This was insaneeee Thank you guys for having me!
Awesome to see you here man! How was it working with them on S&M²?
Dude, you killed it.
WE LOVE YOU AVI
you was amazing Avi amazing
You crushed it Avi! Seriously, your backing vocals make such a difference. Was hoping we'd get to hear them on Unforgiven also!
James is sounding and looking healthy. I am super proud of you James. \m/
matty i sure hope he stay healthy this time for good and not fall of the wagon again that would be sad i think and end of the band as well
Matty Mart so well here is what i think, James has always been good this whole time they said “he was on rehab” now check why i do think that, i noticed the whole james thing being fake because of that one interview / press conference of Lars with Danny Wimmer (you can find this on the metallica YT channel) that press was the most painful thing i’ve saw as a very big Metallica fan, in that interview everyone in the roomnis just attacking Lars and the band itself for multiple reasons, however, it is all related to business and how Metallica is turning irrelevant to the music industry todays. So “James rehab” might have just be an escape or a break for Metallica’s further shows not selling enough. I respect everybody’s opinion but please before judge watch the Danny Wimmer and Lars interview and analyze things! No matter what i’ll keep following Tallica till the end. It’s just sad to see how things are now for them.
@@cruzwaste4108 Dude, almost every Metallica show for this year was sold out, what are you even talking about, James have been sufering from alcoholism for years, some people just fall for the alcohol over again.
@@cruzwaste4108 just look at pictures of James. From late 2018 all the way through 2019 his face looks puffy (hope that's the right word for it)
I hope they re book the tour to Australia!!!
All Within My Hands Load Edition
Not bad though. Sweet amber and the unnamed feeling can sound very good with a Load style.
Load is a good album. Not a bad thing to me.
I like that Load and Reload era. So I’m pretty satisfied with this 👌🏾
CrimsonAlpha It’s ok not great
... Load Within My Hands?
Seeing James healthy and rocking makes me so happy
Me too❤❤❤
Me also. Alcohol away ... voice perfectly back. Thank god for Metallica ♡♡♡
Give Avi a like here. He deserves it!
Their sound engineer deserves a raise. Goddamnit this sounds so good!
*facts*
Still Life! \m/
This was mixed by Greg Fidelman... he's been mixing for them since Death Magnetic
Jarrod Kane wait, what? What about Big Mick?
@@MatsVederhus he only does sound on tour not at HQ
Love this version!
Me too!!! It’s so good
This acoustic solo is just insane
I think it's better than the original
Besssst
Long live Metallica
Whatever version it is, I'm really happy that 'Tallica is back.
Thanks ash
Exactly! Metallica forever! 🤘🏻
its metallica poser
It's the version they played with the San farancisco symphony orchestra on sm2.
This tune is so ridiculously good. Metallica has gone next level
Sounds great, especially James.
I wish they played the original version live at least once. I really miss the intensity and heaviness of the song and St. Anger songs in general sound much better live.
They kinda did once. They put out a dvd when St. Anger came out where they played the whole album live in their rehearsal space. It’s on RUclips I think.
Dude I've been saying the same thing!! I like this version but the original is heavy as fuck
@@Papa_Ktulu its not same as real live
Favorite album from them. Wanna hear it so bad
Nah I'd prefer to not here James sing Kill 70 times.
Definitely one of my favourite Metallica songs.
The St. Anger album has to be there at the right time in a person's life for the many excellent songs on it to resonate.
It was certainly there to accompany me through a dark period in my life. I love it for that.
Completely agree
Me too, Brother. Most underrated album ever.
hahahaha spoken like a true poser
One quote that resonated to me about St. Anger is that it isn't their worst album but is the Metallica album for the worst day of your life.
The biggest problem with st anger is its production. If had a decent production, the album would be a 6-7 out of 10 instead of a 3~5.
3:16 Kirk stares into your soul
Oh crap
ya bet!
I was hoping someone mentioned that
This may be my favorite rendition of this song I've heard. The sound Kirk got on that solo around the 4:30 mark was great.
Better than the S&M² verision?!
Danny Gordon This one is first, S&M2’s one takes the second place
I always liked the 2007 Bridge School benefit version. He had good power in the pipes then
Can't stop looking at how James' nose bumps into the mic all the time.
I did exactly the same. =)
Haha now I can't either
I noticed that years ago when they switched to these mics.
Hahahaahah shit it is funny when watching it few times
😅😅😅😆😅😅
Def sounds a little different from the original broadcast, not that that’s bad! The updated mix is appreciated, these are great performances
Same pattern at S&M2
This is amazing with orchestra as well
Yea this is badass
This was Greg Fidelman's team remixing the broadcast
Its not just a mix though is it? Its tuning out all errors. Its a bit lame. I love them but we shouldn't let them off the hook.
@@paulmallon9292 yeah i definitely heard some pitch correction in the vocals of the other tracks too... still sounds awesome though!!
Imagine clicking on a notification and disliking it immediately. Why even be subscribed?
