This was my "rosetta stone" for Indian Cinema in the mid 2000s. I saw a few films before this one, but this one made me really want to explore. So, I mainly just did so by watching movies that starred the main cast, some I liked, some I hated, and a lot I just loved!
    - Watch any movie teaming Shah Rukh and Kajol (Anjali), as their chemistry is off the charts...Diwale Dulhania La Jayenge (A MUST!!!!), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (which was also directed by K3G director Karan Johar, but came first in the filmography, also has Rani Mukherjee (Naina)), Diwale, and My Name Is Khan are all really good. Kajol also makes cameos in a few of Shah Rukh's other films during songs like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Om Shanti Om.
    - Hrithik Roshan (Rohan) is just amazing...check out the Krrish films (an Indian superhero, starting with Koi..Mil Gaya, Krrish, and Krrish 3...I know, odd numbering, but that's it...the last 2 co-star Priyanka Chopra Jonas). Also Dhoom 2, Mujhse Dosti Karogi (with Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee), and Jodhaa Akhbar (a lavish historical drama).
    - Amitabh Bachchan (Yash) and Jaya Bachchan (Nandini) are real-life husband and wife, and this was her re-entry to acting after having kids (I think), Amitabh was the previous Shah Rukh, the biggest star in India in the 1970s through to 1990s. Sholay is a good one with both Amitabh and Jaya, but it's a hardcore drama.
    - Kareena Kapoor is in so many films...but I loved Jab We Met and Laal Singh Chaddha (which is, literally, an Indian remake/adaptation of Forrest Gump, co-produced by Paramount Pictures, and she plays Roopa or Jenny. Aamir Khan is Forrest. Indian history and figures play a part in the story the same as in the original with American history and figures).
    - Rani Mukherjee (Naina) is one of my favorite actresses, if not my favorite...Hum Tum (with Kareena's husband, Saif Ali Khan. Basically an Indian When Harry Met Sally), Dil Bole Haddipa, Baabul, TaRaRumPum, Bunty Aur Babli, Black, Veer-Zaara, and Kabhi Alveda Na Kahena are some good ones.
    - Kajol (fun fact: Rani and Kajol are cousins) is another favorite: U, Me Aur Hum (directed by her husband, Ajay Devgan...the dad in RRR) and Fanaa.
    - So many Shah Rukh movies...Don (a remake of an Amitabh film also stars Kareena and Priyanka Chopra Jonas), Billu Barber, Chak De India, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Chalte Chalte, Swades, and several others I already mentioned.

"Ooo! She ran up all the way to Egypt!" 😂😂 So cool of u to react to this movie. Certain portions of this movie has'nt aged well b'coz it is sometimes overtly dramatic. I would recommend another movie from the same director Rocky aur Rani which released recently. It is good! His movies are funny, emotional, full of wisdom and has strong femal characters. (Poo is supposed to be a caricature b'coz it's funny that way😂😂but again her character is written aa an answer to misogynist comments women hear from men ex- like about clothes)
