What did you think of The Culture Code?
How comment is added 7 hours ago if video was added 40 mins ago 0.0
how is Todorovic and wher can i fing him
Gonna read it now after watching this episode
I’m a simple man - I see draftsmen and i neglect all responsibilities and listen
I listen while drawing
Thats resistance!
Man I miss you guys, I could listen to you two talk forever! I miss your book reviews, your artistic insights. A new episode of this podcast was always the highlight of my day.
You guys should continue this podcast. The Art community needs you now more than ever!
I really wish they would! I occasionally rewatch some episodes, but I wish they would do more. I don't care what they talk about, I just want to hear them talk about it.
Did they stop for a reson or it's just not possible to make it for some reason anymore?
@@NoName-ym5zj I think they felt like they were repeating themselves at that point. If there was more to it I don't really know.
I love how marshal is always working on the perspective course , it’s gonna be an epic course even if it takes 20 more years lol great video Stan and Marshall
this podcast is what inspired me to better myself and inspire me to be an artist, thank you guys
Can’t wait for the perspective course to come out!
Honestly just talk and repeat everything forever you guys will drop nuggets along the way we never knew we needed! Thanks for comin back!
oh boy…. I have missed this show so much :)
Thank you for bringing this back. I love being able to don the rubber boots of creative wisdom that the two of you exude as I wade through the quagmire of mondanity that is my everyday life at this point. Every buoyant morsal of knowledge is like the breath that fills the flotation device of my artistic future.
Draftsmen and Proko are just pure gold man. Thankyou for coming back!
the draftsmen podcast makes me so happy 🙏🙏🥲🥲
I'm so glad the Draftsmen podcast is back because I only found it recently this year, going through all the previous episodes in sadness that there wouldn't be any more. But here we are! I love all the book recommendations. Got a long list to go through:) Thank you
Culture code dictates that I must like the video
You must!
For what it's worth, I'm here 100% for the banter :D
Most authentic, fun and insightful art podcast I know. Thank you guys!
so glad to have more episodes, you guys can just naturally make a fun show
Hurray for Marshall and Stan! I'm feeling good. Keep it up. I love the creative banter.
AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!! I missed you guys so much! I don't know whether to grab a coffee or a pencil!
I missed you both so much!
Amazing. Please dont leave us draftsman!!!
This podcast is my greatest discovery of the year, gives me so much value and fun! :D
I am from the future , 2077 to be exact, and still waiting for the promised perspective course that never arrived
seriously good nuggets of information here
An unexpected but pleasant surprise.
New draftsmen! Lets goooo
i listening u when i draw, and + learning english when listening u , so its kinda win win win :D
Please come back there are so many things you two can talk about/people you can interview/ industries and fields of interest to be explored
i love ur guys talking so much! im so glad draftsmen released these
It was a pretty good episode and gave me a lot of ideas on team building etc 👀
A future topic I would love to hear from you guys is how ai currently is convincing beginners to not even try or pursue their passion and dream careers because they think everything they do will be worthless in the future. Its quite the depressing thought but its hard for me to know what to tell a student like that.
I've just started taking drawing seriously, not saying this isn't an issue but I think if you really want it you'll do it 🤔 there are always people who drop out (in any industry/profession/hobby).. maybe ai is just an excuse for that group of people?
i am feeling that at this moment...
@@anima6035 not really, it's really depressing for real genuine hardworking beginners
at 11:30 I thought "wow they don't usually take this long" but then at 12:10 Stan shot Marshall point blank, and I'm strapped in for the ride now
I am just smiling all throughout this podcast!
Love this episode!!
I am excited for more episodes!
Great that you guys are back! :)
Omg this makes me so happy!
Lovley editing on this one
great podcast, great people
Guys, I have a request for topic of a podcast, please!
I had a wrist injury a year ago, and still on recovery, De Quervain syndrome, in the same time on the both hands, I used to draw both. So the topic is how to stay focused and don’t lose skills when you faced this kind of situation, while you got yourself on so long deprivation. I mean this is necessary, because I’m not afraid of losing drawing skills, lines and etc, I mean the real one, about the “eye” on things, composition etc. and ofc hope, because that’s what give you power to force yourself to recover faster. Thank you, love.
I missed those intros 😆 thank you for coming back 🙏🏻 Perspective course by 2026 🤣🙌🏻
Are those Proko brand sketchbooks on the table?
They are! We sell them at live events we go to like Lightbox. We went through a LOT of revisions to get the right paper and we're really proud of them.
the awkward intros are the best
I thought Draftsmen had finished forever? I'm glad to see it's back.
My goal in life is for one day my art be acknowledge by stan and marshal, I’ll practice everyday until that happens!
I have no idea how a guy like Marshall is able to tolerate Stan's attitude
What you speak about reminds me of the values in Scrum.
Hey, MORE!
41:20 Proko is a great teacher but he's a bit too quick to assume the other teachers in the experiment are bad because they didn't challenge the test. Cognitive Dissonance enforces your beliefs even when evidence seem to contradict them, and that happens to everyone on an unconscious level. He thinks that he wouldn't fall for the lie because he benefits from hindsight.
i think there was a different prespective approach there as well . Stan seeing the story from a student perspective, while i think the book is taking the teachers perspective. so is not '' if no one believes in your you wont succeed'' rather ''you have to believe in the people around you to promote actual success'' 🤔
Marshall, I don't care if the perspective course takes a while to complete, I'll do it nonetheless
Just to set the record straight (in my opinion,) the banter is great... I'm just wondering what kind of substance you guys get tuned up on before each podcast.... either that or i just get too tuned up before listening... i'm gunna have to go watch the drugs episode again. 🙄😂
Well, I realize why one of my clubs kinda sucks. Every time I voice my thoughts as someone who has been in the club for 4 years I feel judged or even ignored by fellow seniors. I feel like I get along better with my juniors because they don't take everything so seriously. Whenever someone suggests something new, the leader will shoot it down unless he's had the same idea. So safety and risk taking are both very weak in our group. It's miserable to be a part of a club where you're not in the main clique and you're painfully aware of it.
