This guy right here builds a box TO SPEC, for every video. No contest. Get this man some damn subscribers!
For real! No hate against Parker, but his videos are mostly useless because all he does is just throw thousands of watts at a subwoofer and see if they blow. I love when RUclipsrs go into depth about each individual driver and really give a good description on how they sound 👍
@@andrewmcmillan8110 I subscribe to both. If you're about car audio like l am you appreciate both. Budgetbasshead has a better produced and layed out video, more technical information and overall higher end product both in delivery and content. Parkers product is closer to what a lot of car audio buyers actually do. Buy a sub/s and a prefab or use a box they have it found that was similar. He also does amps and other products as well as his build series. His build series is what got me to subscribe. Both of these guys are super valuable to the car audio community 💯
Parker simps for his sponsors. He will take a sub and throw it in a plastic box no where near spec and try to blow it, if it doesn’t blow, he will free air it while clipping it to death, smoke the sub, then throw a sponsors sub in an appropriate sized enclosure and brag about how awesome the sponsors sub is. Sponsors wreck honesty. Same for Big D Wiz, great honest reviews until D4S starts lining his pockets. Now every video is like “Will the Dyno handle this massive amp?” “SKAR, Orion, US Amps shake in fear because of these new amps” and barely comes up for air from JPs fly.
@Hammerback0 Nah nah nah, lets not throw Big D into this. He's pretty legit. He's said multiple times that recommends D4S because he honestly believes they provide a great value. And from the Amp Dyno tests, you can see he's not lying. D4S amps always put out more than their rated power.
Awesome to see another content creator working with Big Jeff, he does a ton of stuff for the community and Absolutely deserves to be know! Their customer service is always on point too!

Gonna get an 8 for the 'glove box' of my Fiero. ( it's between the seat backs and if I take the door of it off, it will hold a decent size 8-inch box sticking out the glove box)

Not gonna lie they are one of the best sounding 8s ive had lows hit really good and sq was amazing only problem is they cant take the power they are rated becuase both subs coil separated from the spiders and i never over powered them. Really disappointed and for the $429 price point thats a hard pass
@HamburgerAmy or could be he bottomed out the coils with an enclosure that unloaded. As for power, I'd say this vid proves that they can handle 1000 w each.
You're not the only one. I also had a pair of rampage 8s and coils separated from the spiders. I had skar zvx 8s and never had problems with those and I even overpowered those skar 8s and they would take it like nothing. Nice, more often then not I’ve always found that they play a lot louder with the box flipped…I’ve flipped my boxes, walled the box off so it was just the speakers and the box face you could see and no air gaps…I ended up just rebuilding the box and had them face the trunk lid…
That goes to show that knowing the parameters of a subwoofer and how to build a box to spec is more important than brand name. I know a guy that's always had one twelve since I was in elementary that could shake your house at 40 yards.

@@BudgetBassHead Mint. ANd that TAR 8000 will show its proof at 1/2 ohm. I dont know how you could wire it up any different? Unless they make a dual 4 ohm?
You are getting the best of both worlds with the way you have your box placed at the moment this box. From my experience if you have a moderately powered sub it works pretty decent to face it toward the trunk but if you have powerful subs you're better off placing them facing toward the front of the cabin and pushed all the way as far back as you can get them next to the trunk if you have a port firing to the fender. When you face very powerful subs toward the trunk it just rattles everything to death and you lose all that force that you could have had captured facing toward the front in my opinion from my experiences but I've had two different subs behave exactly the opposite in this situation also and the one that was facing toward the trunk or facing up that did better was a moderately powered sub The high-powered subs I've used always do better facing a Ford and I always have my port facing one of the fender wheels and I get a lot less noise and a lot less trunk vibration and loss of force. Just my experiences. Great video. Love the B² Audio. Go take a look at Parker the basset new video on the B²!
