It’s back! Readthemeade has done tremendous work to get you the insanely cool Zealand American Tiers Database by the new year! FM22 now can have a full 7 tier pro/rel American database with dynamic relegation that includes over 1000 clubs, 90% of which are historically based and many of the others based off of real-life entities like native tribes and other professional sports clubs in the United States.
It completely changes the way the United States plays in Football Manager, taking it from one of the most uniquely weird and challenging leagues to an intuitive, immersive FM experience where you can find and create your own unique save to fit your interests. It’s been tested by a large, awesome team to make sure it stays balanced well into the future and all the leagues/cups make financial sense. The real question is, what are you waiting for?

For Zealand's first save in FM23, he should send off for a mystery box and then wait for the game to be released and then open the box and play as whoever he gets...

The problem is they don't send out lower league kits and Zealand plays lower league teams. I've ordered their shirts and played saves for each one I received (Tenerife, Sevilla, and Standard Liege).
me and my mate did this for each other. buy them a kit and they have to start a save. We both got Venezia.
@@jameshendricks1314 can put in requests in most of the mystery kit boxes tbf. He could probably just explain and ask for a lower league team

Every few months I try to psyche myself up to do a MLS save. Then I actually do it, see all the rules and restrictions, cry because I don't understand it. And quit..
I do understand it and you cant use TAM easily like in real life so its nearly impossible to have a good save.

Did you have any players??? I don't when I went to the lowest possible leagues. Or staff.
@@juliangreengiant there is an option when starting the save to fill the players and staff of teams that have none
Finally downloaded the database, and began playing. Two quick thoughts. 1.) Brain Lock! Was looking for a local team in the lower leagues to see how far I could take them. Find New Jersey Devils FC, and chose them. Wasn't until the first friendly against the Detroit Red Wings did I realize that the NJ Devils FC team is the NHL Devils.
2.) Why do you have the Kearny Irish-Americans (Kearny Celtic) in the database (even worse, have them playing in Newark, NJ), when the club disbanded in Dec 1951. Yes, the team won the Lewis Cup in 1944, but..... Where are the Kearny Scots???
Founded in 1895, the Kearny Scots are one of the oldest CONTINUOUSLY operating soccer clubs in the US. The team currently plays in the Eastern Premier Soccer League. The Team won the American Cup in 1915, won TWO Lewis Cups (1940, 1948), won 5 American Soccer League titles and 6 New Jersey Men's Open Cup Titles. Such a highly decorated team - that is still playing (albeit semi-pro), should not be left out of an American database.
@7:26 second to bottom, Valley United, is my club team! We played in the UPSL and competed in the US Open Cup a couple years ago. Love to see that!

The kind of mods are really cool. I downloaded one for the New Zealand leagues & started a save with the club that I probably would have played for if I was any good.

I've always wondered about an english league system, but with drafts from the league below, and the teams that get promoted get the first overall picks of the league they were in... So U20s in league 2 or national league, and then every 2 years they are eligible for the draft... if they don't make the cut, they can filter into a league that suits them. Sadly it doesn't seem to be possible on the editor

Probably Canada and/or Mexico, maybe England or Germany too so you don't miss out on European regens

The Rochester Rhinos rebranded in September to Rochester New York FC... yes, I know the name and logo aren't fun, but at least they're part owned by Jamie Vardy now

That new logo is most probably ugliest logo i ever seen
I get that high falls was the inspiration and that it is connected to the history of industry in Rochester, but come on. That logo is bland, while every iteration of the rhino stood out. The new name is also really unfortunate. There's nothing that really sets it apart other than how long it is...
im from rochester and it has gotten a ton of backlash from local people. They abandoned the identity that made them famous. If you want to root for a Rochester based team there is a new club that was founded called flower city union and they are going to start play in the NISA in 2022
Yeah, I used to go to their matches as a kid. It's hard to support a club that hasn't played a game in like 4 years and then abandoned the identity that made them fun. I mean, come on, they're the only non-MLS team to win the Lamar Hunt trophy since the MLS was founded... You'd think they'd want to keep that brand

