My AFP requires us to fill up the truck before we return to the yard before we get off. That way we only have to fill up at the end of our shift.
Mine doesn’t you just fuel when necessary, me I do it usually in the beginning of my shift.
Our freight partner doesn’t worry about what time you get to the yard as long as you get to the first stop on time. Most of our first stops are within 15 mins from the yard
