Hey I’m 62 and just bought a 24 klx300. Been on bikes all my life but at 62 I’ll pass on the wheelies. Lol. Ya I say that now….. Give me a couple week and I’ll be trying it. 😂
A lot of it is natural talent. I’ve been around bikes for 50yrs. Most people I’ve been around just do it without thinking about it. I on the other hand can barely wheelie after practicing for yrs. I’m an intermediate racer BTY.
Great insight on the wheelies, man! It really is all about timing the clutch, shifting your weight, and most importantly: GETTING SEAT TIME! You just need to get out there and practice. I've been making content and some great progress on my heavy CRF250L with wheelies. 4 months ago I could barely get the front wheel up. Now I can ride them out pretty decently. +1 on doing them in 2nd gear as well, 1st is way too torquey to be dumping the clutch when you're learning💪💪
Great, helpful video! I would only suggest that ppl learn to wheelie OFFROAD if that's an option. Dirt is much softer than pavement if you fall off... ;) (ask me how I know)
I have the stock Supermoto and the way it’s geared, I have to drop the clutch at WOT in first to pick the wheel up to balance. Second gear I’m only getting off the ground 2 inches with a full throttle clutch dump.. I cant wait to gear it lower and add a pipe and tuner because having a sumo you can’t wheelie is kinda silly... My 200 exc needs less than half throttle to pick the wheel up in any gear by comparison..
Do you ever do you wheelies standing? I am in the process of doing that and you covered all the basics. I am still very much just starting to learn but I can get them up for a bit then brake to bring it back down. I do it on dirt road or grass or trails. No pavement. I run 12psi
Bro I have the klx300sm and I can’t even get my wheel up off the ground I’ve been trying so hard either I don’t know what I’m doing wrong or For some reason the back doesn’t have enough power?
Try higher RPM.. start off in first gear if you dont wheelie, or have minimal experience.. first gear and dump the clutch going about 5mph at 4grand, that dont work try 5 grand, then 6 etc.. be imediatly ready to hit the rear brake.. you wont need to worry about using your body weight to bring it up if you find the sweet spot
Are you worried about starving the top end of oil during long wheelies? I have a 2023 klx and I love it so far. Just worried about killing it 😬 love the channel!
What prevents your left hand from slipping off of the grip when your fingers are open pulling the clutch ? I like peeling out when taking corners in the grass/dirt , that's fun too
For all guys watching ya may want to practice in dirt--yard first till you get this down so you don't get hurt as bad you or your bike because till then you're bound to crash a few times,,, practice makes perfect
What are you talking about???? My knees are fine! Idk why my exhaust is bent! And no I wasn't crying out of pain after looping onto hard asfault....ok maybe grass
Just watching vids at this point so maybe a dumb Q…. What about visibility? When you’re up in your vids, it’s impossible to view the road. Is that an actual issue, or is it just the position of your GoPro?
I don't like riding mine on the highway, it'll do like 75-80 but it'll be whaling at 10k rpms and sucking up fuel quicker... had a Yamaha wr450f where we swapped the gears to go highway speeds at a better rpm so maybe the supermoto klx has more highway friendly gears? If not bikes like the Suzuki 400 top out at like 90 or there's the klr600...
I did a video on that check it out here ruclips.net/video/5tZqK08WaL0/видео.html for the most part I think it does fine on Highway for shorter periods of time, may get a bit uncomfortable after awhile though
Hey, just bought 24 klx 300 325 miles, I'm 67 this month, love the bike Nolan! Working on the wheelies--- I'll get it
I just bought a 24 KLX300 with 246 miles on it. I am 67.
Awesome to see a couple older gentlemen enjoying the great outdoors and playing on big kid toys. Keep safe fellas

I’m trying to grow up like y’all. Keep it kickin guys!

awesome vid but you should do a part 2 where you have someone filming you or a tripod so we can see your body position on the seat bounce shiggity

no need to write a book bro
yeah I 1st gear looped it
Guess what ima be practicing this week. Good to know where our bikes rpm range likes to come up at. 🤘

With sumo wheels I just burn out🥲
That first wheelie was wild for sitting down!

Very cool! Cant wait to get out and practice!
I was hoping you'd make this video!
Great video!
Nice upload and good advice!
Do a Trail riding Q&A
Good idea I’ll ask for ppl to leave questions in next video comments
Thanks for the video. What kind of camera do you use?

Nicee I mostly like sit down wheelies on the klx but need to try some standing up ones!
this one makes sense !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How long do you think it took your to learn to wheelie ?
Yes.
Don’t forget to cover the rear brake
just got my 24 klx 300 and im having a really hard time getting that front wheel up past a foot. any suggestions?
The import question is why!? Why not buy a unicycle!? I am interested in hopping over rocks and logs; is there any other reason?
Are you worried about starving the top end of oil during long wheelies? I have a 2023 klx and I love it so far. Just worried about killing it 😬 love the channel!
You also wear out chains, sprockets, and clutches doing wheelies often...
What prevents your left hand from slipping off of the grip when your fingers are open pulling the clutch ?
I like peeling out when taking corners in the grass/dirt , that's fun too
You use the clutch with 2 fingers.
You never grab a fist full of clutch. It's a finger or two
Yeah the 2019 klx250 is heavy. I’ve done it on accident still haven’t found the sweet spot.
Bought this bike 2 weeks ago just crashed today trying to wheelie back at it again tomorrow 😂😂
If you had to guess, how many hours did you practice to get balance point wheelies? Trying to get on your level…
For all guys watching ya may want to practice in dirt--yard first till you get this down so you don't get hurt as bad you or your bike because till then you're bound to crash a few times,,, practice makes perfect

Could you wheelie with the stock clutch and brake levers? Or do you recommend changing them to shorter ones?
Yes you can definetly wheelie with the stock levers! If you decide to change them check out the ones linked in the description!
Is that bike fuel injected
I try to pop up my Klx300sm but doesn’t go up enough idk what I’m doing wrong
Nolan finally made the video 😂 what do you have your ejk settings at
I honestly forget but i have a video “ejk install” and haven’t changed them since then!
This is the video and I go over settings ruclips.net/video/wDnfrthO-Pk/видео.html
What kind of front fender you got?
can't u just pop it up in first and shift into second in the wheelie?
Just watching vids at this point so maybe a dumb Q…. What about visibility? When you’re up in your vids, it’s impossible to view the road. Is that an actual issue, or is it just the position of your GoPro?
Yeah that issue does come up when doing wheelies I personally kind of just bob my head to one side a little lol
@@NolanRides I was hoping you’d say it’s not a big deal and just looks bad bc of the way your camera was mounted. 😀
Would you ride the klx300 on the freeway
Saw one on the freeway here yesterday and he kept up with my Hardly Davidson at 80 just fine. Sounded like an angry lawnmower.
I ride mine on the highway at 100-110kmh just fine. I don't like it after 1.5 hours but it's good. I normally just ride off-road
I did a video on that check it out here ruclips.net/video/5tZqK08WaL0/видео.html for the most part I think it does fine on Highway for shorter periods of time, may get a bit uncomfortable after awhile though
On my klx300sm I’m at 7500-8500 rpm’s doing 75 ish. Not the best but I have a 20 minute highway run to work
you doing this in first or second?
Use body weight... I got that one!
😂😂😂
if u cant shift gears u cant wheelie boss
