    Two things
    1) plzz pause the movie when
    a) when you r confused between actors
    b) when u both r laughing
    c) when you both a discussing
    d) or scrolling through phone
And then the guys in right misses some important scenes and says i dont know what t movies is about
    2) plzz dont use phn while watching a movie
    Thanks you 😊

If you are not enjoying the movie, just stop watching. People other than South East Asian will not understand the culture, family bond, complicated relationship with parents, cast & class etc. shown in this movie. But it's totally fine. Just remember, for a vast audience it's a whole other emotion. As i said if you feel cringy, do not watch.

In india, unlike the west, we have a different respect for our families and yes their opinion matters a lot.. Especially in marriage part regardless of any class. Here you guys need to know that srk's family is from very rich background and whereas his wife(kajol) compared to his family is from middle class/poor background which obviously srk's father will not accept.
Idk who all have told you guys its over melodramatic and wierd movie(before even u guys have watched it) are crap literally. This movie is dramatic all knows but not very wierd. Every scene to you is feeling like weird because you guys are yet to get to understand indian melodrama in a better way..
And again the laughing part is now too much man.. Idk why u guys laugh so much where its not a stuff at all except the comedy scenes. It disturbs the decorum of reaction

Guys when you are watching an Indian drama, in most cases, it is about family and the dynamics. And you guys need to understand the characters more. You have to become part of the family to get that essence. In American movies, they mostly tell the plot in the initial 20 minutes or so. But not in Indian movies(especially drama). It's like you have to start understanding every character and their behavior. And when the issue comes up (mostly in the intermission period) you know what exactly the motto is. So always go with the flow, you need to understand the culture and mindset of the characters they are acting in the movie. The movie will become easier for you to follow. In today's time, Indian cinema has changed a lot and you can see similar trends like how it is in the West and if not the West, a new way of cinema in Indian movies. Earlier most such movies were for whole families to watch and understand the challenges family faces in such situations and what is the pov of people of different generations based on their culture.

Rich people marriages are not just marriages, they are alliances between two powerful families. Add to that the religious and caste aspect in India and you have a solid, almost unbreakable obligation to marry someone of your parents' choice. It's not right but it's the norm. Even in western countries like America. Society is slowly progressing towards inclusivity but a lot of families still follow these traditions. Also, Big B's character didn't suddenly shift. His stance on traditions and class heirarchy were made very obvious from the start (remember that conversation about marriage where he declares to his wife that "Nothing has changed"? Meaning arranged marriages will continue to happen in their family no matter what).

I think to some extent the class system is everywhere in the world. You have to take in to account t that one family is hugely wealthy and influential and the other family has members who work for them. I’m sure it would happen in the west too were a wealthy family would frown upon their child marrying someone they think to be lower class or poor ?

Everyone be like complaining about these guys laughing too much and losing track of what's going on.
Meanwhile, I love these two for exactly that lol. Them laughing is a whole mood. Everytime they laugh, the scene, if it's serious then it becomes funny and if it's funny then it becomes funnier.
I'd say let the guys enjoy however they like it. Don't demand for scripted reactions. It's good to see people's real emotions, even if it's laughter instead of tears or vice versa.
Besides, the kind of movies y'all are making them watch, what's even there to expect out of them?😅
They're not cutout for deeply cultural movies yet. There are far better movies to make them watch instead of the same few melodramas every reaction channel is told to see. The fame of these movies is understandable, but they're very deeply cultural as well as too much references and stuff that might appear to be cringe if not understood on a required level.
I'd recommend movies like highway, October, My name is Khan, Chakde India, Swades, etc.

That lit match on tongue thing SRK did during the Shava song is an Easter egg. The rap-style song they're singing "aati kya khandala" during that moment is an older song of Rani's that she performed with Amir Khan. Amir's character in that movie is a street thug (I don't know the correct term) who's trying to impress her into going on a date with him while she's playfully teasing him.

Acting, story telling, directing has changed over the years. 1950s movie will be different from 2000s movie and 2000s movie will be different from 2024 movies. It’s called evolution of cinema! U guys laugh too much, not only is it annoying and distracting u from hearing some of the dialogue, it's low key disrespectful too, like I know several parts are cringe, even as an Indian, but i feel like a lot of your laughing and mocking has more to do with your lack of understanding of cultural nuances and sensibilities, and just Bollywood filmmaking in general. Until such time as you develop a better understanding of the culture, u should maybe stick to more offbeat, serious films.