Just had a "funny" with your American Database. I'm in year 2 of playing the NJ Devils, who are playing in the Netflix League One - New England Conference (earned promotion in year 1 on the back of wonderkid Owen Najem). We just completed a stretch of 5 games in 9 days: 2 league games, and 1 game each in the Hunt, Woodsman, and NACL tournaments. The 5th of these games was against the Belmopan Bandits FSC. My NJ Devils won the game 21-0!!! 21 GOALS in one game??????
As this DB has so many teams never heard of, checked who are Belmopan Bandits. They are a semi-professional team from Belize. Considering that most of my NJ Devil players are in the 35-70 CA range - just how bad are Belmopan? All players are grey, fictional players, Does FM just assign them a rating of 1? How is it possible to so thoroughly destroy a team 21-0?
As for the wonderkid Owen Najem - he was just 15 when the 2021-22 season started. He's coded for AM (RCL). He had a 32/110 CA/PA rating on a NJ Devils team filled with players in the 20-40 CA range Najem scored 8 goals against Belmopan! Now in Jan 2023, and Najem has improved to 64/110, and he just recently turned 17, so has a very good chance of reaching full potential.
Another of the Devil's "studs" is Adam Blair (AML), who was 24 in season 1. Now 25, he has a 41/95 and most likely won't reach his potential, but he's a Netflix stud player! But he still added 4 goals in this game
Another wonderkid on the Devils, Ashaun Great Hawk (ST) - great name - we acquired on a free last season as a 15-year-old. Considering he was signed as a free on May 5, 2022 - he was either one of are youth intakes - or a player released from another team's youth intake. Gambled on Great Hawk because of that cool name, and despite a 17 CA he has a PA of 140!! A 15-year-old with a PA of 140, you have to get, even if the CA was putrid. He's now up to a CA of 45, and is only 16 - and has been a great striker for us. Can't complain i
Amazing how many players can be acquired (or lost) on a FREE at this level. Some of the free players work out (Great Hawk), others don't. Picked up Javier Wiesenfarth (ST), last year, at age 21. He had been released by JASA RWC after scoring just 1 goal in 21 games. However, considering he was a 49/113 and just 21, still room for improvement. Despite scoring 33 goals with 12 Assists in 27 Games with the Devils, he has shown ZERO improvement! No change in any stats. Still a 49/113, and at 22, time is running out on improving. But that goal tally has been attracting enough interest that other teams have inquired about purchasing him! If I don't see any development/growth, may just sell him, because at any transfer price, it's a profit.
Wiesenfarth's ratings are whacked anyway.... He's 6'5" but only 178. His Strength is 5, his Stamina is 8, his Work Rate is also 8, and Bravery just 3. Yet his Natural Fitness and Jumping Reach are both 16. I've been training him for both Stamina and Strength, with no improvement and constant complaints from the player about the training. With a Determination of 4 and a work Rate of 8 - looks like he's destined to always remain a lower league player..
To think I just got promoted in my Welsh save - time to jump ship and take Jersey to the top!
Might need to add that you need to tick the add players button for the lower league teams
would it be possible to do very low northern Irish leagues? I’d love to play with my local team, I could use the editor and put them in the third tier but that’s kinda cheesy

It is wierd that is is the next year but when you think about it. it is the same with school you start in the year before your graduate and some finish before that year ends but your graduation year is the next year
I did notice as much as I'm happy to have my northern Kentucky university unfortunately can't play as them but also noticed wrong city stadium and colors

Zealand you should do a Toronto FC save. Imagine if have Insigne in the MLS you would light up the league. Just a thought though.

When starting a new game with that Database should we click the option to add players so teams because otherwise there no players to play with.

I have loaded it all good, but some of the logos are being used by the wrong team like Foxborough and the Blackfoot nation are switched among others anything I can do about that?

I love the idea of just making up various American soccer (football) teams based on what might exist if it was a bigger sport here. I so wish it was but for now I'll take this fantasy.
Well, basketball and football 🏈 in America dates as far back as 75 years to 100 years ago at the time where Black people in America don’t have rights.
These 2 sports work in America whereas soccer doesn’t. Half the country you see kids play basketball at a basketball court or play football 🏈 at a park.

There have been professional soccer leagues in the US since the 1800's People have been playing in soccer leagues in my home town essentially since the town was founded in 1867! That pre-dates the FIRST ever football game (Rutgers vs Princeton - 1869) by 2 years . Basketball wouldn't even be invented until 24 years later, in 1891, by James Naismith.

Enjoying your FM22 USA database, but it is challenging to be Toronto FC as most players have to be American. Hoping for a fix soon.
