I just received mine today, and was so very excited and sadly it won't even Power On. Oh the dreaded technical support phone calls and RMA and no working printer form months. Sad face. Sigh. UPDATE: Contacted Creality Customer Support and was up and running in a few minutes. Side mounted voltage switch was 220Volt from factory and needed to be switched to USA 120V mains. Great printer so far.
@@gabresler yes, I failed to follow the instructions but it was too easy to miss. The need a bit more detail on that switch location as it is not in typical location. Chatted online with customer support and they got me up and running quickly. Great printer so far, has been through about 5 spools of filament with very minimal issues.
@@wildbear77 yeah it's pretty emotional when it's a brick on arrival, but a little flick of a switch and you are in business. Glad you got up and running.
I just had mine for less than two weeks, then it was not extruding, so checked the gear and it was not moving, took it apart, no debris, checked the gear and it started moving, still not extruding, tried to increase the heating temp and it failed, now I found out I had to replace the heating block hotend!! It is a common issue they have yet to fix. ARUGGHHH!! The sensor in the factory heating block is a little too week, the wires are shorting out due to the increasing of heat. It happen when I went from PLA to ABS, if I had kept using PLA it might not have happen since it never had to increase temperature.
i had it for 3 days, 4 prints and then endlesss clogs... i have given up on it. i ordered the upgrade pack and new hotends, but all will only arrive in september. in fact the upgrade kit form craality will only be shipped on the 21st September "with all other orders" - i really do not recommend this printer and i have ben printing for 13 years. I may still get the X1C and shelve this one for one day... Update: STILL NOT RECEIVED NEW PARTS FROM CREATLITY. I BIUGHT THE X1C AND THIS IS A STAND FOR SOME.MODELS I PRINTED
The first release k1 had problems. Now they fixed issues. Standard k1 is on third release now and they also release k1c which fixed everything and even add features what community have asked. K1c it's a last release of k1 series. Next one will be k2 released this summer with multi colour printing
Great video as always. I have been curious about the K1, specifically the K1 max for the larger print volume. I did get the P1S with the AMS so I am spoiled a little now. I am waiting to see if they come out with a large volume P1 series.
@@LocalDiscordCatgirlyeah I noticed the bed temp for that file is 45°C, I've always used 60°C for my printers. When I receive my K1 later this week I'm gonna try this same test print but set it to 60°C and see if it still comes out stringy.
@@tiffnie46552 haha oh I did, thanks! Turns out the ribbon cable wasn’t mounted properly to the actual male end of the cable. Whole thing had to be returned!
Bruh u forgot to put some gloo on the bed that's why it was loose U can find a note on top of the bed that said need to put some gloo before u printer anything ..2023 model from creality still using gloo 😅 over all it's a good printer tho
how much they paid you to even recommend this print.the first layer is as faulty as it gets..so either you dont know a think about printing or you had to say something good for the printer

Did you fix it? Was it the 230-115v thing?

I really like your format of reviewing, you really take your time wich i like
Love mine
uncheck the calibration check mark -i think that is wat forces the printer to do input shaper end bed leveling befor printing

Did you glue the print bed?
So it doesn’t come with filament?
gawdddamn, is it really take so much time for self inspect?
i got mine an got problens now got to send back won't go through selfcheck keeps rebooting
Mine won’t turn on 😢
First layer looks too far away. Suppose to be one solid, kind of reflective with PLA, layer
I figure maybe a little hotter bed and nozzle could bind the lines together a bit more.

Can you tell me why my LCD screen won’t power on when I plug it in?? Just purchased on and it was BRAND NEW and I can’t get the screen to boot.
Check that you don’t have a loose connection.

I think I’ve just wasted £500 had it 2 months just keeps jamming, I’ve made 3 items out of 16 failures.
You could have waited to creality release fixed K1 (fixed k1 has red color nozzle silicone
@ had a refund and now I’ve got a Anycubic combo with no problems or issues.

The First layer cause is a firmware bug, Just click on update firmware to solve this
Skill issue tbh
No problems at all with my first layer.
I think it does that to insure no movement during a print. Works for me.
Your not very patient.
