Hey all, I'm so sorry that I just realized LIGHT WRAP is a free plugin I installed years ago from Production Crate - my bad for forgetting to mention this !!
I couldn't find an option to sign up for a new free level account on Production Crate, but BugMeNot still has an account that works for free downloads.
Mate, I can not explain to you the value this video has given me. You have taken the quality of my content to a professional standard I would never have reached without this video. Thank you kindly.
Even after 2 years from the release of this vvideo this still worked and made it so simple for me to work with green screen. If you are reading this. Thank you from my heart to the creator
Isn't that advanced spill suppression, just, awesome? You can download sample watermarked green screen demo clip: premieregal.com/greenscreen-videvo to follow along.
Light Wrap and Color Matcher are not options on my AE. So far this video has helped me so much!!! But I do not have light wrap or color matcher. do you know if adobe may have changed the name?
After so many years.. this is literally the greatest video that ever taught me this green screen hack. There is a really old video that also helped me to create a mask around the subject in a better way. 1- color key for every green part to make them all harshly disappear 2- simple choker to regain the edges 3- now use keylight this will bring back the edges but this time they are always around the subject .. This youtuber also saved my work ❤️❤️
This is one of the best videos I've seen on how to achieve professional results from greenscreen. Most of the others are so basic and did not enhance my knowledge. One thing I never see addressed, which is the practical part of this usage for me: I only ever go to After Effects with specific renders I've done for tracking type tasks. I know the green-screen in AE is superior. But for the life of me, I can't imagine how I can practically perform the many cuts I need to to create a full scene and make all this back and forth into After Effects manageable. Do you right-click and AE every angle as well as composite in your background. How tedious that sounds. Do you somehow perform your entire scene edit in After Effects? I can't imagine that either. Is there some kind of resources management (different Backgrounds and objects for instance) that you use to make this kind of work more efficient? What is your workflow for getting long green-screen scenes edited between Premiere Pro and After Effects?
By far the best tutorial on intermediate keying which is perfect for those just starting out as they will often be working with "homemade" green screen footage that just doesn't come out great when using an ultra key.
Thank you so much. Your channel is a Motion University! The advanced things you are teaching is commendable, even in big big colleges teachers don't teach this detailed things. Lots of love & respect to you Mam from Cuttack,India!
Thanks for taking time to show this I am new to trying to do professional green screen and I appreciate what you were teaching very much it is very good compared to most your detail is very good thanks again
I am very glad to have stumbled onto this channel by « happy accident » . You present in a refreshingly calm manner that is easy for me as a beginner in After Effects to follow. Please make many more videos!
I used to do keying on premiere pro, but I need to learn this after effects too, so I've just switched it from premiere to after effects. Hopefully, it'll enhance my videos
Amazing and helpful tutorial. You speak really well and explain everything as you go. I'm going to use this when I make my green screen video. Thank you so much.
Wow. This was amazing. I made the mistake of giving myself lots of reflection from the greenscreen (first time I was using a soft box and I was pretty close to the screen so I guess the reflections were inevitable). Had a great picture for a thumbnail and thought I would have to junk it. This saved the Image. Thank you! Actually I have to add (after watching the entire video through), this is much more than I needed, BUT, the extra information was an absolute bonus. Will be trying out these ideas in the weeks to come.
Very cool. Thank you. One thing though: IF you use a photo for the background, you should add some grain, because your keyed video will probably have some and photos don´t have that. At least not grain that moves, like filmgrain.
Hey Gal, Thank you so much for this tutorial.. The breakdown of the effects you used in your method really put things in perspective for me. I am so glad I found this tutorial. Liked & Subscribed of course :D
Hi, this is really a great tutorial! Thanks a lot! One question : Since "color matcher" and "light wrap" don't seem to be real functions of AE but rather seem to be part of a costly add on (Red Giant's VFX SUITE | Supercomp) - how would you suggest to replace / compensate for both functions only using AE functions? Is there a way to do so easily? Any support is appreciated!

Is Color Match a free plugin from Production Crate as well?
I couldn't find an option to sign up for a new free level account on Production Crate, but BugMeNot still has an account that works for free downloads.
How about the Color Match effect?
@@AndrewHerbert Color Matcher, now calls "Color Link"
Good tutorial. Unfortunately, Color Match is missing as well. Been reading that in the forums. Not your fault. An AE thing

@@usmxn i also sis plz tell me where i found that 2 effects?
@@amittheeditor After Effects removed the plug in and now you have to pay for it from Red Giant. You can use curves instead.
Bro i have red giant v17 but where i found color matcher effect?

For everyone asking for the plugin "Color Matcher & Light Wrap" it's a third party plugin from Red Giant.
Does it cost money?
How do you get the plug-in?
You teach at a great pace whiuch makes all the difference to a student like me.

I second this. I thought I was going crazy or misspelling it. It's lame that it's presented as if it's native to AE.
Second this too. Tutorial would be cool, but half of it is useless if you don't have the products...
No response, feel like im on a forum
still no response
Unfortunately "color matcher" and "light wrap" are part of the Red Giant Keying Suite and are not free.