Im not a fan of tensile leads being woven into the spider, the wire doesn't flex like the spider and it causes stress on the spider where the lead is woven in, because that part of the spider is being tightly bound. I love the lead design on the JLw7 more manufacturers should follow that small but major detail.
6:20 Well I see glue missing and you can see the copper voice coil looks like a weak spot to me they need to step up quality control before shipping it out look over every single Sub like this one for the price not worth it at all.
Do have to ask this cause I have a soundbar that's Vizio and some small subs, I feel like the smaller subs are better and cheaper but bigger subwoofers are not as loud but adds more thump and is way more expensive. So that being said what is y'all's thoughts and setups like cause I'm looking into building one but wondering if I should use big sub or lil subs for a low end build cost?
He tested the 12' version and he more than likely abused before the free air testing. anyway many other tubers have featured these subs with great success.
Ah well you may think so right, but actually since the area requires the square of the radius, the 12 is more like 2.26 8's, or one 8 is theoretically as effective at moving air as roughly 0.5 as a 12. Not accounting for differences in displacement of the cones and what not if it is variable.
@@AlternateRye actually now that I think about it I believe you're mistaken. Object scale is determined by linear dimensions, not surface area. A 2/3 scale 12" sub is an 8" sub regardless of its surface area or how well they perform relative to one another.
Mbe showed what those woofers do in their entirety and i was impressed then. They are just not widely distributed. I been wanting some. I will pay 450 a piece for something to make my heart throb.
I can never figure out why these manufacturers using aluminum voice coils when copper is so much better at dissipating heat. Besides weight and cost of course. The weight seems it would be comparable since you would need less copper to have equivalent performance as aluminum.
Copper is better at transferring electrons, but not dissipate heat as quickly as aluminum. Aluminum is lighter and stronger yet doesn't transfer electrons as efficiently.
Copper coils give better transients because of this greater transference of power, like in my SQL 12s. Just run multiples to get better heat dissipation
Im gettin 164-165db with 2 10in ct sounds xl10s, on a down for sound jp23 v1.5., I cant disclose the box, its my own personal design, and I do not want another trying to copy the box, atleast until I patent it.
@JosephPeluso-f4l if you're worth a nickel, you could just go buy them subs and amp and prove yourself wrong yourself, don't take my word for it. Let me guess you can't afford the budget setup of two xl10s, or a jp23 v1.5? If you can, I hope you understand wiring, I also hope that your brain can function properly enough to design a box. If you can do those things, you will see how not smart you really are.
@BudgetBassHead Always enjoy watching your videos but I feel this might have been a bit biased given “the big discount” received from what we would call “a video sponsor”. We have seen what that’s done to other channels. Keep up the good work but just don’t get tied up with these competing camps.
Thanks for your feedback. I strive to be honest and transparent in my reviews. I never mislead my audience. Every manufacture, vendor and distributor knows this about me.
WOOFERS FACING REAR WOULD BE LOUDER KICKER HAD A TUBE THEY SOLD YEARS AGO THEY CLEARLY TOLD YOU TURN WOOFER TO REAR FOR THE LOUDEST AND FOR BEST SOUND PORT TO REAR
I love those subwoofers...i got 2 of them in one cube each tuned to 38 as per the manual and these subwoofers love the lows for sure....i think a lower tuning would be better for my liking..35 hertz is always the winner to my ear. Great subwoofer for sure.....very efficient to.
No sub company wants everyone to tune low low lol bc the lows is what wears subs out lol not saying b² is scared of being wore out just saying it's a smart company standard bc once your product is pushed on the low end as a standard. We all know lows makes them blows 😄 🤣 😊
To be honest all these high end subs look the same for the most part. Ct sounds meso also look like this and are built well too. But I do like the name b²
@@thewhitefamily5515 that may be true....JL says to tune to 32 hertz on a 10 and they only handle supposedly 300 watts.....i can tell you for sure that isnt the case and you really dont need more than that. These 1000 watt subs make zero difference to me....i don't really care how much a sub can handle as long as it sounds good. For example i used 4 JL Audio 8W1-4 ohm subs for a totl of 600 watts.....people were amazed at how good it sounds. For reference i am running a B2 Audio 2500.1 at both 1-4 ohms...4 ohms sounds much better to me. The point is unless your chasing numbers or just like telling your friends i have 4000 watts subwoofers (i don't do either) then i see it as pointless....what i like about the B2 Rampage is its very efficient....they sound good with 300 watts.....
