So if the keypad and mouse aren’t working how can we click or go to anything hun?
Force shutdown the Laptop, plugin a regular mouse to move around. If you have a spare keyboard, do the same as you did with your mouse and run through the solutions

Mannnnn, thank you so much. This was driving me crazy. Solution 5 worked by resetting the PRAM/ NVRAM. I Did not hear a second sound when holding down the buttons, but I’m glad it worked. I held down buttons, then, while still holding buttons, moved my fingers around the trackpad, and I saw the cursor was finally moving. This is how I knew it was working, and it was still on the loading boot-up bar screen. Then I restarted again using my now working mouse and then typed my password at the log-in screen.
Update: it’s back doing the same thing after a day, so I reset again using solution 5 then got into computer and turned off Bluetooth, and my keyboard started to work again.
Second update: now, none of the options will work for my computer, so I bought an external mouse and keyboard. However, I’m sure I will have to clean up files and back everything up to go to an Apple store to get the operating system looked at.
I don’t get it. I press option + command + r + p but what button is r keys?
Tried all the options and tried option 1 again and it's working again! Thank you so much

Thank you very much. The solution was as simple as closing the MacBook down properly. You were the only source that specified that the lid of the Mac needed to be closed.😁

I restarted the mac by pressibg power button.then turn off the lid and removed all the connected devices.andturned on it is working now

If only certain keys dont work then that is water damage, go get it repaired.