That's the life of a 35-year-old virgin hater 😂😂
@@paradigmshiftz7 or maybe a St Anger hater
Maybe it's just the hate i guess.
It's just people trolling because they know some folks will be annoyed by it and comment on it. That's all.
have you seen people on social media? is it any wonder?
seeing the boys back, playing a song from an album that the "jump-on fans" would hate... I'm happy :)
One of my favorite albums
Agreed. Love that it was the first single too from S&M2. Such a deep cut on one of their most hated records.... love it. It’s quite nice too acoustic
Me too!
Album definitely has its problems but it does have some redeeming qualities that get swept under the rug a lot of the time, obviously the production on the drums is horrible but it has some cool riffs. Some people have a problem with the lack of any solos; not me. The lyrics are undoubtedly terrible, this songs lyrics aren’t that bad though.
If they really wanted to piss off the pussy fans, they would have played the original version of All Within My Hands.
Bought Kill Em All when I was 13 been hooked ever since. Seen them 25 times over the years. They sound better than ever!!!!! Especially James!!!
🤘🏻🤘🏻
Like fine wine.
No they don't....
I honestly love this version more than the original, but really wish they found a way to incorporate the "KILL! KILL! KILL! KILLLL!" part.
Nah, the original is better
Singing softly: Kiiiiill kiiiiiiil kiiiiil
Yes Yes 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Arbbym9er Hell no that would suck
Jay Hamilton Taste is different and cannot be argued. Taste should be different or else life would be boring
Jaymz looks great! As a recovering addict myself I gotta give him his due respect for giving recovery another go!
best wishes for your recovery, sir. I respect your openness.
James looks healthier and slimmer. So happy seeing him in this condition. One note about this performance. I finally know how Kirk singing voice sounds like.
I prefer this version than the original, who's with me?
Agreed
it lacks the intensity and heaviness of the original
X2
@Aidan McFarlane this is that version, just without the symphony orchestra
Me!
Glad to hear that James is always good. I'm very happy to see him with Metallica again after rehab! That's what we've all been waiting for, Metallica is here again to kick your ass!!! 🤘🤘🤘
How did someone already dislike this. It literally just came out
Haters gotta hate ..no matter how great
Some people just live sad lives
DeathMetalJedi pardon the pun.. sad but true
@@MrRoundthetwist Omg that pun is *bleeding me*
Antonio Centeno dude? Wtf man nice but you gonna out pun me?? Don’t tread on me like that bro
JAMES LOOKS AMAZING!!!
Damn james, vocal sounds great
Avi is awesome. Honestly I'd love it if Metallica had him do backing vocals in every show
Kirk is like "how can I add wah to this?"
They've reworked this into something special. Shades of Alice In Chains for sure. Nice !
They are dear friends with Jerry and Mike
Sam Loomis they need to have Jerry come on here and do the backup vocals. Alice In Chains and Metallica are my two favorite bands so it would be amazing
Indeed. I hadn't heard the original more than twice and I was wondering when Metallica wrote an Alice in Chains song.
"Where the Wild Things Are" from Reload has that kind of Alice in Chains sound too
Honestly I'm preferring this version over the S&M2 one! Awesome!!!
They know how to make an acoustic version! I wouldn’t mind more covers like blackened 2020
Really good to see Kirk and Rob doing backup vocals on this song, I wouldn't have it any other way. Avi is as always an excellent addition to the lineup. The vocal harmonies in the chorus are a real highlight of this performance.
Love this song!!!! "Love is control.....Die if I let go...."
love that they added a solo into this song, sounds fkn great
5:55 goosebumps. Every time.
I love how they took arguably the worst song on St Anger and transformed it into an awesome acoustic track.
Would love to see them do this with The Unnamed Feeling which was probably the best song on that album.
Worst song stfu
@@larryfreeman389 wut
Man i think it is one of the best songs on the album, I love how agressive and groovy it is
Purify is the worst on St. Anger..followed by Invisible Kid. Honestly, the whole rest of the album is solid and underrated AF
The last few weeks for me haven’t been that good, and I just wanted to say that this band right here, has helped me so much and has been my escape from life and let’s me enjoy something that I really love, and that’s music. Lars is the reason that I wanted to even play the drums, just like to many many other people in the world. And I want others to know for whoever reads this, that whatever you’re going through, whatever is happening in your life right now, keep your head up and stay strong, and keep rocking to this kick ass fucking band🤘🤘
Country music with metal drums. I like it.
Reworking this song is one of the greatest things Metallica had done in the past 20 years.
Fell in love with this version of this song once again
The BEST version of this song!
Love and respect entire metallica...from india💗💗💗♥♥♥♥♥♥🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Loved this song before.. Now i think it's the best song ever!!!
Kirk playing a 12.....love how a 12 string sounds.
@Eddie V I played guitar some in high school....was never really that good and got out of it, but I did try a 12 once. That was the coolest sound I had ever heard at that time.
