Paice had a fantastic drum set up here... I love it, he's my favorite drummer ever...

The best live Stormbringer performance!!! No band can reach dp mark 2 and 3 in live. What a pity that in this there aren't the last seconds... they was wonderful
This was Mk. IV
Gillan was better
Cara, aqui não é competição. Curta a história e o legado do DP.
Tommy Bolin was turned down compared to how loud Ritchie blasted. It’s a shame. I can’t really hear Tommy as well as I want to. I wonder if he realized this. He had to,
There can't be a 'better version' of the song Stormbringer without Ritchie Blackmore, his riffs and his solo... Tommy Bolin has, as usual, ruined a masterpiece!
Unbelievable. 40 years and still no match for a shows like these!
Whitesnake 2016 in London - nice concert :))
2006 - sorry
Igor V Kuznetsov- I think Coverdales voice went, which is so sad considering he was a great vocalist.
Nemanja M. Stambolic Coverdale covers it!
Capolavoro assoluto Stormbringer, la miglior versione live!
Lots of hair 🤩
This is what real rock n roll is like... this is true music that stood test of time
I've been playing guitar since '77 , I first heard Tommy Bolin back in '79 a friend turned me on to the Billy Cobham Spectrum album been a fan since then. Love the little harmonic minor licks he does during the chorus!
Perfect!!!! They're the best.❤❤❤❤❤.. after Ritchie of course))
Wow - this is really good. Obviously one of the few filmed live performances where Tommy Bolin had it all together. And Ian Paice is AWESOME as usual.
All at a performance are virtuous!
Ian paice is the greatest drummer in the world. I tried for years to play like him never could so I quit. The guy is insane on the drums. Impeccable timing, i think you have to play to truly understand how bad ass he is though.
Let me get this straight. You quit drumming just because you can't reach in your words the best in the world lol.
Let me tell you - I know EXACTLY where Felix G is coming from. I’ve been a drummer since I was 8. I though I was good - and the entire neighborhood that I was awesome. When I was 14 I saw Deep Purple in 1972 - basically during the American leg tour of Made In Japan - but BEFORE they went to Japan. I sat directly behind Ian Paice during the show - he was so close I could hear him talking to Roger Glover during songs. After seeing a drumming performance like that I was shocked!! I NEVER knew a drummer could be THAT good. I swear I probably didn’t pick up my drum sticks for probably a year cause I though I SUCKED!!
I think Paice is absolutely one of three, maybe four, of the greatest rock drummers of all time. Unlike the others, or at least more than others, he is very good not only in rock, but also in other genres, such as jazz. So to me he's definitely one of the greatest of all time.
I say this as a drummer too.
He's a Clock!
WOW!! Never heard them play Going Down! Always best when they were jamming! Cleraly an underated period of Puple era!! Bolin was a sutch nice player!/ Love his style/ Love from Sweden!
I adore this line -up even my personal hero was Ritchie --- spectacular performance !
Ilove d.coverdale what a handsome man and his voice 💞 like it always watching deep purple white snakes loveyah
Really nice jam never saw it before been listening to Tommy bolin for years shook hands with John Bolin after a 2006 jam with black oak Arkansas cool peaple. Saw Coverdale with Whitesnake on the slide it in tour 1984 great show!!!
SoYeah! : 🎼🖤🎸🎷 🎻🎹🎺🌺🎧🎼🎩🎩🎩
always a great pleasure to hear this exceptional musician 💪👍
This is beautiful! God bless Tommy Bolin's memory!
Is this the show where his hand was messed up?
No, that show was in Japan. I am writing this out the hat but it was in The Far East. They were successful live in the US and Australia, but it caved in during the UK leg of the tour, the so called fans booing them and shouting name of Richie Blackmore.
onsese joo yeah so many people never give thus album a chance because Blackmore and Ian Gillian wasnt there. Nobody liked the idea of the band splitting but this album kicked major ass there is no denying that
I really love this formation! Pure rock n' roll!!!
Ian Paice GREAT!!! Lord RIP you were a soul in the band, Glenn really covered very well in the bass, David placed a good and modern style. Tommy RIP was not able to show his abilities for a long time, and died too young. this one of the bands that were listened in the 20 century and maybe will still be heard for along time in the 21 th. Congratulations To all, the ones in this video and the others and no less brilliants Steve, Blackmore, Gillian and the good Glover and more. last concerts ae coming soon this month. is going to be the Goodbye
I can only think of one word: Exciting. All debate about who was the better singer or guitarist is irrelevant in the face of such outstanding energy and craft
merci pour ces videos
formation éphémère, mais quel puissance,....
great to see tommy, wish some of his live solo shows would magically appear too. thanks for this.
What a great rock pandaemonium, only the Deep Purple could ever produce!
Thansk god for the rocka and roll... awesone perfomance...
This gives me the chills to hear Tommy Bolin (💜☮️R.I.P..☮️💜); 🙏thank you. Been a Deep Purple fan since the 60’s when I was 8 years old, maybe younger, and DP was on AM radio! This is excellent. I agree with below poster about Ian Paice! Great video quality and sound for 1976.
Deep Purple ist eine großartige Band
What a piece of guitar player Tommy Bolin was!!!
Brilliant work. The thunderous bass/drum work is astounding. 💀🖤💀
Top band ...good lighting great sound
Real Purple fans know of the unfortunate story about this Japanese tour, where Bolin had his left arm partially paralyzed and couldn't move his fingers (take a good look). I don't know where this soundtrack (where Bolin actually plays some of the parts) is from, but it's much better than the original sound for this footage. Nice job in getting it kind of synced to the video!!
lol . About halfway through his guitar momentarily changes from a strat to a les paul and back again
Oh saudade! Tommy Bolin Guitarra. Bom demais. Foi embora novo.
7:42 possibly the greatest moment in the music history!
I like this band every day more....
No doubt those are the greatest rockers ever
Hell yeah, what a gem !!
Saw them with Nazareth January 27th , 1976 at Hershey Park Arena.....I remember it being a rather loud concert . :-)
Deep Purple war eine großartige Band
Y lo siguen siendo.
"Come taste the band" is the one of the greatest DP albums.
@@tiborzkarate1 I know Ritchie very well) And as far as I’m concerned, my favorite albums are In Rock and Made in Japan) But this one is great too!
@@tiborzkarate1 It's like a Whitesnake álbum
@@tiborzkarate1 Sure) ‘cause Tommy Bolin was american))
Yes, an unrecognised gem along with Who Do We Think We Are. Love Stormbringer too, still sounds great 47 years later.
Thish is Truth!
Totally up there on the amazing scale - thanx for putting this up ;) I'd still love to meet Coverdale who was one of my teen idols ;) x
You and me both! DC was my favorite singer way back then and still is today (even though his voice is toast at this point). Posters, picture discs and album covers of Deep Purple, Coverdale/Whitesnake & Rainbow covered my bedroom walls as a teenager. I always wished that Coverdale and Hughes would have done something together after Purple split. Too late now...Hughes can still belt it out with the best of 'em, but poor DC sounds like he gargled with battery acid. The Whitesnake "Purple Album" would have been so awesome only if it had come out 20 years ago when David still had the most incredible blues rock voice I've ever heard!
So many years ago, but still I have to shake my head. Yeah!
Deeppppppppppppppppppppppppppp purpleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
incredible Jan Paice
Those Stormbringer riffs are inhuman.
Jon Lords was Amazing!!!!! truly missed.
Long Beach février 1976