I usually listen to Draftsmen on Podcasts. Will this one be uploaded? Can‘t find it atm 😢
It should be up soon!
Is that Stephen Bauman's painting at Stan's back
try magnesium for your back - it can help.
It’s a natural muscle relaxant. The problem may be that you are constantly, unconsciously tensing your back, so it never heals.
Now it's three months passed, and no more Draftsmen Podcast?
We're making episodes when we feel there's something really worth talking about. We're both busy guys and wouldn't want to phone it in ever, talking about something we don't care about.
There will be more here eventually but no promises on when.
It also makes a difference when a teacher or an aide perceives a child is going to be difficult. The bias definitely occurs.
Hey guys!
I want to know more about how an artist build his artistic approach, and how to write an artistic statement, it would be instructive to hear it from you. Thanks
I know this topic was random as hell but I swear I gotta use all of the 3 elements at my uni group for the finals
Could you guys do an episode about AI and its probable impact on the future of art?
Oh yes sir. Stan in the end -middle you stopped your giggling and childish stance, glad that happened. Anyway always always, never disappointing, fun podcast. Cheers
True story i think i sketched Marshall looking off to the right while watching this pod cast, now that i look at it I'm wondering that the man is looking to the left, what's up with that? Is it some condition?
i thought the podcast ended again lol
Omg omg omg 😍
So are you guys back or not? You're playing with my emotions.
We're making episodes as we find things that we really want to talk about. We won't guarantee full seasons but we enjoy talking about art and will share them here whenever we do!
@@Draftsmen we miss you ❤😢 but you gotta do what you gotta do! ✌️
I don't know if it's just me but Marshall really looks like Odin from GoW Ragnarok
How am I just now learning about Kim Jung Gi
👍
Marshall's perspective course vs. GTA 6
Re to 40.08 Sound like the teachers needed some kind of equity training.
13:39 *cultivar
god those chairs
It's part of the aesthetic
Those chairs look like they belong in an art studio; they're a staple at this point!
"We have some of the worst banter of any podcast that I know of"
THAT'S WHERE YOU'RE WRONG BUDDY. jk tho you guys are funny it's nice to listen to you talk whether it's art related stuff or not.
Apple ASMR
"But they're dumber" 😂
Lol I think the more important part of the teacher experiment is that children who are arbitrarily deemed to be less likely to succeed by some arbitrary point in the future are given less attention
Stan doesn’t even know what a yoke is? Has he ever heard of an animal called an ox? For a guy that acts like he knows everything he should stop talking from time to time and just listen. 🤔
Walter White and Jesse Pinkman podcast
A lot less views and coms for this ep, did everyone quit art because of AI? lol..
Yeah I still have huge trouble coping with this and I hate being an artist right now. Can't even enjoy this great podcast like normal.
If I were a digital artist, I would take on Photoshop skills to tweak existing AI pieces (as an editor of sorts), but there's new programs being designed on a near weekly basis, not sure how long the market will remain for that niche role. There's also physical art, which AI isn't' threatening just yet. You could try with that, just suggestions
Hey Folks, the talk is fun, and you mention the author's name briefly in the video. However, please WRITE THE AUTHOR'S NAME somewhere in your RUclips description. Luckily it pops up pretty fast in a Google search, but the writer's name isn't here.
covid? its nearly 2023...when was this recorded?
Is Skelly giving birth to Bob Ross?
Are we going to have a video every month or two? This is a little ridiculous, considering how we were able to get an episode or two every month before.
Approx 16 mins of banter -c',mon guys!
I just watched the Intro and i have one thing to say: NO STAN YOU MAKING EVERYTHING ARKWARD ALL THE TIME. You assuming things that Marshall didn't even had in mind. But yeah right, Marshall is the idot like always right Stan? You are a walking Dunning Krueger Effect. That's all i have to say. You making it arkward and not easy to watch and you putting Marshall in a weird position. You are very insecure and it shines ALWAYS. Your only form of humor is making other people feel bad. Now i will continue to watch. Thanks
I just learned that Jung-gi died. Caught me off guard :(
The whole Harvard Test discussion proves that Stan has a very hard time listening.
The flow of conversation and energy is a bit off here. Just firing back and forth, but didn't progress further or deeper, only tension. I think maybe you both need to see couples therapy. Stan's attitude is getting worse and worse over the years. His energy is like a spoiled teenager here. He's getting more and more disrespectful towards Marshal, smug, doesn't listen, combative and full of himself. And what is worse, his crew is enabling him. And Marshal getting more and more sarcastic and belittling towards Stan. I don't know the full story behind the scene or whatever resentments builds over the years. But maybe consider couples therapy? Just saying..
I watched the whole Episode now and have to say this was one of the worst. Not much information and Stan makes everything Marshall says a joke without even listening to the end. Stan also forgot what a Maven is,even we had it in several episodes now. Also the Guy in the Background should just make his job and be quiet. But he supports Stans toxic jokes with a horrible laughter. Marshall is constantly shamed and its very hard to watch. Please change something about this. Change Stan. He the toxic part of this.
Are you stopping because AI killed art?
Is this a podcast about nothing?
