    First off, great job Mel Gaynor. Solid as a rock as usual. Dave Greenfield, unbelievable keyboard player. The way he just solo'd his way through every line of every song just seemed to fit without seeming to be overplaying. Unbelievable talent and there will never be another.

      Old strangler here as well , amazing video loved it I was in London working there from up north at the height of their fame in 77 sadly I was also locked up at the time 😮😁 my musical tastes are so varied loved all the punk new wave but I was also in to N Soul still am , funny old world ain’t it lol , I still have the rebel in me listening too these old bands I mean the stranglers even though I’m 66 lol

    Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroes & Black and White are still some of the best pieces of work produced during and since the Punk - New Wave era in this country! Brilliant.

      What kind of "devastating" do you mean: Disastrous or dazzling? LOL, German cumment. You have too much ambiguity in English...always having to swing between words of French/Latin, Celtic + Anglo-Saxon origin.
      Black & White is in no way devastating, but yes, a stunning + dazzling album !

    What Dave Greenfield plays, is unbelievable and completley special, hats off. A pitty I can not see him live anymore. All things must pass, could cry. Happy , saw him and the Stranglers many times. Rest in peace, see you later

    Can't believe the energy coming off this . sounds like a new song . Fresh. Can't they just released this stuff the kids nowadays would be blown away. My son just can't believe the raw energy in old stranglers and other 70 s gigs . Thank God for RUclips . eventually they ll catch up

    First time I noticed the organ part I said, "How can anyone make a sequencer do THAT? Each time through the sequence is slightly different!" I watched the video more closely and was amazed. Instant total respect.

    That was absolutely superb. These two bands came out of the post punk New Wave and I was lucky enough to catch both in Sydney early 80s. Notice the clean/pure arpeggios from Greenfield ,no sequencing just smooth/fast fingers.10/10 from me♥️.

    Dave Greenfied my hero. I had the honour tobe right at the front of one of their early concerts, Hugh Cornwall passed me his towel as I was sweating so much. Dave was a wizard nothing like him before or after him ........ Keyboards!

    Great rendition. My favourite song from Rattus Novegicus. Saw The Stranglers live in Melbourne, Australia in 1981. Best gig ever.
