20 acre ranch (with miles of dirt bike trails to have fun on) and makes friends with wild ravens?🤪

I get coffee mugs at the Goodwill cause my husband is good at chipping and breaking. The dress section always has prom type dresses good for play costumes.

I've been waiting all year to see if the wine advent calendar would return. It's been perfect for a single glass, or better yet, for recipes when you only need a little, and don't want to open a whole full sized bottle. Love it.

I got those storage crates at the Dollar Tree back when they were $1.00. It's a little smaller. I never thought of using them in the trunk for running into Aldi.
