I also want to note that using trackers in a slightly lighter or darker hue of green or blue is ideal bc you can take advantage of the despot slider in the keylight effect (to avoid masking later). 😀👍
I shot that blank sign at 2:00. Glad it's being used for a good purpose. (Side note, that blank sign is overtop an actual sign, so you're tracking a tracked sign "inception" style.)
@@JamesOrlowski ahhh, so cool! I love it when people who shot the stock we use, find our videos :) Super neat! (and got your inception comment now, you removed the original sign for us! So you did the extra work for us!). I hope users get that they can follow that photoshop hack to remove anything unwanted on the sign.
Thank you for being so clear in your explanations and taking such a gradual, step-by-step approach. Most people on other channels talk so fast that I often give up halfway through the tutorial
Gal, you're awesome. Your explanations are very clear, not too fast and pleasant to follow. So far, I wouldn't learn so much as I also teach After Effects practice, yet I will definitely advise your channel to my students :) Thanks a lot :)
Great tutorial! handy and well explained, and great video editing, I am so thankful. Don't tell anybody, but I have a thousand studio shots with tracking markers, some of which are stuck to props.
There is no tracking panel in Pr, Pr has basic tracking but nothing as close to Ae. If you want to do complex tracking or even basic, you need to know Ae :-)
Yes! This is why some tracking points are a lighter shade of blue or green on set! 🎉 And then you can use the despot tools as we showed in the video to remove them more easily
For a something like that billboard shot, you'd be better of using planar tracking on the actual original billboard content rather than green screen/keying. Less edge jank and and an easier track with better lock to the surface.
@@PremiereGal Yes. I've been editing solely in the beta for about the past year. This is the first time I've had this big of an issue. I went back to the previous version and it is working fine now.
We did the because we had to get rid of the markers by masking them out, if I didn't have a roto-ed layer on top of the dude, I would have a much harder time masking out the markers. Since we have a seperate layer of the subject, I was able to make a simple square mask and do simple keyframes to follow the screens to get rid of the markers. If there were no markers to remove, we could just key the green and called it a day 👍
@@SimonHepworth because I would use garbage mattes and/or just mask them out rather than deal with roto. There's more than one way to skin that particular cat, I was just curious why that was her preference. Go grab some decaf and chill.

Haha yea, thought this would be useful for those of you who would want to remove existing language on a sign ;)

Finally, a tutorial that covers both how to use and remove tracking markers! This was super helpful-thank you! 🙌✨

Lovely thanks
Amazing . I'm from Bangladesh
You earned Sub and like
Thanks
Thanks!!!
I usually use blue or some shade of green colours as tracking points to avoid the headache of rotoscope.

thank you
Is there an advantage to using this over Mocha?
How do you deal with two planes (floor and wall) with subject movement?
Wow 😊
great tutorial. but why didnt you use the keylight instead of rotobrush. would have been faster and cleaner
used both because of tracking markers
why wouldn't you apply the tracking data / camera tracking to any masks that you might need? does it make things go weird?
hie premiere gal
can please create tutorial for aladin genie tell in after effect
Cool

We have another video on planar tracking. we wanted to show another technique

I want to become a professional video editor like you.
I'm from Bangladesh. I have a question. I want to be a good editors in my country. How i will be it?
The latest beta update is causing me all kinds of issues. Every time I click on a clip in the timeline it crashes on me. Really frustrating.
Are you editing in the beta?
@@PremiereGal Yes. I've been editing solely in the beta for about the past year. This is the first time I've had this big of an issue. I went back to the previous version and it is working fine now.
where i find like your Street signs
Then what's the point of making the screens green when we are going to rotoscope the subject anyways?
the roto is only to help remove the markers
I dont follow females and barely even watching their videos till the end, but i for ONCE do.
Please video editing in cupcut Please
There's really no point in rotoing the guy when the screens are going to be beneath the footage anyway, that's just an extra PITA unnecessary step.

Spoken like someone who’s never had to deal with tracking markers before.
That's funny @@SimonHepworth, literally deal with them on the daily ;)
@@KowProdMedia and yet, doesn’t know why you’d need to do roto work to cover them.

God! Save Us. she talking non stop! oh my god!

Why did you rotoscope hacker? There was no need for that step at all