Meu Deus.....volto a juventude.
always the best
all that blow did wonders for Glenn's bass playing
David Coverdale, incredible performance.
Stormbringer was the very first cassette tape I got my mum to buy me . . . played it on the family little Philips pop up cassette recorder . .
I revere John Lord. RIP great master...
a different phase for purple still amazing!!!! but the original of all bands is always best!!!!! thats how we get to feel them know them and now they are no more!!!! SO we are happy to have the memories its LIFEEEEEEEEEEEEE
ufffff men , its fantastic
sensacional!!!!!💜
Ana Carelle tu belleza es sensaconal...💓
@@jesuscampos3867 obrigada!

Wolverine looked at Ian Paice and said, "Now THOSE are sideburns!"
Little known fact: Ian Paice is Wolverine's father!
Great band
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I'm in love😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I could never imagine a Deep Purple 70's without Richie Blackmore. The record proves the truth

Comin' out of nowhere
Drivin' like rain
Stormbringer dance
On the thunder again
Dark cloud gathering
Breaking the day
No point running
'Cause it's coming your way
Ride the rainbow
Crack the sky
Stormbringer coming
Time to die
Got to keep running
Stormbringer coming
He's got nothing you need
He's gonna make you bleed
Rainbow shaker
On a stallion twister
Bareback rider
On the eye of the sky
Stormbringer coming down
Meaning to stay
Thunder and lightning
Heading your way
Ride the rainbow
Crack the sky
Stormbringer coming
Time to die
Got to keep running
Stormbringer coming
He's got nothing you need
He's gonna make you bleed
Coming out of nowhere
Drivin' like a-rain
Stormbringer dance
On the thunder again
Dark cloud gathering
Breaking the day
No point running
'Cause it's coming your way
These two edited tracks are stronger than ever. Without the jams, they are sounding better for a concert ending.
Perfect Job
Oooh man....... Hammer.. Hammer
Even wonderful! Bolin is super!

epica formazione il meglio degli stratosferici deep purple ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, tommy bolin opou k nase r i p ,,,+,,,
Ive been a Deep Purple fan forever literally, Had every vinyl and stormbringer was the coolest shit, if anyone said they didnt like it I ceased talking to them lol. This album kicked so much ass but was over shadowed because of machine heads success. Im still a David Coverdale fan. I remember when whitesnake came out and every one thought he was new lol. Stormbringer and Blackmores rainbow with Dio was the best music time for me. Maybe because I was a teenager who knows but i still love the music. How did we all turn into phone staring robots? Im lazy now but when i was a teen i partied my ass off to this shit. I just heard this on ash vs evil dead last episode I love thar show Bruce Campell is the man so funny.
Grandi meravigliosi Deep purple
Young Coverdale And The WORLDS 🌎 MOST UNDERAPPRECIATED 🥁 DRUMMER!!😅
You matched the film to the soundtrack well.....quite a job!
Love this lineup but Glenn was occasionally a bit ott,and without Ritchie there to glare at him and play over him he went insane. On the whole verrrrry jammy.Even tho Ritchie and Jon jammed all the time it still had an air of purpose and direction, forward propulsion like a Ferrari. This lineup was all over the road like an overpowered Camaro
we like all over the road overpowered Camaros..lol!
The rock&roll line up....
Nice sync job, thought it was all real at first, until the solo in Stormbringer. Never noticed that Ian Paice was a lefty until now.
Bolin forever, and there is nothing to say....)
Like this dc
