Put the same acoustic on for the st and you'll have a totally different beast. They essentially deleted the resonator and made a bad ass sounding minimal muffler. Makes my 4 banger sound entirely different. 👌 go the extra mile and put on a cold air intake, like a k&n typhoon, even better sounds. But, I do have to warn ⚠️ it can be too much for people if you haven't heard it in person.
Very, very happy with mine, if your daily driving and you don't want your ears blown off, get the stealth, it still is loud and sounds great. I have both for different moods. They're no weld system so you can easily change em out with jack stands. This sounds so dope but does it drone in the cabin and is it loud under regular driving? I'm looking for a nice set up that sounds sporty but won't piss off the neighbors.
Brandon Western Yes, on the FSWERKS website there is an option. Since the sedan isn't a ST, you need to buy the Duratec TiVCT 2012-2015, assuming thats the year you drive.

should be a Duratec 20 Ti-VCT GDI I4 (2.0L). not a bad engine. sounds good and doesn't seem to have many problems.... the automatic transmissions are another story with this model lol. It's the standard mk3 Ford Focus SE engine. Wouldn't even put it past Ford to keep using it in them for a while. has 160hp. With this exhaust, you're squeezing another 9 or so horses out (and another 6 or so FT-lb of torque). Pair it up with something like a K&N Typhoon CAI and you're at about 175hp I think.
FSWerks 2012-2016 Ford Focus SE Hatchback Race Exhaust SKU: FS027. The stealth is a tad bit quieter if you don't like the noise. you possibly already figured this all out but felt like you should get some closure my man.
Backfire is EXPLOSIVE GASES igniting in the exhaust system. Where do they come from? The exhaust valve ports and some additional oxygen added, plus heat, and presto!! There is no such thing as "back pressure" in an exhaust. There is only "zero restriction" and "increased resistance to flow." The only way to burn a valve is to have incorrectly tuned fuel injection running too lean. If opening up the exhaust system isn't compensated by the ECU (which it will be, due to O2 sensors knowing the change), then the air/fuel ratio can get thrown off. But since cars these days are pretty smart and the ECU "learns" driving habits and breathing (intake and exhaust) changes, it can adjust within reason. This is why driving a car from low to high altitude is without a problem because the ECU senses the low air pressure and dials back the fuel to keep the air/fuel ratio correct (losing power in high altitude is normal). Most exhaust systems are cat-back, which retains the stock catalyzer which acts somewhat like a muffler in itself, and causes some restriction in exhaust flow. The only engine systems which CAN eventually burn an exhaust valve on are motorcycles which have received a FULL exhaust system (cat removed) without any subsequent ECU fueling adjustment. They have simple electronic fuel injection systems compared to cars and trucks, which contain a lot more feedback mechanisms and advanced ECUs.
sounds better than the ST in my opinion

BACKFIRE is caused by no back pressure. You may burn your exhaust valves.
You don't need backfiring and loud noise either for good performance.
+RacerLovesGaming Un necessary noise does not make the car faster.

Talking about back pressure when he doesn't even know what backfiring is. It's called after firing not backfiring.
