- SNP MP Mhairi Black criticises the decision to pay for the refurbishment of Buckingham Palace when the state pension age has been raised for some women. Some women born between April 1951 and 1960 will not qualify for a pension until the age of 66.
It has sparked protests from Women Against State Pension Inequality (Waspi).

5 years later and the whole country forgot about spending billions on palaces when the queen died. Suddenly she was the greatest servant in the History of the British empire. Suddenly she served 2,5 billion people was humble and funny, regal and never put a foot wrong. The whole globe mourned her and her never ending “generosity”
Now thats an MP! Its a pity that its very unlikely that anything will change regarding her points despite it being almost impossible to find any holes in her argument!

I don't like the SNP, but Mhairi Black, what a speech. I agreed with every words of it. Why does a country with the 6th largest economy in the world need food banks and soup kitchens for the most poorest and vulnerable in our society. It's a disgrace.

Stop ignoring the fact that many people using food banks are used by people who need to prioritise thier spending . Oh I can't afford to feed my children' they cry but they can afford giant flat screen tvs with every channel available,smoking ,drinking , mobile phones ,are them selves obese. in 2016 the crown estates. owners of Buckingham palace etc paid the treasury 304 million pounds. that's the surplus after paying for all the upkeep of the properties. the pay every year. they are not an expense but an asset. they belong to the monarch in name only. they, the queen atm, do not have the right to sell any of the properties.

Their ancestors literally stole the land of this country and hold it to ransom, giving us a few crumbs with zero scrutiny or accountability, influencing laws and milking the taxpayer to fund dozens of palaces and lives of obscene luxury. She's wrong. If MP's are going to continue to use Westminster then it needs a complete refurbishment. The sewage system was installed in 1888 and it leaks, so it often streams down into the offices underneath the toilets.

I'll put them out in bullet point for you:
1) The palaces are our heritage and we *all* have a duty to care for them.
2) They are our sovereign's home.
3) The Royals give so much away for our country and to our government that any "they can pay for it themselves" is the voice of greedy vandals.
This little girl was thrown by the SNP against Douglas Alexander with the expectation of failure, she was a sacrificial lamb that accidentally got through. She is literally a mistake of an MP.
