Geekdom i believe the goku black arc should've been finalized with Future Trunks and Gohan teamwork defeating goku black and zamasu as a redemption for future gohans death at the hand of the androids... it wouldve been a better end for future trunks goku black shouldnt of been as powerful as he was

Well it does explain how GT Goku gets so much of a power-boost from absorbing ki from the other saiyans.
That said GT Gohan was a powerhouse (too bad he was simply villain and spare-energy fodder in GT).

That's the shame of GT. GT's concept was pretty neat. I like it still more than Super. But it came out at the worst possible moment. Directly after 10! years of DB/Z. After the awesome ending of DBZ.
The intererst for continuation was at it's lowest. Toriyama was tired, the fanbase was fed up. There was no need for GT other than milking some money.
Well that said, DBS is exactly the same, BUT with 20 Years inbetween! So the fanbase was hungry again for new stuff!
DBGT has bad arcs and great arcs! Pretty bad was the first arc finding the Black Star Dragon Balls (great concept) and a great arc (one of the best of all time imo) was the Baby arc!
DBS is the same. It has horrible arcs and pretty great arcs! BUT again DBS felt fresh after 10 years.
I swear, if GT was made in 2015 instead of DBS, it would have been impacted the same way! With bigger arcs, way more episodes and way more character playtime, because of a way higher budget!

@@RebelVon I loved GT Gohan. He was introduced as wanting to be a scholar and we see him in that role. Despite the soft appearance he was still strong as fuck. It's pretty much the cliche, don't wake a sleeping giant, which goes back to how he was introduced around the 130s of dragon ball's manga, where he fucking snapped on his uncle when he thought his dad was in trouble.
@@omegabossking character wise, I think Super dropped the ball a little, with him training and then stopping his training, but I loved the whole angle of him being a new father to a newborn baby. It makes you look at his character in a different light vs GT where Pan is a lot older.
I don’t thiinl he dropped training post-RoF so much as the episodes showed him in non-training situations, job interview, etc. The training happened off screen. I can’t put it against gohan if he wanted to entertain trunks instead of train.

To the people asking about Gohan's Ultimate Form: its always been my understanding that he kept the power and just got stronger from there and stacked SSJ on top of it, but Super has ret-conned that. I don't have a real answer for you about what they were thinking creatively.
Surley they forgot about mystic Gohan, just Like they forgot about ssj2. Thats why gt is trash.
My issue with that theory is that if Gohan can stack SSJ on top of his Ultimate form for more power, why did he not do that against Super Buu (Gotenks absorbed).

@@hellspawnvicious9990 Because probably buu wouldn't have given him the time and the end of the buu series was a rushed sloppy mess trying to sloppily re establish goku as the main character and vegeta as the co main character; that change I can mark took place pretty much when gohan was absorbed, further cementing of that was when goku and vegeta should have rescued gohan goten trunks and picollo but rescued hercule the dog and dende instead dende who was useless with regards to his power he could have donated that but the final like 17 episodes of the buu series was the gohan to goku swap in the sloppiest fashion.

And we know from Baby that Gohan's power was the greatest he had (until Vegeta) and he already was in Rildo's body on M-2 which confirms Gohan is stronger than Rildo was on M-2.

Rewatch it in Japanese. English dub is borderline unwatchable. GT is boring sometimes, but it really isn't that bad. A lot of cool moments I forgot or didn't pick up on when I was younger.

It makes me wonder why doesn't hurcule try to learn Ki? He knows its not a "trick" anymore. And he wont get as strong as even yamcha but he could at least get to mid kid goku level.
Even if he was strong too bad he was completely wasted like why did he even need Uub to save him from Rildo? Just transform. They should have had him at least defeat one of the shadow dragons instead of completely leaving it to Goku.
I would love if the Z fighters split up and took on the Dragons in teams. That would've made for a better story for sure. Almost like a tournament arc.

Let's not forget, SSJ Gohan was losing to a nerfed base form kid Goku. They did a terrible job at displaying his power. If he was keeping up his training, he should've been stronger than he was at the end of Z.

My favorite thing about Gohan is that hes humble. He's the type of guy who lets his actions do the talking. With the exception of vegeta, its my experience that people who have to say how tough they are usually arent very tough.

Squaman 6969 within reason to a permanent boost given from great ape form. Otherwise near any of the half lints can train up to or beyond Broly. Don’t forget Broly doesn’t have the training quality any of the earth fighters have. He’s fighting like he does from survival point of view. Even Broly will hit a ceiling after formal training. They all hit it then train to get better. I can teach you how to write. You must practice to become a great writer.

Broly = The MOST powerful Saiyan and has limitless potential
Gohan = The HYBRID Saiyan who has a great potential
Goten could have the most potential.. being the youngest to transform, being born tailless as far as we know (It helped Kale and Caulifla become stronger so why not Goten smh.) and the fact that he's a half saiyan (who have been stated multiple times to have more potential than pure saiyans)
The fact that he gets little screentime and also just a gag character when fused with Trunks, doesn't allow him to grow character wise.. Hell, he wasn't even aged up..
For all we know Goten could grow to Gogeta levels just like Broly..maybe even faster.. Gohan was able to square up with super saiyan blue Goku even tanking a blue kiaoken punch with one day's worth of training with piccolo..
I'm basically saying Goten is wasted potential and could be stronger than Goku with tough training..
By far.....Broly gets stronger while in the same battle, he just naturally grows as opposed to sayains like Goku and Vegeta getting stronger after recovering from a near death battle. Gohan had the most potential since he was introduced but Broly is on another level with the insane power boosts. It took Gohan, Vegeta, and Goku many years and dangerous fights to get to their level, while Broly comes out of nowhere and gets there in minutes.

