I have no idea how u guys expect me to live without this podcast, honestly. I need my dosage of Marshalls sageness and Stan staness 😫😫
I always feel shy to comment heh but I must say you two make such excellent podcasts, so excited to listen this one! Thank you Stan and Marshall!☕🦔
Thanks for listening!
@@Draftsmen here is a pitch for Stan and Marshall: Keep doing these artist interviews in whatever schedule possible. They are extremely valuable. Put some fun commentary about interesting books and art stuff from today and the past (and the future) inbetween those and you have a season 4 Draftsmen podcast. I can have, pls? *puppy eyes*
@@Draftsmen Can you do an interview with Yuko Shimizu? pls pls pls😭
Almost 2 hours!? You guys are spoiling us with these last few. Were that you "take no prisoners" style rockstars, this would be a fine encore indeed! 🤘🤩😊👍
We don't want to disappoint
I always thought Transporter 2 had better fights, now I know why hahah awesome episode! this is gonna be one of those episodes I go back everytime to learn something, love it!
Yes!! The episode I'm been waiting since the theme of Story start popping out of Marshall's opera mouth.
Next week we've got a storytelling episode!
@@charnich awesome! i can't wait :D
@@charnich Wait wait, wait wait wait!! Are you telling me this was all a preview?!!! You guys are the best!!!
I love how much of this is exploring the nuances of storytelling as well as storyboarding. The comic book world throws you down the avenues of so many practices and techniques that often do apply to other Industries. It's kind of ridiculous that you can learn like that but I do love that about the process itself.
I rarely comment on RUclips but I enjoyed this episode so much I just had to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it and really enjoyed the group chat a repour between everyone. Fun, funny and informative. Good job to everyone involved.
Can you imagine it? My home task today at film school is to make a storyboard.
Yes finally about storyboarding! 😍😍
Draftsman is one of the most valuable free resources to artists of all levels. Thank you Stan and Marshall for all of the insight and information you provide. I'm planning a road trip and this will be my playlist for most of it. Job Well done!
You know, I've would've loved a small fourth season with just interviews. Like no more than 10 episodes, to get the "inside of the industry" view of the topics you've already talked about or things people wanna know. Either the procces, how to get certain jobs etc.
We're looking at turning this channel into an art interview channel. We just can't promise weekly episodes.
@@Draftsmen Doooooo itttttttttttt
@@Draftsmen really!! that's amazing!! you made my day with this
@@Gump387 dew it
This might be one of the most inspiring episodes! Great job as always
I would REALLY love for Dan to elaborate more on how he did the Kim Jung Gi style! Thank you so much for sharing such a great advice.
This was easily one of my favorite episodes. Just packed with fun anecdotes, useful information, advice galore. Thanks to all four of you!
Ricky Gervais Show is the most hilarious thing ever put on television, Karl pilkington is so damn funny. The fact you worked on it is such a privilege, ty for the masterpiece!
02:53 Charlie. As always nice memediting.
That was a Carrie gag, she's an editing all-star
@@charnich My bad, nice work Carrie.
perfect timing! I was just about to storyboard myself. 😍🙏
What a great episode! Especially for animators and people with ideas
just as my storyboard final coming up
OMG I'm early this time. Love watching and listening to this show while I am relaxing and taking breaks
this has to be one of the best discussions on draftsmen ever.
looking forward to the story telling episode mentoined in the previous episode!
I just watched this all the way through twice now.
Thanks, really good episode!
O, its gonna be interesing - as always though) Hope to learn something new
Love the show)
Best episode this season
Great episode!!!
Great show. If there is to be a part two I would love them both to have individual interviews. A couple of times they cut each other off at important points.
oh damn this was an awesome episode, lots of useful info and I did laugh a lot
Proko gonna have to find a new catch line besides 'you're old'. Proko passed the Logan's Run carousal age requirement quite some time ago.
I liked this alot.
I love this
Wish you would do a storyboarding course would pay for that in a heartbeat
this episode was great
I wish that Brian and Dan had there own episodes
I 🧡 Dan Fraga.
really good
It was valuable.
Just the conversation about the shape of the heads is enough ... here you have your like draftsmen
Fragaboom!
LMAO I LOVED RJ Berger hahahhahaha
This is a great watch but I wish they got into why they choose shots, and the emotional reaction the viewer gets from each shot, how to convey emotion etc.
Intro hall-of-famer
french horns sum up stan very well
Wait I thought the last podcast was the last episode
Nope, we just wanted to give everyone a heads up that this is our last season. The last episode will air in December during the 12 Days of Proko.
Man, I love ATL lol.
hello stan
Hi, comicsgate!
Hi!
This podcast was immensely helpful although I wouldve appreciated them for getting a morr diverse selection of storyboarders such as animated television boards fir example because they completely different
:D!
1:27:00
9:50 min. Well actuuuuuuuallyyyy: Liefeld is a German name and the correct German pronunciation would be „Leefeld“
Ps: I know that he pronounces it in an „Americanized“ way.
32:13
This joke about Marshal's age is getting old :D
“Marshall, when were you born?”
“Hmm… I think about 60.”
I wanna mention something before I watch the podcast. I found out it was released because I visited Proko website. But here no notifications even though I have the bell selected. Does not EVER apear in my feed either. RUclips does NOT like this channel one bit.
His story reall yis Ferrest Gump like lol
Comics are the best Medium because you can do ANYTHING and comic book artist are the best artist
Was Stan out of his comfort zone here? It seems like he was lost in the world of storyboard art and film animation etc
Pre-Liefeld.....
Why is everyone referenced in this podcast male? Everyone these gentlemen worked with in the industry are all men, it seemed. Is this just how this industry works?
No, animation especially has wonderful representation with women. WIA is a great organization.
Historically the career was white male only, they just have trouble realizing. WIA is awesome representation for women, like another commenter said.
Typical
