Use one of those battery powered candles, that you can set to go on and off at selected times.
You may want to anchor down the trampoline.
They love to take flight in a good breeze.

Mum has dementia and it’s been a long road for her. Her time is minute to minute day to day. I’ve been very sad and not sure of what to feel.. 😘
I keep looking in on her in bed and waiting until she’s with my Dad once again.

Have you considered renting goats to keep the grass down? Also, I think the hooks in the thing outside the bathroom are for hand towels. Loving your channel! Thanks for sharing this adventure with us all.
Love the Pavillion Grey used on the wash stand shelf - the existing wallpaper is very pretty too ❤️ I love greys they are such restful colours in a home. Love the mini chandelier on loan to Adrian’s loo 😄 The lawn looks really nice - what a task you have with all the mowing needed - well worth all the work for your grandson’s Easter egg hunt. Glad Carol knows where the Spas and Casinos are 😄
She even knows how to lose money in them. 😂

With the candle in the lantern... is there a possibility of perhaps putting an LED candle in it or an LED light with a remote fo it? Just thinking how it could cut down on the soot long candle wicks produce, getting replacement candles, and the off chance a lit candle is left in there and it gets used up or wax spills out all over the place.
With the mowing, I'd consider podcasts or entire albums to listen to while mowing. That is a huge amount to mow!
Reckon electric candles are the right move. Mowing with Music in my ears, better than Carole’s nagging. Sorry I meant singing. 😂
Maybe put one of those candles with a battery in them so theres no active flame, just a thought!
I actually like the marble 😊👍🏼 When sitting on the 'throne', you would look like a cherub sitting in an alcove 😁

Wow. Just a lil mountain of Old grass Carole. Wow. A few elephants would have ate that grass in a few days and then pooped alot .. u couldn't have acquired the DUNG to add to the Compost. Excellent compost in a yr or 2😉😂
The toile wallpaper in the hallway.... apparently you can use white bread on the stains, you dab the stain and it soaks into the bread, just dont eat it afterwards ;)
I like the marbling in the toilet. I think it turned out well.

Leaving grass clippings on the lawn,is really good for the lawn. Needed insects can live under the clippings,especially in the fall and winter. And when clippings decompose it’s also good for the grass.

Besides my mom and dad, you two are my favorite couple ever. The talent, love, and respect you two have for each other is simply beautiful.
I like the downstairs loo, assuming the marble effect doesn't look like plastic. The washstand and wallpaper feature wall are a good idea - I do wonder if the lantern might become a bit of an obstacle over time, as it is so large. For now, just painting the washstand made a big difference in that area. Things are getting pretty! PS - might you investigate putting in a chamomile lawn or wildflower meadow to reduce the endless mowing? It's a bother to plant but a blessing afterward (been there, done it).
Marble looks like marble. 😂. I think a larger lawnmower is the answer

Hi Carole! I thought the lamp holder you worked on was GREAT! I have never seen anything like it. The size is perfect for your chateau. (The sanding did sound like an electric bagpipe!) I thought the marbling wasn't terrible, you'll make it better. And all that grass!!! Holy cow. I think the trampoline was a fabulous idea!!! The town you went to seems very beautiful! I was wondering, seeing that you are English, do you miss England, or are you sooooo busy that you haven't noticed yet?? Last time I was in England was in 2016. Seems like forever. Hi Kathy. YES I definitely miss England and my family as we are very close. But there is not enough space there anymore, too many people and too many cars rushing around. Life here is a slow pace and plenty of space in rural France for everyone.

Okay, let’s see, he can work in the gardens and mow….. I will cook and bake! My favorite thing is pies. I can sew and am very crafty, at 75 my ladder days are over… haha! I would LOVE to see France.
For safety, don’t use a real candle. Use a battery operated candle with a timer
You will need a Battery Candle on a remote timer then you don't have to stress about blowing it out all the time.

Is there anyway to clean old wall paper so that it can be used again?
You know, If you fence in your lawn You could run sheep on it and not have to mow so much. My Great uncle and Aunt use to do that. The Sheep fertilized their lawn and keep it cropped close.
The château used to have sheep but there not for us. Thinking bigger lawnmower
Your mower is to small for such a large property. A nice commercial mower with a wider deck would make short work of it. I know they are expensive, but they are very fast and will save time and money as well as fuel in the long run. Plus they are so much fun to use.
We are looking out for a larger mower.

I first have to say that the bathroom marble on video looks wonderful. I am not sure the hand wash station on the out side is right. It seems the size and that light are not as classy as the toilet is. I also think the white pipe in the bathroom needs to be marbleized....but then who the hell am I to say anything to a wonderful couple who have done such a fantastic job at restoration! Please keep the good fight going and crack on, with your work. Oh I think the strip down the middle of the lawn connects to the two strips in the distant strips. Also the village shots are fantastic, please keep sending them.

The candle light holder on the wall is nice but is it original to the house? So very flat. Carole you should work your casting magic on it with and add gold gilding.

I absolutely love that wall hanging with the candle in it yes a little bit bigger candle but that is gorgeous I've never seen anything like that before. But then again I do live in Oklahoma 😂 you too are one of my favorite channels. You actually get work done. I watch a couple of these Chateau channels and they drive me insane how they never get anything done they just talk about what they're going to do and then the video ends lol drives me insane lol you guys actually get it done! Suggest you get a couple ratchet straps and ground screw and fasten the trampoline down so it does not blow away in a high wind
Dan at Chateau LaLande had a really cool idea, where he cut patterns into the tall grass and only cut it down every once in a while, while just using the hedger on it to keep it at a reasonable height.

We have a holiday home near Bagnole de l'Orne , for the las 20 years, the old hotel you showed is now unfortunately private flats, the main hotel in by the Thermes, on the other road leading out of Bagnole. Lovely area, we love it there.
