  • Mhairi Black is the SNP MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire South.
    She spoke to PoliticsJOE after a session of #PMQs which seemed further detached from reality than usual.

    Just finished watching the Cheese Lady's last PMQ, and I can't think of a stronger contrast than listening to Mhairi. I mean, down even to the antithetical accents, here's a very, very sharp and sane person who is throwing clear, cold water on the glitching automaton and the entire Tory project. And she's quite right to take Labour to task for acting like Tory-Lite in the misguided belief that if they kiss the ring of wretched Thatcher, they'll somehow be more "electable." The only hope is a Progressive Alliance led by the SNP, the Welsh and the English working class. Force Labour to remember Clement Attlee.

    • @sirmeowthelibrarycat
      @sirmeowthelibrarycat Год назад

      😀 Indeed so! Clement Attlee and his Labour Party government did so much to rebuild Britain after the devastation of the Second World War. Today I am reduced almost to tears as I watch all that they achieved being destroyed. Education, Health, and Housing all broken and dismantled on the altar of class hatred by these Tory gangsters in Parliament. Sadly, I have doubts about the willingness of Keir Starmer to emulate the achievements of the 1945 government.

Watching things from my home in Thailand it seems to me that British voters confuse elections for voting in BGT or Strictly. No longer is there anything meaningful said by those who govern because they only care about their social media standing. Until Britain regains voters who use their brains and parliamentarians actually work for those who put them there I will be watching a nation continue to descend into total parody. As Mhairi said there needs to be a revolution and the current crop of self serving egoists sept into the gutter where they belong. The country of my birth is now nothing but a source of bizarre entertainment, economic irrelevance and of ill mannered low rent tourists.