It’s the box, I’ve herd b2 audio and x8 v4 8 subs and that shit is louder then most 12s but has to be in the right box. My friend got two x8 v4 and that shit is shitting on these dudes riding around with 12s 😂

That's my type of shit right there I'm a big fan of 4/8 has them in the Trailblazer and also firing up in a QX4 Infiniti
How do they compare to the CT sounds Meso 8s?
Better in every way. These subwoofers are extremely overbuilt. The MESO 8 is not.
Save money and get the Meso
Always found 8's can hit just as low as the 10s and 12s and 15s, providing the box is good.
You must do the rage b2 15inch please
That is on the list for sure!
Great video 📸📸📸📸📸📸
Thanks for watching!
What's your box specs?
3 cu.ft after displacement; 37.5Hz tuning
Can you get eight of those in that space?
Yep. Just as a second layer.
@@BudgetBassHead Mint. ANd that TAR 8000 will show its proof at 1/2 ohm. I dont know how you could wire it up any different? Unless they make a dual 4 ohm?
@@BudgetBassHead And I do really ascertain a 150 db with not only spl but clean!
Thanks for the tips. I'll check out Parker next.
Im not a fan of tensile leads being woven into the spider, the wire doesn't flex like the spider and it causes stress on the spider where the lead is woven in, because that part of the spider is being tightly bound. I love the lead design on the JLw7 more manufacturers should follow that small but major detail.
Naa ive never had any issues with woven leads when they are done right.
6:20 Well I see glue missing and you can see the copper voice coil looks like a weak spot to me they need to step up quality control before shipping it out look over every single Sub like this one for the price not worth it at all.
Port off trunk is correct the way you have it
I don’t know if I would say 12 in subs plural. I would probably say closer to 1 12 but it’s still a good number.
I have a soundbar build coming soon. Stay tuned!
@BudgetBassHead okay I will, and keep up the great work bud
My stock Chevy volt stereo plays below 35hz? Who knew? :)
Parker the bass head just did a review and the sub took a dump! Wonder if it was a factory defect?
He tested the 12' version and he more than likely abused before the free air testing. anyway many other tubers have featured these subs with great success.
User error. I switched from sundown nsv4 to b2 rage xl version one and im happy i did.
we believe it got damaged before the free air test . The RAGE XL are beast
nah, not worth the money
@randyman78596 they are if you have money
I know skyhigh sells a lot of b2 audio
Your box is in the right position.
Those 8 inch subwoofers sound exactly like 2/3 scale 12-in subwoofers
So you’re saying those 8s sound like 8s? You’d think so.
Ah well you may think so right, but actually since the area requires the square of the radius, the 12 is more like 2.26 8's, or one 8 is theoretically as effective at moving air as roughly 0.5 as a 12. Not accounting for differences in displacement of the cones and what not if it is variable.
@AlternateRye I stand corrected!
@@AlternateRye actually now that I think about it I believe you're mistaken. Object scale is determined by linear dimensions, not surface area. A 2/3 scale 12" sub is an 8" sub regardless of its surface area or how well they perform relative to one another.
@AlternateRye I was wondering when someone was going to correct that 😜
O subwoofer Brasileiro FB 8pol 850w é idêntico
bass sweep from "100.50" ? Hz tO 20 Hz
subs should face the front in a car, so all the sound goes to were you want it
Mbe showed what those woofers do in their entirety and i was impressed then. They are just not widely distributed. I been wanting some. I will pay 450 a piece for something to make my heart throb.
Nice
They only sound like 10's through my 6.5" subs here.
You funny 😅.
