The gray dealers started the rumors and have perpetuated the rumors. Not Rolex. They don’t get a dollar from the high prices the grey dealers markup. Oh, why wait just get the Ferrari. 🍻
I have said for months, the reason there are less Pepsi for sale is that people who have been waiting are not selling, and Rolex have released 3 new GMT models in the last 3 years, makes sense that these new models take priority over existing models for now.
I think there would just be too many models/ iterations of the GMT-II if they did a Coke without retiring at least one other model. There are already so many, and to add another....?
I totally agree with you, i talked with my AD a month ago, and they said to me that there is no chance that Rolex would discontinue Pepsi, because it is one of their most iconic watch
@@mdinhlam sure and in 2007 they discontinued the Pepsi for 7 years to bring it back as a WG model. Then it took another 4 years to bring back the steel model. The narrative of ‚they won’t discontinue the Pepsi‘ just doesn’t work out. At least with the given arguments
It’s not impossible that they will discon Pepsi. Talks about a new Coke(red and black) coming so I will not be surprised that they discon the steel Pepsi while keeping the white gold blue dial Pepsi and giving the fans a brand new Coke to revitalised the collection
So if Rolex decides to bring back the coke then they should be prepared an have an abundance of these cokes before they come out so they’re won’t be a high demand an it will keep the secondary market down a little
Great video; you are right about your assessment. I have been waiting for my Pepsi GMT for about 3 years now, and I hope this year is the lucky one; it will be perfect for me to celebrate a milestone event in my career. On another point, I just bought a Panerai reference 1404 Luna Rossa, a fascinating piece because it is a Panerai 40 mm GMT with a stunning blue dial. Keep up the excellent work, and good luck in the hunt for that Patek. Best regards
I spoke to many AD’s about this and I believe it will be discontinued. All said there is very spotty supply. Also, my AD unexpectedly offered my a meteorite Pepsi - that has only happened once before, just 1 month before they discontinued another model
I think the rumours are spread by grey market dealers. A mini bull run with speculators losing out. Rolex has lost ability to produce most iconic watch? When you can buy replicas from China without these production issues?
This is Rolex we are talking about. They will never do what people want. Pepsi will continue to live on and instead, some funky looking model will be released (ex. palm, celebration, jigsaw) where everyone will initially cringe and suddenly change their thoughts and say "this is it!" 7 months down the line when no one is even thinking about it, they are just going to throw in a Coke for no reason.
It’s pump and dump season for the dealers. If it’s going to be discontinued, dealers will not unload the Pepsi in troves of 3 to 5 pieces per sales posts. Dealers will buy Pepsi after Watches and Wonders after its non discontinuation. It’s a win win for them since a lame rumour makes them thousands per watch, and buy back at a Lower price if it doesn’t discontinue. Last but not least, discontinuing a reference does not push its price up anymore. Just look at Daytona John mayor. It just drops lower down to before discontinuation. Your money your call. Good luck!
Rolex is the master at controlling the flow of watches in order to stoke FOMO. Possibly they will pull back (not discontinue) the Pepsi in 2024, replace it with another combination (not the Coke since everyone wants it now), and slip in the coke at year end or next year.
Even if they seize the production of Pepsi, just remember what happened to Nautilus and John Mayern Daytona after discontinuation - THE PRICE PLUMMETED! So, don't be a crayon eater - don't buy the disco!
Colours running on the blue/red bezel is the main issue with a suggested 7/10 not passing QC. Coke most likely to be the evolution of the model and increased production on the BLNR/CHNR/VTNR options
I'd pass on the Nautilus to be honest, and same with any Royal Oak - they're overhyped scratch magnets. You breathe on the watch, and it gets scratched!
I don’t think that Rolex would discontinue the BLRO either but my AD has not received one since June of 2023. Unless of course, they are lying to me but I’ve been a long time customer and can’t see them playing games with me at this point.
watching this after watches and wonder 2024 is even more impressive...you where pretty much a lone voice on this one. You make so much sense and you a bang on the money. I am going to be chasing my dealer EVERY month
I am turning 40 soon too , I am thinking to add my first Patek sport model but leaning more towards 5168g green rather than a nautilus , I feel it’s a special piece but can’t go wrong with any one
Pepsi is the only bezel with blue on it. The rest of the line have a black colour (black green, black blue, black grey, black chocolate). From manufacturing stand point of view, it is more cost saving to discontinue it and introduce black and red…
@@grammarboy1318it is from the point of view that, they created green, blue, grey, chocolate colour first and the second colour with black (black can overlap the first colour easily). To create a blue on top of the red is challenging as compare to putting a black on the red. Haha hope it make sense to you
Really hope they don’t discontinue it. I recently turned down a BLNR in December because I truly only want the BLRO from the GMT line. So far I’ve been waiting 7months since first requested.
Absolutely no way they are going to get rid of it. It's as if Porsche decided to get rid of the 911 because they had a hard time with a batch of paint jobs. People need to be realistic. All dealers are hoarding them just in case they DO get discontinued, but they wont, not for a while.
Is is easier to overlap the base colour (green, blue, chocolate, grey) as compare to creating a blue on top of red. Rolex created the base colour first and overlap them with black in all the model except Pepsi (Pepsi base colour is red as you can see when you shine UV on it). It is easier to put black on top of the red than blue on top of red..
Sorry but Pepsi is far more desirable than any Coke new reference only because of the blue color.Pepsi will became the impossible watch for maybe 3 to 5 years
Call me crazy, but here’s what I think they’re gonna do: Discontinue the Pepsi, and launch the new Coke, but, in replacement of the “Lefty” Sprite…ie, the Sprite also gets discontinued, and they do the Coke as the new Lefty option
Who’s spreading the rumors…the speculators and grey market dealers…wonder why?
Influencers and social media too … to create buzz and more traffic on their channels
ADs as well, due to the lack of supply (near zero) over the past 9 month.

What did they say about the OP41 turquoise?
They didn’t see it coming, I guess
@@SpilkersKompassLol the OP is no comparison to the Pepsi

Watch > Car
Pepsi will be discontinued. 126710LN is coming👍 Cheers from Switzerland

VERY TRUE, since the rumor spread out NEVER believe it!
Rolex isn’t playing anyone. Rolex very rarely comments on anything.
makes more sense to discontinue the sprite and reintroduce the black bezel in my opinion

No chance the discontinue the Pepsi. Grey dealers have too many in stock and trying the price back up! Get the 5712/1A picked my up for $49800 AUD
So what it if does. They re release in a new reference anyway😂