I love James' "nailed it" raised arms in victory @ 6:37. ♥
Some songs we listen to for motivation and some bands we have lived FOREVER and we use the music for everything…. Some have deeper meaning…. When someone else sees what you use to survive…. That is laying yourself bare…
But no
Our James is back!!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Sounds amazing guys!
This song is really good!
The King is Back !!!!
*If this shit doesn’t give you goosebumps & send chills down your spine, you’re not doing it right!* 😎
6:36 who else loves that "Yay" arm pump from James?
Good to see you again James! Always proud of you!
I love how they made play this as if it always was an acoustic song
Crazy. Love this
Love this version👍🤘
Metallica so lucky, the got to play with Avi
Love this song.
Love this song
Cant help but smile when this is played, such a good track.
PERFECT TIMING. I turned my notifications back on today! Love you guys!
Y'all are awesome 👍🏻
Just love this band, this people. Cheers for many more years on road!.
Really love this version, fantastic and sound is top notch
One of my new favorites. The melody is creepy cool
Exactly my thought, there’s kind of a horror movie vibe to this; but I can also hear this being a Bond movie theme. 🤘🏻
What an underrated song im glad they're bringing it back.
Fukn awesome!!! I love this song even more now!!! Metal masters!!!
I just Love Metallica. Rock on guys!!
This is the most amazing bit of music. Metallica just keep getting better.
Love this version of the song. Bravo guys.
Awesome... Purely awesome, God bless them ❤️❤️
I’ve listened to Metallica since I was small and I still love it.🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Absolutely love this version of the song. I think it really plays into how James's voice has matured. Awesome job, guys!
Amazing! My favourite band
love you guys so much, James you´re looking great, healthy, amazing voice as ever, Avi you were incridible, Kirk, Rob and Lars are amazing as ever you always were, thks so much guys, so much exiceted for ouy show in Brazil, love ya
What a pretty song and guitar solo is very beautiful...!!!🎸😘💕💖🎶
I love this song
One of my favourite acoustic pieces of all time. Makes so much sense.
Fabuloso!
Kirk just slays on that 12 string, I love the St. Anger rework.
what a wonderful song 🖤🥰
Sound beautifully amazing! Love u guys 🤘🤘🤘🤘
james sounds amazing
I love this part 0:00 - 6:45
🤘🖤🤘
Awesome!
Keep it up boys! Sounding amazing!!! ✊✊✊
I am and will always be a Metallica fan. Just hearing this is awesome. I like it better than the original off of St.Anger
Same pattern at S&M2
This is amazing with orchestra as well
Its been like this for years since they played at the Bridge concert. It's such a beautiful rendition
They played this version around 10 years ago at the bridge benefit gig.
@@ESPHetfield lol I should have read the comments before jumping in the fire .
Amazing
Most of us went too harsh against St. Anger at the time, good to see how slowly gets the respect it deserves and how the band is starting to incoporate more songs from the album.
I would love to hear a modern version of Some kind of Monster.....we can dream.
The biggest problem with st anger is its production. If had a decent production, the album would be a 6-7 out of 10 instead of a 3~5.
He never gets respect
Until now
Thing is any other heavy band released that album it would have been hailed. Metallica did it and it got flak. Price you pay for being the best. For as many people love you, they're be those who will oppose.
@@jamesmchughski I think the same about Load and ReLoad. If any other rock band did those they would be known as classics. I understand why fans didn't really like them but overall I think they are pretty damn good.
@@S3ppokaali exactly, I personally love the load era, but then I dont dislike any of their albums. I have a different flavour of metallica to suit my mood.
Who likes this version just as much as the original?
It's better to me but I like the energy of the first one a lot
This is One is little better, the original is as shitty as the all album, Metallica train derailed there for good...
@@luismarques9280 well that's the problem with fans and critics alike. They're all hypocrites. They call bands who never change their sound lacking in new ideas and they shame bands for experimenting. What the hell do they want from these bands?
@@tysonwilliams4467 well, i was a fan of Metallica back in the 80's. They always changed their sound, from the 1st to the 2nd, from 2nd to the 3rd, from 3rd to the 4th, liked all. From those tipo now the only good one was the last. What I'm expecting from them? A good metal album....
@@luismarques9280 look, I'm not saying you should like St.. Anger, but you should give metallica credit for having the balls to go a direction most bands would be afraid of going. Metallica is one of the most inspirational metal bands of all time, and that will likely never change.
Awesome 👏 always my favourite band
Brilliant song thanks guys 🤘
I can't stop listening to this version. Avi did really well, love the backing vocals man!
This sounds better than s&m2 version. And I'm pretty sure james was sick and it was really early in the morning when this was recorded, so that's pretty dope.
They finally made justice with this song. Love it \m/
Lets just throw this out there in as simply worded a message as possible. All Within My Hands is f*cking creepy as hell in the most awesome way possible. Absolute psychological masterpiece.
Seems the camera guy forgot that Rob is a part of the band too. Don't see him much in the video..
Or Avi
Probably question of $$$
Welcome back James \m/ (and Kirk's guitar is simply beautiful)
