As far as keeping the tires inflated or on jack stands. What would you reccomend for us military members who deploy that put their cars in storage. What is the best option
@@Juiced2DK hey, I'm about to go Airforce. Was needing this video!
How to properly store your car: Live in Southern California.
..... aaaaand it’s been stolen
Why Zee Two Fiddy that’s all over-hyped. I ran catless pipes on my Mustang for years. Sometimes people get fix-it tickets for their exhausts, but like smog tests...just return to stock, get approved, re-install aftermarket exhaust.
Why Zee Two Fiddy catback gang
How to properly be told what you can or cannot own: Live in California.
Other good tips:
• leave the windows cracked open
• put it in neutral - have blocks behind tires
• don’t leave anything important in the car
Clean it, dry it, park it, lock it, cover it, lock the garage then relax
Faizaan Ahmed bop it for cars
Had to store my truck for 9 months while I got sent to Korea. Coming home in a month from today and cant wait to drive it again.
Mines in a garage for the winter I just park it with a full tank and start it up every Sunday and let it warm up to operating temp and every 2 weeks I move it forward or backward to a different spot on the tires to avoid flat spots. Been doing it for a long time now no issues and I drive a vr4 their just a problem child to begin with.
Y’all real asf, addressing real problems :’)
Well I just got my 90 Celica gt back don't plan to store it but as soon as I buy those Advanti racing Vigoroso wheels and some tires from you guys I'm parking in in the back yard 😁👍 look too nice to be left out in the open
Exactly what I needed!
This is perfect, I’m about to go off to boot camp and I was just looking up the best ways to store my eg😂
Ok. I will try this. I am actually going out for 2 months. And will see how it holds up in wet "winter".
I've never heard of a storage fuel additive, but that's something I'll definitely try. I always leave my gas tank low when I store my truck (80s carbed v8) so I can add fresh gas in the spring because it doesn't like to start on gas that's been sitting for the winter, but that might allow me to leave it full and not have to worry about fuel system corrosion
Really useful thanks.
Great video 👍 just in time too
Hah jokes on you, my parking brake dosen't work in the first place.
I just line em up in my front yard. I don’t think the neighbors mind.
About to join airforce! Needed this video, thank you :)
The dryer sheet trick is new to me.
For the tires I would inflate them to the maximum rated pressure of the tires, not the max driving pressure that is on the sticker in the door sticker. that would help keep the tires from forming flat spots, just to remember to get them back to the correct pressure before driving off. I would check the tires as the engine would warm up for the first time after long storage.
I don't have a garage unfortunately
So I just store it in a vehicle storage facility that has climate control and stays on a battery tender
My sports cars never saw snow and I tend to keep it that way lol
Aaawww maaaan! So now my rainy driveway aint good enough for my m52 swapped e30 drivewaybuild, where its been standing for the past 2years!! 😱🤷♂️
I've had my autocross car sit on jackstands for the past couple of winters. The suspension doesn't feel any different when I go on the spring shakedown.
SO YOU WANT AN E46
I don’t use dryer sheets but I use Irish spring soap
Considering my engine is out all my body panels are of basically all my interior is almost out and I have no wheels on it anymore Ig all i need is dryer sheets 🤣
Getting ready to be painted and a engine swap
Also tire cradles to distribute the weight
Speaking of dryer sheets, use the same ones if you working on anything outdoors as a mosquito repellent. Rub it on exposed skin and keep it in a breast pocket or near you. You're welcome.
FL Gang 😎
'Wisconsinians': "I fear nothing"
*Winter exists*
Wisconsinians: "but that thing...it scares me
bamwhampow Wisconsinite*
Do I need to do this even when am leaving it for a month?
All this on a Celica and not one on an E46-smh lmao jk love you guys
If your car has a boxer engine, especially the old Subaru’s, you should definitely start everyone couple weeks at least just because of where the oil sits in the heads and the blocks the that pesky head gasket

Gels, please tell me what brand that 9 spoke 2-3 piece wheel is?!!! (2nd to the left of your head if looking at the computer screen, or 2nd wheel to the right of your head from the facing the camera perspective)

No winter in Florida 😏😏😂😂
You never mentioned covering your car with a car cover in the garage. What's your opinion on that?
You need to put some salt and pepper everywhere on your car so it gets seasoned while you are storing it. After you let it sit there for the winter your car is going to be nice and rusty.
When is 20 too wheels of 2020? I need someone to show me what wheels to buy for my mr2 and need some ideas.
Buy what you like not what the other people like!
2014 accord siTTin lOW in Minnesota. Also siTTIn warm. It’s never seen Snow or more important, salt.
I'm sorry, dryer sheets?... Definitely trying that this winter..
I live in california can’t rel8

hahahaha This dude is cool!
If I buy a modded ECU for my car will I need to do anything besides install it? As in, tune it up again, take it somewhere to get checked out, etc. Or can I just send it?
Definitely take it to a dyno, do not just send it. You'll probably break something lol
@@FitmentIndustries Thanks for the reply.
Dang it
my car just sits on the side of our street 😩
😪
@@FitmentIndustries not having a garage sure is one thing when you want to have a quality build
It's winter in Denver yet we haven't had snow for a few days and won't in the forecast even till monday with no snow or slight sprinkle like bruh wtf. No need to store her yet.
Whats if the car have air suspension like land rover lr3.?
Don't store it because it is meant for all weather? lol Drive that SOB
@@bjornironsides6474 weather isn't the only reason to store a car.
And what if you don't have the option of storing it in a garage?
Cover it and do every step listed you can outside
There’s a weird muffled droning in the video
Yep
Is it just me or was the audio in this one fairly muffled? 😯
Very muffled*
Looks like he isn’t wearing a lapel mic so they’re probably using the audio from the boom mic.
@@ThePhobophile Probably 🤔
The problem with leaving Diesel powered vehicles for longer periods is that diesel actually degrades with time a lot more than petrol. (Maybe not a problem in America as you don’t get a lot of diesels, but still something to keep in mind).
That is not true, diesel is an oil and can sit for an exponentially longer time than gas.
What are the wheels from the thumbnail?

Would've been nice to see before I parked my car at my parents place 4 months ago and did none of those 😂
Don’t have to store it if you live the south

Changing the oil before AND after is way overkill lmfao. Just do it when you pull it out.
He said EITHER do it before or after....
Or before, yeah I feel like most of this is overkill if you’re just storing for a couple months
Chicago is terrible it’s basically winter everyday
Live in Chicago! Snow and SALT! Oh boy!
bruh check

Looks like I done fucked up then..
Hers the deal-
If your car is under 15k, there is not need to store it for the winter.
i aint parkin my z in the snow xd
or if you like your car.
If it is a old z then yea don't leave it out side but if it 350z or 70z and not a nismo.
Don't hold value and not point on that.
Most z I seen goes $2k-5k
Alex Strömberg if you don’t drive you car in the snow, it won’t hurt it at all.
@@HeyBigChriss that's what i said.
Never store your car for longer than a month unless you are rich.
Drive your "toy car" every weekend or every.other weekend.
If you CAN'T do this....then you should sell the cars you can't drive and save the rest of the money for rainy day.
If you live in the suburbs and married with children then your "toy car" days are over and you should be putting EVERY single dollar into your family and not spend on your cars.
2nd 3rd 4rth and 5th cars are for RICH people or people who have high incomes, and no kids.
