      That first one for me was hard, and I had to take it apart before even learning how to use it properly hahahah. Is a bit pricey for sure.

    Well done, that is next step ;-) It would be also cool to see the video showing GoPro vs. BMPCC from the same flight.

      Thanks. That's a good idea to shoot GoPro and compare side by side :)

    What I learned from this teardown that I haven’t seen anyone anywhere mention is that the cooler airflow is isolated from the camera internals; so if you get water in the air intake it’s not going to fry the other components.

    • @Bludz
      @Bludz  Год назад

      Depending how much water I would tend to agree.

    Thanks for the work you put into it. I'm looking forward to the next video. Hope this gets out before your kit gets to me. ;-)

      You're welcome mate. Well.... putting the kit together is a lot easier than taking it apart (if you ignore shimming the sensor, lol). I have most parts filmed, just need to film a couple of final sections and then stitch it all together. Hopefully you get yours apart before I release the build guide :P

      Hi. Sorry I have not taken the pro version apart because it is not worth making naked. I don't know if the fan is the same.

    you mentioned the tool kit, 000 philips head and 00 philips head and 2m hex. i need to replace my bmpcc4k ir-cut filter. can you share the detals. what tools do i need for the job?

    • @Bludz
      @Bludz  2 года назад +1

      Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. To remove the uv filter you need a 2.5mm hex driver to remove the outer ring, and a fine philips head for removing the MFT mount components.

  • @EpicWaterLion
    @EpicWaterLion 2 года назад

    Would you mind getting the exact diameter of the uv filter? I am looking for an in camera uv/ir cut filter replacement. And this might be even The safest way to get those measurements, from a professional like you :)

    If I were to disconnect the LCD screen, would Camera Update let me change the firmware version? I'm looking for a way to "downgrade" to 6.1, for its CinemaDNG RAW, but 6.1 doesn't have a driver for the LCD screens on cameras from mid-2019+ (according to Blackmagic on their forum). If removing the LCD won't work, do you think there might be another workaround to get 6.1?

    • @Bludz
      @Bludz  2 года назад

      Have you tried downgrading? Not sure what the issue would be. Upgrading and downgrading doesn't do anything to the screens seperate circuitry. You can update and downgrade without the screen attached, but on FW 7.3 and higher the screen needs to be connected for it to power up.

      After trying to replace the IR cut filter it seems iris circuit is affected. I lose the control

    • @Bludz
      @Bludz  Месяц назад

      That's a shame. Did you take the whole camera apart to get the IR filter out? Other wise how did you get it out. Maybe you didn't plug the IRIS control ribbon back into the sensor, or not properly.

    18:30 what are the two white buttons for on the PCB?

    • @Bludz
      @Bludz  Год назад

      Wow, looks like RUclips stopped notifying me on comments and I have more than a months worth to get through :)
      Those buttons are for the factory to use when building them. One turns it on and off without plugging everything in, the other I can't figure out but I presume they plug something into the pcb and push that to do something.

      @@Bludz thank you for your reply, no worries.
      I bought a bmpcc 4k without a screen and it wasn't working (the green led didn't appear) so I tried to figure out what was wrong, but a week a go i saw they had an update, so it fixed that and now i'm recording with it
      but my next thing is how do i change the resolution and fps wihtout the LCD
      i have an external monitor but it outputs just the clean video without any overlays
      it's for an FPV project, but i'll get the kit sometime later :))

    • @Bludz
      @Bludz  Год назад +1

      @@TudicTudic You need to attach a screen so you can change the settings and have overlays sent over hdmi, it is off by default.

      @@TudicTudic You won't be able to just get a replacement screen unless you still have the flex pcb that connects it to the camera.