Port that travels hit better turn box around ypur trapping air volume holding back bass travel 😊
@@BudgetBassHead I think you better look that up copper does dissipate heat much faster then aluminum.
Gotta sub outta me
Excellent work! 💪🏿✌🏿
Glad you liked it! 👍
@BudgetBassHead indeed, did you do any reviews on shallow subs? I need my trunk space lol
Im gettin 164-165db with 2 10in ct sounds xl10s, on a down for sound jp23 v1.5., I cant disclose the box, its my own personal design, and I do not want another trying to copy the box, atleast until I patent it.
You already know that no one is going to believe that without proof, right? You got to show videos where that kind of statement 😏
@BudgetBassHead do simple math, it's actually easy to figure out.
@BudgetBassHead if you're not savvy with mathematical calculations and geometry, just ask a.i., the potential of that setup.
Maybe with the mic in the port..lol
@JosephPeluso-f4l if you're worth a nickel, you could just go buy them subs and amp and prove yourself wrong yourself, don't take my word for it. Let me guess you can't afford the budget setup of two xl10s, or a jp23 v1.5? If you can, I hope you understand wiring, I also hope that your brain can function properly enough to design a box. If you can do those things, you will see how not smart you really are.
8 1nch quad box but make it so u got room in the trunk
Then make good looking and good performing sub!
Looks and sounds good but $429 for a 8" sub?? To rich for my blood lol
Thanks for your honesty.
My blood doesn't like the price either. I hit 143 with 4 American Bass hd 8s behind the 3rd row in a suv on 5k.
0:19-0:36 Tell me that doesn’t sound like a women’s toy advertisement or an intro to some adult content 😂.

WOOFERS FACING REAR WOULD BE LOUDER KICKER HAD A TUBE THEY SOLD YEARS AGO THEY CLEARLY TOLD YOU TURN WOOFER TO REAR FOR THE LOUDEST AND FOR BEST SOUND PORT TO REAR
But these aren't Kickers and this isn't a tube AND the port is facing the rear. 🤔
I love those subwoofers...i got 2 of them in one cube each tuned to 38 as per the manual and these subwoofers love the lows for sure....i think a lower tuning would be better for my liking..35 hertz is always the winner to my ear. Great subwoofer for sure.....very efficient to.
That's a great point about the tuning.
@@thewhitefamily5515if you play below tuning yes. Tuning low doesn’t damage subs though
Heard a lot of great reviews about the Rampage. If I was limited on space, I’d have 2-3 of these.
They're definitely small but mighty.
@ I’m reading that they’re the most musical SQL 8” on the market. Price/power/small box etc
I have 2 8’ Skar’s 400rms each in a transmission line box they sound like 12’s and sound good
Transmission line enclosures are great for smaller drivers!
GD! 'nough said
$400 plus per nakid sub. Nah
Gotta pay for quality.
Good things aren’t cheap.
@@princequestly2218The 12 Parker tested didn't do that great.
Your surround is rubbing on passenger side woofer
Good catch! I'll check the install and see if I can fix that.
The type of music I listen too I feel 8s sound better
No, those 8" woofers do not sound like 12" woofers, they sound like 8" woofers.
youre right.. i upgraded from 3 su down 8s to 2 sundown 12s and the difference was huge
It’s the box, I’ve herd b2 audio and x8 v4 8 subs and that shit is louder then most 12s but has to be in the right box. My friend got two x8 v4 and that shit is shitting on these dudes riding around with 12s 😂
@@kontrollme9034 so they sound like shitty 12s lol
@@bdc211 😂 sure buddy, two x8 v4 or even dd in the right box is scary. Sorry you had some cheap ass 8s and probably a trash ass box 😂 my 8s shaking shit and can hear me from blocks away
@@kontrollme9034dude it’s just not reality if you have everything thing equivalent the larger cone area is going to be louder and much cheaper usually
😂😂😂aint paying that much for 8 inch sub's.
Thanks for being honest
