      I was disappointed with her song choice. This was a tribute the James Brown, not Ray Charles. James Brown had a bunch of classic slow songs.

      The best out of all of the amazing singers that honored the Godfather on that night. The way she sung that song, you'd think she was born there as well. Lbvs.The queen did an excellent job singing that song

      She can sing. Too bad she didn't sing one of his songs. I can understand her not wanting to attempt his brand of funk, but Try Me, Please Please Please or both would have been better.

    James didn’t seem impressed by any of their performances until Yolanda step on the scene and wowed him… which was evident of his facial expressions. Yolanda gave him that “feeling!” Watch how he “thanks” her towards the end of her performance.

    Ms.Yolanda Adams.....saved the day/ night🤷🏾‍♀️ What a Stellar/ Jawdropping Performance👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽( She never disappoints!!) My goodness they also could've gotten, Michael, Prince,Usher ...even NeYo....then leave the finale up to Ms.Adams( referring to his home state of " Georgia") because she most definitely slaaayed it💫💫....Weren't any of them available? I guess not. Anyways this is my first time seeing this🤦🏾‍♀️...what a let down!!😔
    The Godfather....The hardest working man in showbusiness....Brother James Brown..deserved better!!!!

    Thank God For Yolanda Adams seriously she was the only one that truly came there to do a Tribute. The rest were horrible they needed actual performers not half ass ones smh. James Brown Deserved better.

    Every time Top of the Pops came on in the seventies I would always be looking for James Brown. Those were the days! Innocent and pure. Love it that adverts still sample his tunes! That's what you call Influence with a CAPITAL I!

    Did anyone ever give this man a proper tribute before he died. There aren't many musicians more influential that James Brown. Music sounded like one thing before him and then another after him.

    Yikes ,I could think of 12 singers who could've did the tribute justice.JB deserved better. He was the most sampled artist ever .We wouldn't have Funk,Hip hop ,Prince , Micheal ,Parliament Funkadelic.Mick jagger got his moves from James Brown

      This was in December 2003. MJ would've performed here if it wasn't for the fact that he got arrested days prior in November 20. The headlines were all about his child molestation allegations so I think he just tried to stay out of the limelight and turned this one down.
