Thanks for this tutorial. I have been trying to use green screen and tracking points for a long time, but the way you showed is more realistic. I am waiting for the next tutorial.
Oh, that is the favourite effect I mentioned in your 3D text video! Can't believe you did a tutorial on this! Feeling really grateful now. Your flat poster looks really really amazing -great job!

Well when you're shooting a simple shot with little to no motion blur, you don't need tracking markers. But if you're shooting on a huge set and you have to deal with scale, it will help the tracking software by having a point of reference an high contrast.
Hey! Totally got you! Have been supervising a lot of shows, features and so on! And that is the thing: Supervision on set is super important as you have to decide on a shot basis, where you need markers and where not! Or in other words, where it will be easier to track the frame of something instead of markers! For example: for some shots you simply need reflections... someone standing close to a window at night looking out! That is basically a mirror, so you need to have reflections! So you must avoid adding markers! Also on a big set as you are mentioning with a small screen in the bg. First, if there is a lot of motion blur, your markers won't be of any help! But chances are, that there is no "real" reflections that need to be restored, so you will get away with faking them! Also when tracking with mocha, you really can track everything! It is simply super powerful! And also if you have to place markers, simply find a spot where 1. you can paint them out easily, for example on the black frame with one clone stamp attached to the track itself... no need to place them where the reflections would be! Hope this helps a bit! And please don't think that you have seen a lot of markers in "making ofs" or "behind the scenes". That is the marvel approach! SImply add as many so you will get a really good track and don't worry about the extra hours everybody has to put in for unnecessary work... Unfortunately that is no clever thinking but money will fix it...
Sorry if I missed it but did you track the poster first and then apply that track to the super hero animation? Or did you have to try to match the super hero animation with your physical camera?
Hey! Switching to english so everyone understands. Question: why doesn't it detect the 4 corners of my table? Answer: AE finds its track points onits own. So you can not specify which points to track (which you can do in other software) AE is looking for points that are easy to track, contrast and so on! I assume your table has no patter or so to track for AE... what you could do is use 4 points that are flat on the same surface, in your case on your table! For that you could place something on the table, or indeed use tracking markers, and place them somewhere, where you are not crossing them or where reflections could be! BUT as you are tracking a flat surface, a planar tracker would be your weapon of choice! I would highly recommend using mocha for that! It is built in into AE and is the best tool you can have for that!
do u have a video on how to do this effect in min 2:22 from this video or explain us how to do it? this is the video or documental see min 2:22 ruclips.net/video/RnFrTQ6WKXY/видео.html
