Recordings are always overwriting but if you go into the camera screen it’ll give you options to save. Most of these units normally have a few resolutions to save space. I don’t believe these types of units have reversing lines as they’re designed for capture and not as a parking aid.
I'm having issues with the device not switching the maps from day to dark automatically unless I manyally go into my android auto settings and select the one I want. Also the pinhole microphone is trash forcphone calls especially once you drive on the highway. Everything else I like. I have yet to use the backup camera.
I only tested android auto briefly and hated it compared to CarPlay so don’t have much experience of it, best to contact lamtto for support on the dimming issue. As for the mic, that’s probably the case on most aftermarket head units, unless the microphone is close to you it won’t be much good.
Hi! Thanks for the review. Would you choose this one instead of RC13? I've seen you have tried that one too and I'm not really sure if the only difference is the size. Many thanks!
How do you start an Emernecy Video? How many minutes back it records? Can i cange the resolution of the video? Has the back camera parking lines? Does it also record the back video?
Great review. Which one would you personally go for, this one or the Eonon unit, they both look very similar? Which would you say has the best software and smoothness of use? Thanks for the help.
They’re both about the same for most things but I’d probably just pick this one as I prefer the custom icons a little better on this one. Speed wise they’re both almost identical and all functions work identical.
I am having trouble setting up my RC14 on my 2011 Lexus RX350. I have it connected the RC14 to the cars cigarette lighter power port using the supplied USB cable/power plug. The RC14 links to my iPhone for map, contacts and music which indicates the Blue tooth is working. But I I can't get the unit to provide verbal turn by turn directions. The car audio has a USB outlet (input?) which I have used in the past for playing music and map from my iPhone through my autos sound system. The Blue tooth connection also works. Anyone have any ideas? Are there any more detailed instructions available online from the manufacturer or support group. I haven't been able to find any contact information.
If your car doesn’t connect via Bluetooth to the rc14 the you’ll need to use the aux cable, the usb port in your car was tethering your phone to the car therefore it sounds like you haven’t been using Bluetooth.
I used android auto once and hated it, can’t believe how bad it is compared to CarPlay, but to answer your question any apps installed on your phone should show up automatically and if not you may have an option in your settings (I know you do on CarPlay) where you can hide or show compatible apps.
Mine did the same thing, think hard wiring would be the only way to make sure it remembers as it doesn’t lose power but not 100% sure because I didn’t pay too much attention as I ran it in CarPlay mode all the time.

Hi, Is the lighter USB charging facility type C? otherwise, I'll prob need a lighter adapter with fast charge.
Shown in the video
It is USB-C... I'm not sure why he wouldn't mention that.

The wider aspect ratio is easier to place in the car, the downside of the other one is it blocks more of the road view when mounted to the windscreen
@@MATechRUclips Thank you. But in the inside. Both are the same right?
I have mine connected via aux and it has popping/static sound coming through. How do I fix that?
Check your cable, aux shouldn’t have any interference as it’s using a hard wired cable so the only point of interference will be the cable itself.
It's RF interference. Google ferrite collar. You can just wrap the cable through the collar, and it will eliminate that.
@@Blowncaraudio thank you so much!
@MamaNative you're welcome!

Hi there
Can I connect the dash cam to my phone? In this version and the rc06 ? I hope i can
You can’t do that on any of these types of screens

Can MP3 files be loaded on the SD Card and it plays music that way?
Never tried that

I use android auto, how do I get spotify to show up on it?

Did it work with Samsung S series mobiles
I’ve not tested with android on this unit but any device that supports android auto should work with it.
@@MATechRUclips can you please tell me about ram capacity
does it work whit an older android version, i have android 9 on my phone
That will depend on android auto compatibility, if it’s officially supported then it will work.
I don’t use android so can’t personally test
Mine has an issue where the date and time keeps resetting after the car is turned off and turned back on.

My does the same thing. Frustrating!!!
Does it drain the battery when off?
It switches off with ignition when using the 12V power cord.
so this is newer and better than the rc06?
Basically, yes.
Hi
Why my mirroring is not working
Disconnect from CarPlay first
How is the camera at night?
Performed okay, you will get some glare off the windscreen as you do with all dash cams that are a distance away from the glass, but nothing crazy.
@@MATechRUclips thank you!
@@MATechRUclips You can get a lens to put on the camera to avoid the glare.