The files and show are saying too diff things. GT was showing one thing while files was saying another Geekdom. Gohan didn't operate like he kept up on his training in quite a few times

I think the main issue is that Gohan is seen using Super Saiyan a lot. So the assumption is that he's having trouble going to Ultimate form which suggests he should be weaker at a glance.
Still remember in the cut version of the community tab it said "Gohan's edible power"
You guys forgot about very important interview saying Gohan in Super 17 saga came back as the same "super warrior" he became against Super Buu.
Also, according to Baby, Gohan was stronger than Rildo. The latter probably got stronger in hell, but Baby saga Rildo is pretty much confirmed to be weaker than GT Gohan as Baby was amazed by Gohan's power and he already was in Rildo's body before. If Gohan was weaker, Baby wouldn't be impressed at all considering he was the one responsible for Rildo's creation.
Even in Super 17 saga, despite taking a lot of punches from Rildo, he said that he isn't actually hurt.

If Gohan was actually stronger than we thought, it wouldnt make sense for Baby to need Goten's help to defeat Vegeta. Nor would it make sense for Baby to state that Vegeta was stronger than Gohan if he never stopped training.

It’s implied that Gohan doesn’t trust his powers in GT though. Bebi stated that Gohan is a coward but he’s extremely powerful. I’m thinking he didn’t know how to tap into Gohan’s divine ultimate form either.

I really can't let GT PF retcon for me what GT showed. He lost his ultimate form, it really does not look like he kept training, what also would be out of character, and how he was later portrayed supports that he retains the characteristics of Z, that is a guy not crazy for battles and training. Even his character design says he is retired and has moved on, also stated by one of the directors. He was drinking coffee while his dad and daughter were fighting dragons. It looks like they weren't really happy with how the character ended up looking and tried to fix it through guides. He couldn't even as SS and helped by SS Goten, take a starving base Goku(even Yamcha has benefit from that), and should've died vs Rildo. His greatest(and only) feat was not dying immediately vs Rildo. This video is not selling me the idea, sorry.
Gt gohan is base same streanth as ultimate gohan in z. That why he uses ss transformations again. On a side note a feel like people dont understand what ultimate gohan was. Ultimate gohan was gohan having to ability to transform into his highest achievable power for his base form his highest level of potetial. Basicly having a swich he could flick to change from 17 to 30s were he has already achived his base max power. For a channel this big i feel you are consitantly wrong contact me if up for debate or convotaion.

Gohan tranform Super Saiyan doesn't mean that he lost ultimate / mystic form in GT, but I think that this sale more souvenir or toys based on his new design, also GT design is wonderful.

Geekdom the Perfect Files are inconsistent. This video is a great talking point, but GT scriptwriter Atsushi Maekawa confirmed that Gohan GAVE UP fighting to become a scholar. He even went into further detail saying that Toei wanted to reintroduce Ultimate Gohan to GT, but in the end the didn't have enough time to write that into GT's storyline.
I wonder if Chuck can powerscale the Dragon Tales characters.

The only reason he felt like a slacker was that super saiyan(2) seemed like his strongest form in GT. He consistently chose to fight in that form instead of showing his mystic. It made it seem as if that power no longer applied

Gohan being weaker in GT because he didn't have his ultimate form, was a common argument on message boards back in the day. So I guess that kind of just took on a life of its own and people just started using that as powerscaling facts

Becuase he never went "out of it" originally ultimate was supposed to be a permanent boost (whether he has "the bang" or not) him having to "recover it" in Super is one of the many errors in super
I belive the only times Gohan uses super saiyan in gt was to give his super saiyan energy to ss4 goku and when he is possessed by baby who wouldn't know how to use ultimate and believed super saiyan was the only power up gohan had
Christian Corpi Technically he shouldn’t be able to go SSJ anymore like he does in GT either. When old kai told him to try and go SSJ all he did was power up well physically staying the same.

I think people think he's weak because he doesn't compare to any of the big bads and doesn't get any awesome showings like Cell and Buu saga Gohan where he's the focal point and gets to do all this badass, cool shit. He doesn't even get any cool moments like he did several times prior to the Cell saga.

Hate to break it to you... but the facts lean toward Gohan getting weaker in GT. You said Ultimate Gohan was the strongest unfused character in Z and he kept training after Z. If that were the case, he would have still been stronger than Vegeta in GT. He would have kept his lead over Vegeta. However, Baby took over Vegeta's body because Vegeta was stronger than Gohan. So either Vegeta trained twice as hard, caught up to and surpassed Gohan or Gohan became weaker and let Vegeta surpass him. The latter makes more sense.
