Why don’t you give it a try with real footage from real filmmakers? With focus issues, camera Blair, overexposure, camera shaking, etc…??? I tried it and sucks….nothing can’t beat Mocha man…..AI is not even close to deal with all the camera issues. Controlnet in SD is the same garbage……keep in mind 99% of the footage shot worldwide is not perfect. But I hate when RUclipsrs, desperate to make a buck, mislead the audience with situations that would never happen in real life. This comes from a film editor with 35 years working in LA…..so, let’s be serious…..
I agree 100% with you, maybe it can be used for some really fast amateur job, but this is nowhere near production quality rotoscope. Even with the footage they used in the tutorial the quality isn't the best on the edges...
The plugin creators here. Mask Prompter and similar ai tools are not meant to replace "traditional" workflows in all cases. We try to offer a fast and easy alternative for situations where you don't need pixel-perfect production quality.
What kind of computer and graphics card are you using that it was so quick? I'm using an old GTX 1060 3gb and it's anything but quick. You're on a Mac without even a dedicated GPU, I assume, and it's that fast?

your sounding like you never heard of roto brush before.. because thats all this is, its just a slightly faster workflow but not by much, rotobrush is already fast. this just garbage mattes it a bit. this is not a gamechanger.. rotobrush was a game changer
This plugin is cool but still not complete in develop! Still so much bug and weird image when it can not roto. Sometimes it better and faster than Rotobush, but sometimes it more worst

With objects that aren't moving much this works great, but add in some more natural and basic walk cycles and movements and the glitches start running away - will be cool to see it evolve though.

I tried this plugin, didn't work, it showed fine in the viewport thus when rendered, glitched artifacts showed where the plugin was used. Used on the latest AE. Had to request a refund
I bought this for an older OSX and AE and it’s very OS dependent. Have a strong machine if you’re going to think about mask prompter. Not sure what the AI is in this tool but it doesn’t work on any of the 4 machines I tried that are truthfully legacy machines. Still, a plug in shouldn’t demand more than need be and this is too much even tho cool
it does when doing this crap automatically. have you ever used mocha pro to do manual roto? takes a powerful system to use it. I have a i7 @ 5gigs with rtx 3080ti, using depthscanner, it maxes out the ram and rest of the system. studios use 30 - 50k systems that make mine look like its 10 years old for this work

Honestly blown away by this. After spending hours using the rotoscoping tool 3.0 in After Effects just today, this blows it out of the water. What a time saver.
Jeezus, that was crazy good. The rotoscoping plugin, at the end, you did add the rails and columns… do you have to animate the dot picker though? Feels like it would get out of the picked section after a few frames. A sort of ‘dirty tracking by hand keyframes’ if you will?
